I know there is a couple of fellow-Aucklanders on here, so I figure its worth a try. I'm flying back to NZ for my mum's 90th birthday in Rotorua. Which means landing in AKL and hiring a car for two weeks or so. (there is ALWAYS work that needs doing on the house...) Sadly Mum 's birthday is April 1st, so this year the time will cover Easter, when I'm sure nearly everyone will be out in their pride 'n joy. Anyway, I couldn't see the point of paying $40/day to some car hire place when maybe someone had a handy rolla sitting around. Anything reliable will do, Starlet, K-series, Rona... Just make sure it comes with a full toolbox!

Hey, today I've seen that more then I expected have been in the Australian Defence Force Cadets and would like to see some people share their experiences. If you would be able to mention What Service What Era or timeframe What rank or position you gained And just your experiences as a whole that would be awesome. Just to start off I am in the Australian Air Force Cadets as a Cadet Under Officer. Joined in 2004.

Hey, just came back from Auto Salon Bris 2006. Thought i'd share my pics. I took pics of Toyota's and some other cars that caught my eye. Tho it seemed that every loser has a Skyline, 180sx, Silvier, 200sx and Supra. So since we all know what they look like, i didn't waste my memory. I was driving home today and it hasnt rained on the sunny coast for over 3 weeks, As I cruised down the Steve Irwin Way a mad heavy shower came down, I had my windows open, and 3 weeks worth of road smells lifted up into the air. That fresh smell of rain and all the old oily dead smell of cars kinda merged into this great smell. Hot road, cold rain. Hey maybe it's not for everyone but what's those automotive smells that you love? And apart from old gearbox oil, the worst?

Okay, i may be having a dumb moment but i can't seem to change my avatar. So i've gone in and tried to load up the new picture and it will return with the current (OLD) one. So i've also tried deleting the current (OLD) one and loading a new one and when the page reloads it returns with the old one. Please does anyone know what i'm doing wrong?? thanks, Jon.
