hey guys not a rolla i know but a toyota all the same and i know a lot of guys on here are mechanics. question is do the 3L (2.8l diesel engine) have fixed or sliding gudgeon pins?

I have a bit of a technical question how would i go using the early 18mm bigport 4age pistons and using the 4agze rods in a 4afe block i have done some measurements but just want to put the idea out there to see if there is anybody who would see some flaws or possible technical hurdles. Harry

i have bought a bigport 4age from an aw11 mr2 which has 8 flywheel bolts just wondering if any of u pros would please be able to tell me how many flywheel bolts my existing smallport may have here is a pic of my small port help would be greatly appreciated regards joe

Well.. I'm getting back into working on the car after some 'laziness' on my behalf. The car is a KE17 with a 5K and a 5speed.. and now for the questions... - The front setup... I have a whiteline swaybar that I need to put in but the question is should I be doing the KE20 springs (cut) without the front leaf or just putting the sway bar in and getting the leaf re-set.. How stiff are the KE20 springs? I have read about it but don't want to wreck the ride comfort. With that said i do want to lower the front at least 2 inches. - Diff.. now that it has a 5k and 5 speed.. first gear seems like its from a truck lol .. great accel but wouldnt mind a diffe…

Hey, Just wondering if anyone had a rough idea on how much engine parts are likely to be. All these parts are going onto a 3k. Cam, double valve springs, lightened fly wheel and then getting a carby rebuilt/tuned.. Any help would be awesome Cheers Tom

So I believe the diff in my KE36 pano is about to crap itself - its constantly clunking. Anyway just wanting to know what options I have for a replacement. Are the wagon/panel van diffs any different from the sedans? what will bolt in without too much hassle? would a ke55 or ke70 diff bolt in? hey, i think i may have found myself a 5k, but i thinnk it may be a forklift motor.. would need a rebuild and i would be turboing it so it will be getting different pistons anyways.. are there differences between the motors? are they the same? help??

Hey guys. I recently had a K50 gearbox in my ke26. Tomorrow i want to put in my four speed as i'm going to take the k50 to get checked out, i have a feeling it's on the way out. Anyways, do i need to change anything (like the cross member) or does the four speed just bolt straight in? Thanks.

Hi Can anyone tell me how to remove my rear seat squab on my AE82 sedan? There were mice in the car and its the last place to clean!! Hey guys, So my EFI setup is coming along very well and is almost at the state of completion with locking the dizzy being the final step. My original plan was to supercharge the motor with a light 5 psi setup on the stock 5k. I have been contemplating where to run the vac hose from the rocker cover and have come to the thought that the location of the throttle body is going to change the way that the supercharger behaves as well as vac ports. So as it stands the throttle body is nicely sitting on the plenum but I think that I am going to have to move it to the intake of the supercharger. Would this be the correct way setting it up? Hey guys, I'm having some issues with my old girl ( the car... My mums fine) It started a few weeks ago and has gotten progressively worse, I could start the car and drive for a good ten minutes then it would start to die but if I then pulled over it would start again and hold idle but if you reved it, Would be fine then "miss" cough and start to die again, sometimes if you were light with your foot you could recover idle before it died. I used compressed air to blow out the fuel filter that was a little blocked... And noticed the clear plate on the front of the carby that shows fuel level was next to empty.. Recently perchased chrome bumpers for my corolla off kay parts. I received the bumpers with no mounting brackets. test fitted them over the stock mounting brackets on the car (was planning to just make brackets on the bumpers) front sits fine but the rear bumper has about 2-3 cm gap between the body and the bumper. If anyone has made custom brackets for chrome bumpers it would be alot of help if you could give me some ideas of how to fit them. cheers

swapped heads over on the auto 4k kesev i have and the only thing i didnt label was the bloody leads, just wondering easiest way to get it running as it wont start and i don't wanna crank it over with em firing at wrong times etc the leads were taken off the head but not the dizzy any ideas

Ive noticed ke20 parts arw more available.... Ok so I bought a supposedly built 3tc motor today and popped the tapper cover and found double valve springs which was a good start. Other mods so I have been told are o/S valves, cam , springs , porting, has a weber 32/36, and also he said its been over bored to fit 22r pistons. Has anyone ever heard of this or is this guy on crack??? I thought that 89mm was the max for a 3tc. Any info would be great Guys.

hi i have just put twin su's on my 4k and having problems i seem to be able to get it to start with the choke thats all fine, but when i go to give it some gas even if i let it warm up heaps it seems to bog, then as i let it off it revs up a lil then back again. I have very limited knowledge of the su's but have been trying to read everything i can i seem to have done it all right but it still happens can anyone help me at all or any idea's

hey guys :/ never ending problems really. but here is number 4213. finally the ke gets on the road. new battery and fuel filter so it should have ran sweet but! i have just put a 32/36 webber on my 4k. but when i drive it. it runs but as soon as i hit a hill it dies. it just runs out of fuel. its like it can't make it too the webber, any ideas :( this is really killing me now guys :bash:

my engine ight keeps coming on if been told it was the air flow meter changed that still doing it then got told its my coolant temp sensor changed that and its still doing it keeps cutting out and wont rev hard any ideas plz help

hey guys baught myself a 73 ke30 today?? i think its a 73 anyway from what i could gather ok so the loom has been cut and half is missing and nowhere to be seen ? I'm wondering if i can poach a loom out of another car other than a ke30 to replace it , I'm talking replace the wholeee loom or am i just being silly? cheers luke
