Okay so I bought a 3.8 v6 with computer and loom for the rolla at the start of February. So plans for it so far are as follows: Probably a welded diff under it, until i find a reasonably cheap alternative. (won't be road registered) Seam weld areas under most stress. Might have a crack at making up some bracing for front end, behind front guards. Take interia out except for front seats until I get sone racing seats and harnesses. Most likely have to shorten the tailshaft. Things i have done so far: - Cut the mounts off Corolla cross member. - Taken exhaust manifolds off to be modified. - Cleaned engine, free of oil, grime, dust…

hey, just wanted to get some opinion on what you think of it and what i should do to it. here it is, its my first car and I'm still 3 months of my L's, i don't wanna do anything stupid to it, i want to keep it a head turner for the right reasons give it a lower and some non overeactant rims on it to get it out of the granny spec range. (not the best of pics but it has no scratch, dints or rust)

Hey all. My name's evan and ive been on here a little while as i used to have a KE55 sedan. Sold it some time ago so haven't been real active on the forum. Anyway, just today i went and had a look at a 1977 KE36 wagon. Loved it inside and out (even the poo brown paint) and put a deposit on it. So, will be picking it up on monday. Not real sure where i'll go with this project but initially i want a cool daily cruiser. Got some sound gear to go in and will prolly get some 16's on it soon. So, if anyone has any ideas on where i should go from here, or what i should put on/in the rolla, it will be much appreciated. Cheers all. Ev.

Hi All, Time has come to finally begin the rebuild of our old Corolla. Has been in the family since the late 80's when it was my wife's first car. It went through a body rebuild and respray ( was originally mustard yellow )in around 1992 when she was hit by a drunk driver. Got a mechanical rebuild a couple of years later when the 3k and toyoglide finally gave up the ghost. Suspension was replaced then , diff rebuilt, brakes completely replaced front and rear, a jap import 5k built up with a mildly ported and decked head, balanced internals and a 32/36 weber bolted on, and the car converted to a manual gearbox. Was driven around like that and used as a weeke…

Hey all, I'm pretty new to this site but have got alot of valuable info from some of the build ups on here, so I thought I'd do a build up topic if my own.... Here goes, It's a matt black 69 ke10 (my second rolla ive owned to a ke35), when I got it it had a 4k with a 5speed. I had it regoed for 2 days and I torn the g/box mount in half and broke a axle lol. So I started pulling it apart with the intention replace the g/box mount and fix up the diff and use it as a daily for a few months... Insted the engine, box and most of the interior came out.... So I found a fresh 12a Bridgeport and rx5 box on ausrotary so I grabed it and a few other bits and peices. T…

(As with most of my ride forum posts you might want to grab a coffee/tea and settle in for a long one...) The Story As many of you know, I previously owned an 86 which had a 20 valve silvertop installed (http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/34331-sloths-ae86-project-car), unfortunately though, it was damaged beyond repair in an accident. Since the AE86 was my daily I needed something to get me around. I looked around for a while, as my previous daily was the 86 I wanted something else that was fun, something that I enjoyed driving (that wouldn't make me feel depressed as I drove to work every day). In the end I managed to find a purple 1996 Honda Integra G…

Hey Guys, New here and just purchased my first KE20 1973, like the title says 25,000 original miles, owned by an elderly lady from new, she drove it up until ten years ago when she lost her license, the car was then stored in a garage up until two months ago when she passed and left the car to her son who sold it to me. It has the original dealer sticker, original number plates, original spare tyre, tool roll etc... and it drives so well too Let me know what you think?

Hey guys finally i have found myself a ke20 and been able to go through with the sale. I bought it Friday off Ra28gt and have been loving life since. I haven't taken any pictures as yet but hes made a thread about it... Looks the same so far... I do like the granny look so i think that i will go with that so far.. Plans are to put a sun visor on it and maybe widen the stock 12". It does need new carpet and roof lining that will be done in the next few weeks. Other than that its up in the air. The car comes with a spare 3k engine and i am undecided whether or not build that up with cam, webbers etc.. or go for a 4/5k? would it be worth spending money on a 3k?…

heya guys. honestly not a lot to see in here fro a couple of weeks.. moreso thought id chuck up a introduction since theres no where else to do it on here... names daniel, mechanic by trade, and have been sliding cars here in Adelaide for a lil while now... my old 1via was pretty well known, i don't do it competitively, moreso just for fun car inevitably meet mallalas infamous tyre stacks at the top of third gear on a manji gone pear shape... this lead to me reshelling it all into this... long story short it was a piece of shit. swapped it for some toyota love... a 1j gz20 soarer. which i hated to slide. so i sold it and gave up on …

Well thanks to Nick I'm at the proud owner of a KE26 Panel van! Alot of you guys will know this car and know how good it actually is. The car is truly in exceptional condition. Looks to be original 100,000km. Body is fantastic with only a couple dents and no rust apart from very minor surface rust. Interior is amazing with an uncracked dash and dark blue NZ spec interior. Mechanics are good just need a few adjustments here and there. Since I brought the car from Nick i have: - Lowered the front with brand new 5kg 70-80mm lower springs (thanks Ryan) - New body molds down sidelines - Chrome wheel arch molding - Rubbed away alot of surface on the stone…

Hey all, I just recently re purchased my old ke10. i owned it a fair few years ago, i bought it as a green running/registered car. Then Painted it matt black. Then got bored of it a bought a turbo corona and let it sit around for a year or so. Fit a 4age in its engine bay but never got it running. then i sold it... LINK :How i sold it.. Now i bought it back, its a little more stripped to how i sold it.. and has a few less parts to when i sold it... I believe its been through about 3 other owners since me, but never registered under another persons name. This is how i got it back! But all in good time :)

Well I have myself a project. I bought this car with alot of half assed jobs done to it so now I'm going through and fixing everything and making it into what will be a great car 4wd. Orgininally I believe it was a LWB soft top, now chopped to a ute. This is pretty much how I bought it. The poor effort of 3/4 elliptical setup, this is being cut off and back to standard leafs. Very poor welding and the springs drooped till they were sitting on the old mounts anyway. May try and do this setup again at a later stage with a bit more engineering in it. First job I did was pull all the dash and electrics out, these have been cleaned up wires add/tak…

Picked this one up last night, had been floating on Ebay for a while and no one else went to check it out. Original 98,000kms, now sporting a 5 speed, all new shocks & springs, new 16" alloys & tyres, new front end steering components and immaculate only needing a vacuum and exhaust flange gasket replace. Only thing i'll be doing is replace the wheels with some old skool 15" items or factory 14" with hubcaps & whitewalls.

Check out my new daily..... I'm the first to admit that I have never been a fan of FWD Corollas. I am however a fan of Corolas. I sold my yellow KE70 tonight so this thing will be on daily duties for the moment.
