So after my Skyline getting defected and it's slow transformation into something I'd want to drive ended. I decided I needed some new wheels. So, I went to look at a few BA's around the 8k mark and they were all pigs and the AU is butt ugly. I've always had a soft spot for the EF/EL's especially the XR. And when this came up at a caryard just down the road I almost creamed my pants. It's a EF Fairmont kitted up like a XR with all the XR goodies. Hey, thought i'd upload some pics of a project that i've started. I bought the car from a mate for $400 and it didn't start when i first went to pick it up cause of a dodgey starter motor, they got it rebuilt and started first turn of the key. Had some exhaust noise and economy wasn't that great, so about 30 bucks later it was running sweet. During the whole time though it had an oil leak or leaks, so i thought i'd pull it apart and do a gasket and seal change, and also do a auto to manual conversion. So, The story goes along the lines of this. One day, a little old woman decided to get her usual 6 monthly service on her car. The added note on the repair order was that it would idol a little rough at the lights. Considering the car would travel 1 return trip a week from home to the golf course on a thursday mid-morning, every week since 91, she must have been pretty switched on to pickup on it! So i Bought the Ksev about February of 2009, dirty old 4k, standard, Got some wheels, a new exhaust, gktech wheel, and basically havent done much else to it, Finally decided its time to attack it and get it looking somewhat better than it was, so i started by finding what rust i had and figured why not get into it and sand it back to give it a new colour. decided i wanted to do an engine conversion, found a cheap CA18det engine package and have started the process of long hours of sanding, welding, bogging, more sanding, fab work, and such.. Ive always wanted an ae86 and after crashing my 71 I decided to buy a shell and chuck all my gear into it. So last week I picked up a non rolling shell (which is actually not hard to transport). It has a bit of rust and is only half painted. lol. But i plan on cutting out the rust whilst it in in shell form so I wont have to do it again. Anyway here's some info and plans! Just thought I would intro the Family. The youngest 2008 Aurion Sportivo SX6 The 80mod T18 you've meet, getting ready for paint this week and then for sale. The newest addition 79mod KE38 Wagon one owner deceased estate. 97000 klms all service books upto date. $1200. This little KE 38 is a ripper should be registered by Friday. Nothing to do to it. Even the original radio and tape deck still work fine. A wash and polish wouldn't go a stray though. The collection is growing! Loosing the roo bar!

We'll as i already have a very clean KE30 weekender i thought it might be time to replace the daily 'commonwhore' with a real car. The old man and I found this 1980 KE55S CS hardtop via word of mouth and snapped it up. Wasn't running and had been sitting for two years.
