Hey guys, just having some issues with my front left window. Basically my window winds down, and it also winds back up but it only goes about 4 5ths of the way up and then it just stops and when you wind it just makes odd noises slightly like its grinding or what ever. Has anyone had a similar issues? If so post below with how you fixed the issue.. Or if anyone in lives in Brisbane, and would like to come round and give us a hand to attempt to fix the issue, give me a call or text on 0402280709, or just leave a message below cheers :) Ill happily pay for any assistance..

i have a 4k engine and 4speed out of a ke55, will the ke55 manual pedals fit into the ke20. if not can i make it fit? cheers

Has anyone come across one of those 50 dollar clutches to suit a k motor from supercheap? I'm chasing one for my ke10.

G'day guys. Got another question for you. Instead of buying ke20 balljoints ($80) and then spending $60~ on adapters to run ae86 steering arms I'm wondering if i can just put in ke70 balljoints and save myself the money. I know ke20 fits, so my main question is are KE balljoints the same size? I know the tapers different yada-yada. But i'm wondering if physically, like where they press into the Arm if they're the same size? Cheers

Hey guys I have bolt on guards or flairs as some people may call them, I'm just wandering if anyone had pictures from when they installed theirs as I want to do it right, but I've never met anyone with it done, or seen how anyone has done the job.. So I don't really know how to go about doing it, I've heard stories of some people cutting their old flair out completely, and others cutting it into strips! Please help! Any help, tips or pointers are greatly appreciated, cheers.

hi people, does anyone have the torque settings for the big end bearing and main bearing? or a full spread sheet they can email? the motor is a 16v small port 4age red top. I know these answer and probably on here somewhere but i have had a look and can't find them. thanks.

Hey guys. Due to people asking WAY to much for ae86 brakes (imo) i'm starting to think about getting my BC AE86 coilovers with a different stub axle for different brakes.. Now, The brakes need to be relatively easy to get and they MUST fit under 13" wheels.. Does anyone have any suggestions? Right now i'm thinking T18.. As i already have a complete t18 brake setup here, Only thing i've heard is the callipers are a bit of a let down? Anything anyone can tell me or suggest would be overrated! Cheers, Jono

Alrighty guys, so I've been doing some research into engine and suspension mods, and there are some common ones people seem to be doing. BC AE86 Coilovers. AE86 Power Steering Knuckles XT130 Corona Lower Control Arms AJPS Lock Spacer Adjustable Panhard bar Is there anything people would recommend over others, or any fairly basic mods I've missed? hey everyone, i am doing a 4age conversion and ive run into a problem, i went to bolt the gearbox up to the motor today, and half of the bolts don't seem to line up? its a adm t50 and a bigport 4age, with the dowels that are spose to go in the top of the bell housing, the dowel is on the passenger side top sticking out of the engine, whereas the whole for it in the bellhousing is in the drivers side top, and a couple of the bolts just don't seem to go anywhere? I'm confused, please help

hey guys, iv got a 83 ke70 with a manual & 5k conversion.. long story short. I was driving home the other day, and the oil light had come on as i was coming up my street, i got home and checked the level.. was full and rather clean. i started it up again and the light WASNT on.. but after a few minutes it slowly faded on again, and the ( rockers? ) were noticibly louder then normal.. so i turned it off again and checked the level.. was still full. I'm guessing my oil pump has shit its self? if anyone could help me work out the problem that would be great!

The other day after a massive spike a month or so back in temperature (then not driving him), I did a full flush of all coolant and used radiator cleaner and cleaned up the gunky thermostat and put it all back together, and for a week or so it was fine. But now as of a few days ago, the thermostat in my 26 has started fluctuating intermittently, once up to as far as it goes when I was in a multi-story carpark going like 15kmh.. and there's tiny bubbles in the radiator on startup.. And he blew a bit of smoke yesterday. Went to a radiator place in town today and and after a look he said I've done a head gasket, but only a little, and because of a possible partially blocked…

hi, i've recently had the head off my 1984 corolla it is a ke70 4kc 1.3 ltr done 275000 klms . since putting head back on it runs a little bit rough , i set the valve clearence at .008 inlet and .012 exhaust is this the right valve clearence . :hmm:

can a 02 sensor cause a engine light to come on and make the car plater sometimes? the engine is a 4age 20 valve silvertop

my engine ight keeps coming on if been told it was the air flow meter changed that still doing it then got told its my coolant temp sensor changed that and its still doing it keeps cutting out and wont rev hard any ideas plz help

Greetings, I am having a problem with my 95 1.6L that I can't seem to figure out. I have searched many forums and tried many things that resolved others' similar problem with no luck. Basically, the car runs absolutely fine while driving along or for short distances. Once the engine temp gauge reaches the middle, at red lights or in traffic, the engine begins idling very rough and almost stalls. Once you're moving again and the temp cools, all is well. hi everyone, i want to bore out my 5k about 8 thou and put over sized pistons in but i have no idea about it should i do it, will it make much of a difference in power, (will it make a difference at all?) if i do it what else will need to be done. oh and what else can i do to the bottom end to give my 5k more power?

Gday Guys! I've got a sanding disk for my grinder because I'm trying to take pretty much all the paint off my Ke70, due to there being A) terrible paint and B) surface rust. What is the best method, that isn't sand blasting to get the paint off? I've began sanding by hand, got half way through the Bonnet and Boot Lid and was over that method, I've heard that lathering the car in Pain Stripper may work, but also heard about the sanding disks for grinders. What are peoples preferred methods? And with using the Grinding/Sanding Disks, is there a method that works best? Thanks guys, Ethan.

as per thread topic, my ke10 has a Toyoglide, which i was fully prepared to Shift kit, slightly higher stall, and reco. but its gonna cost about 2k... i have most, if not all, of the bits to convert it to a manual. so my question is, do i convert to a manual 4spd(as its all i have laying around)? or do i pay the cash and get the auto rebuilt, tricked and then keeping the car original? thoughts?

hey there I have a st142 toyota corona 22re, i need a locker to start drifting, but when i went to get it welded a friend of mine said it can't be done? does anyone have any info on how to weld this diff or even another diff to put in my corona with out much work needed? if anyone can help would be really great, thanks :)

hey guys :/ never ending problems really. but here is number 4213. finally the ke gets on the road. new battery and fuel filter so it should have ran sweet but! i have just put a 32/36 webber on my 4k. but when i drive it. it runs but as soon as i hit a hill it dies. it just runs out of fuel. its like it can't make it too the webber, any ideas :( this is really killing me now guys :bash:

Hey guys, I own a 1997 Corolla, 130k on the clock and no oil leaks at all and very well looked after, nice and tidy. I am posting because I am looking for advice from someone in-the-know. (Please don't get the wrong impression) I am a young driver so am restricted to lower performance cars (for a good reason) and I'm not really a fan of wrapping myself or my mates around a tree. Okay, 1991 Cressida Grande. Well taken care of, 6th cylinder has started misfiring (the one closest to the firewall). I replaced all the spark plugs and ignition leads yesterday (and the air filter as I had to take part of the intake parts out anyway) to try to combat this issue. And it worked fine, but today the problem has returned. It's running a stock 7M-GE, which is burning off a small bit of oil and water, but no cause for alarm yet (I'm not needing to top it up every day and there's no blue or white smoke coming out of the exhaust). There was a bit of oil on this specific spark plug when I took out the old one, and it was abnormally tighter …

Okay, I'm trying to help a buddy locate a good front coil over conversion for his 1971 Corolla...He does not want to replace the stock strut tube which I believe is smaller that the SR5 buy about 5mm. He is also looking into using ground control front adjustable coil overs so that means he wants a shock that is a short stroke so that when he lowers his front end, the shocks would not bottom out. What would be a good spring rate for street use? I do know that the MR2 shocks are often used, but non SR5 had 45mm outside diameter front strut housing and in contrast the SR5 versions had 50mm housings. I need feedback from someone that has done a short stroke shock replacement …

Hi guys I have problem with my ke70 wagon sometimes try to start the ignition didn't kick but the break light is on everytime try to start the car, try to look for starter motor but don't know where the starter motor location, or how to install a new one so can anyone help me out.. also sometimes the engine shakes, I though it was oil pump or maybe the cabie is gone posibily.. it could be anything... Soo please help I'be just change the oil yesterday and spark plug so hopefully it will work..

Hey all. Going to replace the locks on my Ke10 with solex's. Easy part. Now the bit in unsure of is I have a 1967 drivers door and a 1969 passenger door. The locks and mechanisms are listed as 67 ke10 68 ke10 69 ke10 If I buy a set to suit 1969 ke10 I'm unsure as to if it will work will the 67 door and linkages? Any ideas?

can you use a 20v black top wireing loom on a silvertop

alright. i got jipped a while back with buyin a pair of lcas. they came with new rubbers and you ball joints. and sprayed black so they hell Overrated. BUT there was no outer sleeve. no outer sleeeve no lac's for meee does anyone either have.. or no where i could get these "outer sleeeves" cause i am totally stummped :/
