Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had any idea if you could replace the standard ke20 tail lights(pictured below) with ke25 tail lights (pictured beneath)? The overall shape of the tail lights seem to be very similar, but i wasnt sure if they would fir in the recessed section in the rear of my ke20. Any help would be awesom, cheers

Alright guys......I just recently bought an 1981 liftback the only problem I'm having is the carbs...!!! The brand is mikuni some after market brand I tried looking it up an all I got was motorcycle carbs..... Weird!!! , so the problem I'm having is the rpm idle is at 3 thousand RPM I tried messing with some of the throttle cable,fuel pressure regulator, an even the distributor cap but nothing is turning the idle down....But on the carbs there's like 12 adjustments on it an I tried everything so please guys your my last resort!!!!!!

Hey guys so I have the following 4age 16v smallport w/rear wheel drive intake manifold. T50 gearbox Brand new Vl Fuel pump. Brand new 4age Extractors. Brand new 52mm Aluminum Radiator 220mm flywheel. 4a Clutch. Clutch master slave and hardline. Wiring loom x 2 Ecu What else do I need to put this setup in my ksev? Where would I find them? Stupid enough question I know, but i've had a decent man's look and i've not turned up much success. I'm spraying my Rolla Gunmetal Grey and I want bolt ons for my rims to sit under (or should i say on? ;) ). What is the best way to go about this that people are aware of? G'day guys, I'm a bit stuck, Wondering if anyone knows this. So i have a D dish 5k block and will be running the head off that. Now the cam chosen for my engine can only be done in solid lifter. Now, I have chev/ datsun combo that was going to be used for the turbo build which i scrapped but due to head heights etc.. So, Does anyone know what pushrod and lifter combination can be used to run the 5kc D dish head on the D dish block? Cheers, Jono

anybody know the factory specs where to fender mirrors should be installed on a TE27/KE25? If I remember it correctly, it mounts directly after the second fender bolt (counting from the front of the vehicle). Thanks, Big Mike

alright. this is anoying the hell out of me. every one is saying that the ajps springs i want to get are going to be "too low" and that it will be illegal... the height will be, fronts 200mm and rears are 230mm I'm aware i will need short shocks other wise it would be like haveing no suspention "apparently" :angrybird: so my question is. if i put those springs in will it be illegal in QLD. the back will look like the attatched picture.. all you guys have helped me out heaps in the past so right now would be awesome. Was checking out wheels online and saw this My link so i tried to do this... this is original size dish but my center doesn't fit the other way around!! :bash: I measured it, its about 2-3mm narrower diameter on the opposite side of the rim What's the chances/price/isitevenworthit of getting either center cap or rim tickled down a little bit?? for CRAZY AWSOME DEESHH!! :D like 1mm off the centre all the way round would probably do it

G'day i'm just about to go about doing the diff on the ke10, it's a jap diff and it could be an auto ratio because the car was auto originally. I'll be putting in ke30/55 jap axles for the 4x114.3. I'll be running a k50 along with it and in my experience i've always found the k50 to be pretty short in the gears for my liking, so i was contemplating swapping in another diff centre while it's apart to lengthen it out as much as possible. Now does anyone one know A; A stock ke10's diff ratio, and B; The lowest Ke diff ratio i can swap in and if it's worth it Any info or advice would be Overrated, Cheers! Edit. Was in bed last night flicking through a copy of Modern Motor from September 1967. In the what's new column, they detailed the "Endeavour Equipment Control Rod" for vehicles with a live axle suspended by semi-elliptic springs. It was a very simple set up, that these days would be very easy to replicate. In 1967 it cost $15. Essentially it is a trailing link on the drivers side, that is located between the U bolt bracket and the front spring mount following the line of the spring. Car: Ke70 Issue: Carpet Installation Hey guys, I was wandering If anyone had any tips, pointers or how to's on carpet Instalation as I'm looking to install a pre-moulded ke70 carpet that I picked up brand new from www.nobullaccesories.com.au. I attempted to install it last night but it seems surprisingly difficult, also even though the carpet is pre moulded, it's still too wide for the inside of my car, and don't know if I should cut it or not... my 38 dcoe sideraft carbs :) would it be worth putting them on a stock 4k with a set of extractors? better throttle response or power increase? I am pretty sure they were set up for a ford Kent motor 1600cc specs: 30mm venturis F11 Emulsion Tubes 180 air correction jets 140 main jets 45 f23 idle jets Just looking for a little feedback, maybe someone who has a similiar setup could shed some light, I'm kinda thinking that unless I modify my engine i probably wont gain much at all.. might just save these for another project..

Ok so early this morning (Sneaky time when it was still dark) I drove to my local Exhaust Work Shop, walked around the back, opened the large bin to find a 6" long 3" diameter straight Exhaust Cutoff, and two 6" long 3" Diameter curved Exhaust Cutoff's.. And my plans are to make my own twin drift pipes.. My Ke70 is already running a 3" exhaust - Single pipe, but I want to cut it off about 8" from the rear of the car - Leaving me with a 3" exhaust running almost to the end of my keto without an exhaust tip.. Hey guys, I'm fitting an intercooler to my rolla and I also want to keep the stock front end and street look without any intercooler / piping sticking out - in order to do this it looks like I have to cut the bottom radaitor support, now the question we hate ... is this legal? or am I going to expect trouble from the police / RTA? From my research it appears ok as long as some kind of bracing exists. Unfortunately I don't have a welder so i can't fabricate anything myself beside little metal brackets from alloy.

Hey Peeps, I need a uni joint for my KE50 - and I am not sure if it's the same a a KE55 one, but I have been running into this problem.. Other parts that I have bought for my KE50/55E which I have ordered as standard 'KE55' parts, they've not fitted, or they've needed minor modifications.. So I want to make sure I get the correct universal joint.. Can anyone help as to where the best place might be to get one from in Adelaide (or anywhere in Australia - I am happy to pay postage). I have just purchased a corolla with a blacktop 20 valve 4wd , not knowing too much about them I would like to know if anyone might know what might cause a noise I have from I think the engine. It does not sound like a bearing noise more like a growling whirring noise increases with engine revs. It's a little bit hard to explain exactly kind of sound.

swapped heads over on the auto 4k kesev i have and the only thing i didnt label was the bloody leads, just wondering easiest way to get it running as it wont start and i don't wanna crank it over with em firing at wrong times etc the leads were taken off the head but not the dizzy any ideas

I hate starting threads but... 4age bigport 16v from an AE82 No O2 sensor When I start it, it will catch, chugalug, cough, sound sick so I turn it off. Wait a bit, (2-3 seconds) turn it back on. Start, and it will either do the same thing( go to line 3) or fire really good. So annoying. Ideas? EDIT: Should mention he 'said' he got a new ECU and MAP sensor?

Alright guys, I'm sure there's millions of these threads but I'm on iPhone and it'll take a rediculous amount of time so here we are. I know you can use the crow find a cam thing but I'd have know idea what it's like to live with. So, rebuilding the 5k to put in my ke10, k50 gearbox and possibly ke55 diff. Minimal head besides a skim, 32/36, extractors, dished piston motor. Looking for a bit more mid range pull and maybe a little more top end, nothing huge as I was planning to keep factory head gear and hydro litters as I wasnt sure if my datsun/ Chev combo works with the 5k head height. 4k block with a 5k head in my Rolland. I took the head off the block a week ago to port and polish the head etc. When I took this head into the shop,the man said it is a 5k because it has small combustion chambers. Ok so from what I have heard,the compression this would be making may be WAAAAYY to high? QUESTION: WHY DIDN'T MY ENGINE RUN LIKE A DOG? hey guys, So I'm having trouble at the moment starting my 4k.After sitting overnight, it will turn over first click. after running the car, and then turning it off after say 10 minutes, the starter motor will tick, after two or three times of turning the ignition, then it wont even tick at all. first i thought it was the starter motor, so i replaced that, checked all the wires running to it, and they were fine. but it is still having these problems. any help would be appreciated. Okay guys i've had a few people ask me how i went about ke20 disks on my ke10. So Yesterday and today when i converted my ke10 to ke70 brakes i took some photo's. I know there's already a write up in Faq but this is more a noob based guide. Okay, So before you go ahead and do the conversion, you have options. Which brakes do you want to use? Ke20: Smaller brakes, Older, 4x110 Stud pattern - Will fit your original 12" wheels Ke30: A little larger, 4x114.3 (Ke70 stud pattern) unsure of if 12's will fit, Doubtful Ke70: The same as ke55, Thicker than ke30 with Girlock brake calipers. 4x114.3 Here's a point though, The hubs are interchangable…

G'day, I'm fiddling with the front of my ke10 to get it a little more sorted while i build and buy all the stuff to rack and pinion it. So, I know ke20 springs fit in a ke10 but they're not quite stiff enough for what i'm after. So, I'm after something a little stiffer still, Out of another factory car, Sort of like Dori boys do with falcon springs in a ke70. But no, I don't want falcon springs in my ke10 :lolcry: And yes i'll probabily get the suggestion of kings etc, But i can't justify $160~ for 3-6 months of onroad use until my alternate front end goes in. Hey guys I'm thinking about getting another ke70/ae71 and want it to handle like its on rails, i would pretty well like to know what i will need and what brands/ products to get. I'm also thinking about a 4age conversion in gime too but keep the motor pretty well stock besides extractors and exhaust. My questions are, What suspension to use, shocks and spring kg ect? Swaybars? Brakes? Do i get strut braces? Wheel size, tire size and anything else to make the car as close to a gocart as possible with a reosonable budget 3-4 grand?

hey guys. hope every one had a good christmas! now its time to get some nice stiff springs! diffs locked and ready to go. cars almost done!! Now i have been looking for a while now.... i have come too ajps springs. 3.9 at the front and like 3.2 at the back.... and the other i havnt overly looked into but just some whiteline ones. but they don't make super lows for the ke70! please guys i need some help. i wanna get it sitting about 120mm off the ground if that helps at all... it will be used for mainly street but will wanna slide it on those rainny nights alone :P

Hey I'm new to these corollas, and I have a 4kc in my ke70 and it's running like a dog the second last cyl is not firing, ive changed the plug and the lead and it's still not firing but it's sparking, I can pull the lead off and it will run the same at idle and revs! Is it a sticky valve or what's the problem

Help please I have a 3t motor in my KE20 and wish to fit up a pair of twin side draft carburetors . But the side of the manifold hits on the side of the distributor :bash: it is a long runner manifold. Is there a different distributor that I should swap too? I have searched and Google with no luck But I have found that people use a smaller 2T one? Thanks
