Hey all ive got 3Q's, hopefully some 1 can anwser them ! With the K Series engines - 3k, 4K, 5K etc - What was the largest capasity K engine that came out? - 7K? 8K? & Out of all of those K motors - which 1's came out as a carbie motor not efi? 1 More ! WHich is better in an engine when u rebuild it - (similar like simons - 5K block, 3K race head) - Hi compression or Low compression? Thanks for all ure help people :) Teddy

After a couple of mis-shifts while at skidpan, the change from third to second has become very difficult at any speed over 40 km/h. rev-matching or double clutching doeset help. Have I f@$ked a syncro or somthing or could it be something else?

:D I have the chance to buy some 2nd hand coil over suspension: EP71 coilovers (unknown brand) Height adjustable Damper adjust on rear Spare springs $750.00 neg. Now... I also have the chance to buy brand new shocks and springs for the same price. what should I do? The type of driving I love to do is in the mountains at speeds in excess of 100km/h so cornering means a lot to me... drag racing means nothing to me.. Please help. Tommi :)

Gahhhhh When my bundel of joy doesnt get driven for a wile, the breaks go sticky (thats my nick name 4 it) - basically they stick ( :) ), and u try and move the car - it aint go no where unless u rev the hell outa it then drop it into gear, which slowly releases their grip of death. - i have to do this a few times over untill the car will freely move without the need of tooo many rpms. I know this is bad for my car ... -> reving it, then droping it into gear, i REALLY hate doing it, but theres no other way i know of getting the car to move... hey guys, i've got myself a set of twin hs s.u. carbies and me and my bro have fitted em, but the car is running like shit, it sounds like a rotary/boxer engine :D anyways if anyone knows y that might b or wants to come and have a look and help me out that would be much appreciated. thanks in advance chris

How long is this supposed to be? I've got 2 lying around, one from something I'm not sure, the other from an ST115 and both are 65mm long... How are you meant to adjust them anyway? They don't seem to offer any sort of adjustment...

Ok guys, I've begun to source parts for Maxi's rebuild.... because I will stretch my budget I can't afford to pay for labour (all u money hungry members can push ur back button now!) so I need your help... and to make it even better I thought we can make it into a Rolla Help / Tech day.. were we all can learn how to put in suspension shocks and springs.. replace a bush or 2, put in a slave cylinder and bleed it, plug a WRX Turbo on a custom made manifold and plug up all the oil lines. I have a question about brakes: I replaced the master cylinder and tried bleeding the brakes. Back brakes fine.....front brakes???....no fluid is coming from the nipples.......not even air! Do you think the master cylinder is clogged? If it is......can anyone tell me how to remove the rear piston and spring from the master cylinder? Thanks guys......I'm sure someone will know.

Lately my car has been having a few heat issues when driving, normally it used to sit just above the 1/3 way mark, lately its been hitting half way and jumping to the last mark on the guage before the overheating mark. Replaced the thermostat today and it still did the same thing going up the highway, the guage is all over the place, anyone had temperature troubles with a 4K-C before? any suggestions as to what it might be? had the engine apart 6 months ago and the head gasket was changed then, only other thing I can think of is to try torque the head down a bit more... (suspect it has been chewing some water lately so i'm going to have to keep my eye on it)

Hey all A friend i know has an 83 Corona - 3 speed auto - stock as a brick block. Hes been having this problem - its idoling very ruff - liturally. Any idea whats cauzing this? - why would it just start to happen all of a sudden? Oh and when it rains - EVERY TIME - the car loozes 3/4 Of its oil - even tho its under cover - What The !!?! Something's wrong with my drums I think, have been since I bought the car. Have had them looked at twice, they still don't work anywhere near as well as I think they should. I've got them tightened as far as they will go (I think they're probably even dragging a bit at the moment), it's down to 1 click... But yeah, because they're really very ineffective I have to yank REALLY hard to get them to lock up at all...

My brother just gave me this weber to put on my new engine and i can't for the life of me find anything on the internet that looks remotely like this weber....it weighs in at about 2kg :D and it has 2 35mm throats..can anyone tell me what they think it looks like???....its a little dirty atm but i'm going to clean it up before i chuck it on...... Ok, i'm at my wits end with the f@$king car.. so here's the deal.. It's not sucking fuel. It's got a BRAND NEW fuel pump, brand new filters x2 (one before fuel pump, one right on fuel tank outlet), brand new rubber joints for fuel line connections, fuel tank PROFESSIONALLY cleaned out. YES it does have fuel in it. Also, the carbie (standard Stromberg) has had a new needle & seat installed and cleaned out. can ANYONE shed any light on my problem before i give up and send it to my mechanic... cheers, matt :D :D

Ok peoples somebody out there must have some idea ... What can I use to 'revitalise' my tail light lenses. They are looking a little aged and have the frosted effect that old lenses get. Anybody know of something I can do to them ... and is it worth changing the sockets over to the new style for the tinted globes ?

Hey All If you look at a rotory engine, you'll see that there are 2x spark plugs per rotor. I was thinking would you get any more power out of a cylinder engine if you had 2 spark plugs per cylinder insted of 1 per cylinder? Teddy

The intake is what I'm excited about I'm getting a ford fairlane XD EFI manifold, Injectors, fuel rail and pump for next to nothing. Manifold will be a custom jobbie. …

Hey All Today dad and i descided to move the cars around, to make some more space - we had to move my blue corolla ke70, its been started up now and then, and was moved about 2 M a week or so ago. When it was moved today, it had be driven back and fowards many times to make sure it was positioned corectly - during that time (i had warmed the motor up for 3 mins b4 it was moved) i notused blue smoke was comein out, it wasnt excatly what u call bad, but it was notusiable. Need to know (if you do that is) what size jets people have in these when on a mild 4k. The secondaries on mine feel good, but the idle the power transition is way the rich, and it is doughy as hell until it hits about 2500 rpm. Long shot I think, but you never know... I know Nick has one of these for his KE70, is it on there yet??
