Hi I'm new to this site so i thought i would put abit up about my 77 rolla wagon I'm currently doing. I've put a worked 253 holden v8 in with a shortened 336 commodore diff and commodore struts with kinga discs and running 18x8 custom wheels. So far it has been a pretty easy build I'm just at the stage of body work so it can get painted. The car is being sprayed the color the engine bay is.

Well a wise man once said "I will never own another AE82 again" Yet here I am. Picked it up on Friday night. Pretty sweet deal I guess. It's a very original CSX with all the goodies. Has a very nice interior with the velour headlining, rear headrests, tacho dash and elongated console arrangement. Previous owner added a JVC MP3 headunit and Pioneer front speakers which is mega bonus. The car was originally optioned up with the aircon and power steering so it's an absolute pleasure to drive with the steering. Paintowrk is faded as so I'll need to give it a bit of a cut/polish/wax. Three out of four window regs are rooted so I'll be off to the wreckers in the morning…

Hi everyone, This is my KE70 Panel Van. I bought it two years ago knowing a little about cars, I saw a picture of it and it was exactly what my dad used to drive for many years, actually his was an AE71 pano but same same. Me and my mates used to meet up during the week and just stuff around with our cars because we had too much time on our hands. They convinced me to do the engine conversion. $600 for the Panno. The tailgate was completely full of rust, me and my mate ABSOLUTELY WINGED fixing the rust and it looks amazing, I wish I had a before and after, I still don't have an after because I always forget to take a picture of the tailgate. The passenger d…

picked this AE82 Rolla up for 1200 bucks with 336k's, unfortunately its got the 4ac 5speed in it. when i first drove it, it had no power and was clearly something ignition wise was not right. On saturday i spent the day just going over it to see if it needed anything for a roadworthy and all i could find was a number plate and tail light bulbs, gapped the plugs and cleaned the dizzy and rotor button and took it for a squirt but it was still down on power. Came back and checked the dizzy once more and noticed that it was spark timing was fully retarded and so with a few little movements and test drives its now sweet as and goes like a stabbed rat and for 336k's i think its…

Hi all, I have been lurking around most of the Toyota Corolla forums for a while now, just reading what is out there before deciding to become a member. I have put together a few tuff cars in the past but I have never posted any of the builds on the net, but I would like to share with the members on Rollaclub the build of my little Corolla. The build I would like to share is of my 1 owner KE35, I have been looking to find a good one for the past 2 years. The KE35 I picked up was owned by a little old lady that had all of the log books and had a full service history from the day she bought it from the Toyota dealer. Make ~ Toyota Model ~ Corolla KE35 Year ~…

Hey guys, My Project Plan: My plan is to rebuild a Toyota Corolla Ke17 Sprinter which has been my dads for many years and has been sitting around unused since 1996, From what i can gather it had a 4k in the end which had a big cam i think and dad said it went ok. Anyway my plan is to get the car and do a full rebuild from ground up, ill put a 3k or 4k(which we have under the bench and has a big cam :laff:) then make the engine a uprite version which will be a bit of work but will be worth it in the end, set of twin 40mm webbers, twin throttle linkage, t50 gearbox modified to suite uprite engine, um not sure on front end yet but prob rosebud joint the front end, may…

Introducing... My 1982 Corolla XX. My 'rolla started life as a lovely little car. With a 4K-C, 5 speed manual, tacho dash, brown velour trim and AC, it was living the life. From what I know, it then went on to become part of a learner fleet. and from there it passed into the hands of a bogan. When I saw the ad on Gumtree for $750, the old familiar rolla itch came back to me. I went and sussed it out; the bogan lived in Ferny Hills, and had been flooded. There was an EA parked on the street that would move no more, it had copped it up to the glass. Their electrics are suss enough at the best of times, without submerging to complicate the picture. The rolla, howev…

Volk racing 3 piece meshies all round - 14x 6.5 then a random range of skidder mags with mostly 155's stretched on. currently in white primer while i finish off some more bodywork then its getting painted probably a slightly lighter shade of gun metal grey. Hey ladies and kentleman. Yet another car yet another long boring story. Anyways, With she who must be obeyed taking the RT40 as her own and it not really being a suitable daily anyways, i decided to start looking for something to suit my tastes. the criteria was the following: -it had to me big and comfy, as I'm a tall kent -aircon and power steer were preferred, -auto was a big must, i severely dislike driving in heavy traffic, and frankly I'm getting old and soft. - preferably something big enough to tow my trailer a little more comfortably than my poor DX, its only a little box trailer but then again its only a little corolla. - it preferred the idea…

well my KE25 is getting close to rego so I figure I should start a thread. I bought this KE25 about 15 months ago from a mate who had crashed it into the back of a hilux. I was after a KE25 (I had a KE20 at the time) and his insurance company didnt want to fix his car (wasnt written off) so I originally planned to just buy the car and swap the engine, tranny and diff into my 20... but when I seen the damage and realised it was easily repairable I decided id fix the KE25 because ive always prefered the shape. this was the damage, you can't see it too well but the radiator support panel was caved in: it took me a while to find a replacement support panel,…

Well like every story starts off, i was looking for a car. We had just sold the pajero and i wanted something to have as a daily driver as my corolla is just receiving far too much police attention with its mods it has. Found a couple cars on carsales.com i wanted to go and look at, so i made some phone calls and organised to go look at them all on a saturday. The first was a MX73 cressida, that was in shocking condition and quite frankly wasnt even worth the 500 bucks being asked. id hoped it was better cause i really wanted one of them as a new daily, but not much i can do there. The second car we went and looked at was one i hadnt told my missus much about just…

Hello everyone. I bought my first car for $500 the other day. It is a 1981 3sp Auto with a standard 4k. The paint is fairly rough it even comes off onto you hand as you wipe your hand across the car. The seats are very ripped and there is a big dent in the rear bumper. My Plans so far it to paint it in a dark metallic midnight purple with 16" or 17" Chrome rims and Cream Leather interior throughout.

Hi everyone, My name is Gordon MacK, I've been in the car and drift scene in Victoria, Aus for quite some time now. My mate decided that his first car wasn't good enough for him and I took it off his hands. I already own an FC RX7 with 350rwhp, I'm aiming for the little Rolla to have 100-150rwhp by the time I'm finished modifying it. I'd like to know absolutely everything about this car, anything you can tell me from the photos would be great. I'm currently buying parts to get her road worthy, once she's on the road she will be modified to be driftable. As all early Rollas are meant to be lol. Anyway, the pics: To do: Fit passenger fro…

Hey guys, been lurking these forums for ages but never actually post anything. Anyhow after many an argument with my girlfriend and a little bit of haggling I finally got my hands another KE70 This is the third corolla Ive owned and Ive always had a massive soft spot for them, the last 2 being a standard ke55 and a 4age powered ke70 (also owned an ae86 with a 4age) Anyhow... a few years ago me and a mate were driving all around the country side looking for old cars people had laying around to use as a cheap khanacross car (my mate bought a KE70 for $20 once lol) as we had in the past acquired all sorts of things for next to nothing. hey guys thought id post some pics of my AE92 corolla seca. i have done few mods such as guages steering wheel and a basic sound system, still need to get subs and amps though, i just recently bought a SX seca spoiler which i will be stripping the paint off and respraying the same as the body of the car.. will do that when i get the paint and time. just recently i rebuilt the carby and replaced the inlet manifold gasket, goes a fair bit better than it did before i did that. I will be getting an exhaust with extractors in a few months so that should help things out a bit further. Future mods will be a 4age 16V or 20V conversion which i will be building myself as soon as i …

i scored this one off ebay for $650, picked it up from albury (boarder of nsw/melb). since i couldnt find anyone to tow it back on a tralier i decided to drive it back , it was a 3 hour drive each way. i loaded the car with almost all my tools from work. spare dissy/fuel pump/carby/tyre Just incase.. what a waste of time that was. drove it back didnt break down! but then again it is s a corolla some pics as the story goes from the seller he bought it off a 16 year old girl who was learning to drive in her back yard, so she painted the car in pink house paint! so the seller bought it off of her. sanded it all back and painted it in 2pak. he painte…

After deciding that it was time for an older Toyota to enjoy over the summer months the search began. After looking for an early Corolla or RT40 Corona with no luck I decided to broaden my horizons to Crowns. Why I never looked at Crowns before is beyond me but i'm sure as hell glad I did. After a week and a half of searching I stumbled across an elderly gentlemen selling his 1970 MS55 in S.A. I rang the number and the rest is history. He had owned the car for the last 19 years (he's 79) after purchasing it from a 92 year old who'd owned it since new. I drove up on a Sunday morning and after some haggling she was on a trailer and I was on my way back home to Vic t…

Jello everybody, thought I would finally introduce myself and my machine. It is a 1984 KE70. Plans include, flat front end, chrome bumpers, chrome trim tail lights, Datsun 280 side repeater indicators, redo interior in red, full respray in crisp white, and renovate my 4K to look shiny! We currently live in Tasmania, all over the state actually! It needs to get RWC for rego however. Can I get RWC while missing this bit? I will clean up the wires and such, but do you need that part of the console? Also, I'm putting in new carpet. Can I cut a hole in my carpet to just go around the geartstick rubber, without having the sheath? As it's ne…

Time has come to create a thread on my baby, affectionately known as "Project Celica". Figured I better show I still have a Toyota in the garage since I will be still floating around rollaclub! I will try and distill the thread from toymods that I have been running on it since July 2007 into something that will make sense here. Hopefully its not too much of a mishmash! I acquired this couple of owner silver ra23 from a fellow Toymodder back in October 2005 in Sydney Australia. After a good service I drove her home the 1000km to Melbourne - the alternator failed in the last 100km and we only just made it in to the drive way, but we did make it. I bought her to …

I got this KE55 from my brother, he has had it in his farm shed for 8 years west of Gympie in Qld. A mate of ours overheated it driving out ther 8 years ago and left it there. My bro rebuilt the 4K with new pistons and the usual stuff. It's been run but not driven. So he started the body work and lost interest and it sat half rubbed back since. I finally bullied him into relinquishing it to me to make into a hillclimber and new home for an SXE10 Beams 3sge and 6MT that I had. As "purchased". The new engine with a 1UZ throttle body adapted to remove the stupid half drive by wire setup. We decided to get the panel work done first and re…

Hey Guys and Girls , my names Jordan I'm relatively new here although i've been following many posts for a while now and this will be my first :D. I've recently bought myself a 1975 KE30 from SA, which i admit was a huge mistake, and have paid for now. I guess its just a lesson learnt in time.. I got it trucked over here and whatnot and discovered it wasn't in as good a nick as i thought it would be (or the nick that the dude said it would be in), with buschings needing replacing, slight surface rust here and there ripped drivers seat (which is obviously fairly common) cracked dash and some other minor things which honestly i expected and i definitely rushing into it an…
