Had plans for doing up my ae71 but crashed it so needed a replacement.. :) so now i have an 81 ke70 in fair condition.. not an issue though. started stripping it down and yeah theres what i would call some rust, (others may say alot :P ) well progress so far started stripping the interior apart, and sanding back all the bog and paint for prep. this is how it looked when i picked it up. plans finish off stripping interior. get exterior all fixed and primed. repair/replace rim/s remove engine, g/box entire driveline. weld in chassie supports. Ok, so the project really is in its infancy and to be honest, will probably take a shite load of time to complete, but here goes anyway. Firstly, the most burning question is going to be WHY THE f@ck would i go 3K??? Simple. Cams put a 1.7 capacity factor on for anything super /turbo charged and i wannted something Turbocharged (as one of our company divisions works with turbos) and wanted to run somewhat cheaply, hence i wanted to be in the under 2L class. So backwards configuring, 2000 / 1.7 = 1176cc, so the capacity of the 3k at 1165 is as close to perfect as you could want. Originally the plan was simple 4age, stick 2 1g turbos on it and have some fun till i blew stuff up then start again. Hey guys I was driving home from uni last night in my ke70 with 4k and I noticed my oil light was on and my oil pressure was at zero, as my revs rose I could hear a loud tapping/rattling noise from my engine, and a strong smell, I went to the servo and bought some oil, when I opened my bonnet i could see white smoke puffing out of the breather, and also when i opened the cap there was white smoke coming out, i filled it with oil although it was dripping out from somewhere on the inlet side, ive taken a look and think it might be the head gasket, what else could it be? the coolant looks darkish like a black colour, if it was a head gasket would it be making that loud …

hi all bought a rolla bout a week ago was only going to use it as a daily but that changed pretty quick so now I'm building a budget drift car it kinda has alotta rust in it

finally decided to pull my finger out and get started on the daily ke70. my meantime plans for the ksev. 1. remove boot well (spare tire well) and have it all flat. 2. respray inside the boot. 3. install an alarm and central locking system. 4. install sound system 5. remove carpet (cause its F#@ked) and maybe remove the sound deadening and replace it with stone guard. 6. sand and bog ALL dings and prep body work. 7. prime all bog patches and prepare the whole body for primer, ill probably use acrylic body filler. 8. hopefully along the way through this grueling process can afford quad light conversion ch…

putin the worked 3tc engine in.. its in there.. got a msd electronic ignition and msd blaster 2 coil.. put some low springs in her.. cutting out the rust... just a bit lol. rust cut out and fibreglass put in.. masking up getting ready for paint. put a t18 diff in her.. getting new front guards,bonnet grill and bumpers new front flared guards and faring on.. and bonnet.. ae86 gearbox crossmember new tail lights arived today allmost ready for primer

Howdy i've been into toyota's for a few years now and a while ago i had a '81' KE70 xx i had it for about 6 months and regretably sold it about 2 1/2 years ago to a guy who neglected so bad not even servicing it or washing it!! :) . hey all thought id share my dunga, its my daily driver that ive had about a week, I got it as it has 5 months rego, BC coilovers, s13 lca's etc in the front, & enkei AP's all round, also 5spd, weldy, non standard exhaust, an a dirty dirty 4k that just wont die... After starting my own build for a drift car after it was defected it took me several months to get minimal work done to it, due to education commitments etc first thing i did was research some other builds of what needs to be done, pricing etc usual build stuff. Tested the car at a track already. Car's response is good. Handling is awesome too. New stuffs that had arrived: Fender mirror. Full face helmet. Exterior wise will be all brand new. Hey rollaclub, My Names Josh and i have just recently bought a ke70 :) Its my first car , so i am pretty raped about it . Hopefully My friends have already nicked named it the "Shit mobil" , as the colour of the car :D Once again it was one of those buys off and old laddy who has had it all her life . Had a few ke's before but never a registered one. So taking some parts from my 82 model to fix this APR 84 ive decided to build. Picked this car up from Toowoomba with 225xxxkm's on the clock. Just a little 4k Auto. The interior is just immaculate! I fell in love with it and for $700 I couldn't complain. Log Books and receipts for the last 11 Years. The grandma took good care! Receipts showed she had only done 7000kms in those years and that the car was originally from South Australia. Plans are to get her on the road.
