Just turned up yesterday arvo, gave it a quick wash and cleaned the windows and took some average pics this morning. This one owner 74 KE36 wagon has only done 35,000kms, came from a 96 year old lady in Cairns. Apart from a small paint touch up at the end of the left front guard all the paint is original, trim is great, dash perfect, carpet has faded a little around gear shift, rear bumper has small dent left side and still had the plastic on both front doors until my son thought he would un-rap the door trims for me. Usual plans of a major detail, but this one will remain 100% stock and original. Will post better pics later and will hopefully get it ready for the Al Pal…

This one owner Corona has only done 93,000kms has cold air con and power steering and this is how i bought it, hasn't even been washed yet!. Paint and trim are excellent, no rust and drives great. Will most likely move it on but not after i take it to the Al Palmer show next month.

Hi guys, I've been a member on here for a couple of months but haven't posted pics of my car yet...here they are :) It's a 1983 KE70 CS white wagon. I've mainly just been fixing up the rust, clearing up a few electrical issues, doing little things like replacing wipers, and installing a stereo. No big plans for it- it's done 377000kms, and I'm just looking forward to taking it camping etc. Let me know what you think. Would love feedback. Cheers Mark

hey guys, very new to the whole corolla scene... i went and bought my first corolla 2 weeks ago, a 1982 ke70 in half decent condition  so just thought i would post it up on here to keep track on my progress, and to get some tips and feedback on the project i can't say for sure what exactly i want to do with the car in the futurem whether or not to drift, or daily....all i can say for sure is that i want it to be a nice looking car, that has that jdm look about it. so when i picked the car up it was missing a back seat, roof lining, and carpet however it did have a locked diff...which is a whole new experience for me, having only ever driven front wheel d…

G'day guys, i have had a KE55 project for about a year now, lost intrest and is still sitting in the backyard. Seen a chick driving a KE30 around for a few months and always wanted to ask her about if she'd ever sell it, but couldn't get into contact with her. Then my girlfriend told me that she knew the girl. So my girlfriend gave me the ke30 chicks number, So i messaged her. Looked at the car the next day and bought the car the day after. It has some rust, but i can fix it due to now owning a MIG welder for the past few days :) Bought some sort of Corona alloys for $150 with about 95% tread  Anyway here are some pictures of the old girl. …

G'day! I've been checking out this forum for a long while so thought I had better join and introduce myself!! My name is Michael and I've had my little KE25 for about 14 years now - some of you may know me from TOYMODS or AUSROTARY. It took me around 6 years to get it road worthy the first time - only to have it broken into and stripped for all the good parts. Another 2 years later and more money saw it back on the road with new interior. About 2 years after that, I blew the engine and gearbox at Eastern Creek and the car was off the road again for another year!! New engine and new gearbox was installed only to finally blow the standard diff up!! (surprise surprise…

Ok so I paid for this tonight and it will be getting picked up by my towie by the end of the week!! Originally I was buying it for parts for my brother in laws 20 but after looking at it tonight I might have fallen for it. A few ideas I had for it: 1. Hillclimb/Track Day Special/Drifter/Super Sprinter 2. Mild Street/plus no.1 3. Street Car 4. Cut it in half and turn it into a trailer 5. Summernats Special Convertible Might be too much work to sort out rego to get it back on the road which is why some ideas don't involve rego. When I get it here I will be able to make more of an idea of what to do with it. Some options for engines include: 1. …

Hi guys, Just thought I'd Introduce myself as I have always been trawling through this site and have recently aquired a ke55 sedan. My name is Alex and I live in the modbury area in SA. I am a DIY backyard mechanic and Electronics Technitian/Engineer by trade. My pride and joy is my 1986 AE82 Twincam Corolla. I bought it years ago and slowly fell in love with the beast. The nimble response and go-kart feel has always put a smile on my face when I hop in the car. Especially after driving my missisus honda so called sports car! Anyway, It all started with little things untill the motor blew a rear main seal and my mechanic wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to fix…

Picked up an RA23 today! Seen it for sale outside someones house as i was driving along and i jumped on it right away. This is going to be my daily driver and hence my 929 is for sale. The car is in stunning condition, 100% orginal with the exception of a CD player which will be moved to the glove box, couple of small pin dents and tiny imperfections in the paint but over all the best car (condition wise) i have ever owned. Interior is overrated, no tears anywhere. Standard console cut however. Original 18R-C, which isnt exactly a powerhouse but it runs beautiful. One other interesting note is that this car is fitted with Factory Air Conditioning! Very ver…

I purchased this awesome little car not long ago now. It is a very clean vehicle, it drives really smooth on the road and it is very comfortable. It has a fully rebuilt diff, a well looked after 4K, all rust has been cut out and new plates welded in, and also a full respray, as in door jams, engine bay, boot etc etc. :D Overall I am very happy with the little beast. Since I have had it I have only put the dress rims on and the eyelids. I actually, (quite surprisingly) can't bring myself to modify this car as per the norm. Lowering, exhaust etc etc. Although I think I will lower it a bit but not so much that it will be breaking back low.…

The Story: Bought this today off 'never'. It was a 'must buy' situation as i have been obsessed with this particular little car since i was old enough to walk. This car was owned by my old man's karting buddy for 20 or so years. To say this man was fussy is an understatement and it needs to be seen to be beleived. Anyway after sacrificing a nice KE55 hardtop and clean Commodore daily driver the car was in the garage. The Plan: The motor is in need of a thorough tune as the mixtures, jetting and balance seem to be way out. Not safe or nice to drive at the moment. Hopefully get this sorted first and then move onto the other problems. The brakes require a fa…

Hey I bought the car in great condition about 6 months ago of an old bloke in the blue mountains. since then i have not done anything major to the car yet (apart from getting hit by another car :hmm: ) iv'e just been doing little things to make it look nicer (e.g. lowering the car, respraying the grill, air filter, stereo, sprayed the rims black...) After the crash i bought another ke30 from a wreckers in blacktown, i got the whole car (without engine and box) for $350 so was pretty happy with that. so thats what i have been using for parts (e.g. bonnet, radiator support, grill, front spoiler...) but i don't have a front bummper yet, if anyone is selling one please …

Heys, this is my first post and I would love to share my corolla with everyone on rollaclub :hmm: A bit of history. My dad brought this car brand new in 1987, he brought the car to woo my mom, at the time they were still dating :D. For $10000 not bad at all, base trim came without stereo and speakers, cloth interior and manually cranked windows. My dad even told when I was a little boy, that one day that the car will be mine, and now as part of destiny the car is mine! I've been the driving the car for two years now, when I first received it, there was 122xxx on the cluster, now its 132xxx. The car has been maintained fairly well, regular oil changes and spark plu…

Hi There Folks, My name's Darren from Sheidow Park south of Adelaide. I've just bought this '64 Tiara dubbed Ratiara due to it's slightly less than perfect appearance. She runs really well, interior is very good apart from the top of the back seat which has suffered from 40+ years of sun. Body appears to be super sound with no rust to be seen although the paint has a nice level of character to it. Down sides are the shagged suspension, holey exhaust, lack of brakes, a poorly repaired steering wheel and the stupid amounts of silver frost paint sprayed all over the place! Picked it up from Ararat, Victoria where it was full of rubbish and has been out in the element…

Hey all! I am building a TE38 wagon in the US, working on building a 3RZ turbo. I found rollaclub and curly's KE38 3RZ turbo while looking for information. My build thread on 3TCGarage.com: http://3tcgarage.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=5330 Here's a brief summary of the last few weeks, I bought the car 12/26/09 Here's a few pictures as I bought it from the previous owner. A few more of fitting a Recaro Profi-XL I had it in using factory sliders cut down, to leave some adjustment if anyone else needed to drive it, but the sliders did not move far enough and I lost too much height, had 5"~ under the seat and I was i…

Hi guys, I'm a new owner of a pretty old rolla. It's a 1983 KE70 Corolla wagon CS. Just wondering if there's a site with a little more detail about this car, or if anyone else has one that they've done some work too. I'm basically keeping it as a second car, and am keen to take it on little trips etc, as I see that as the advantage of having a wagon ;) Also, does anyone know what size speakers fit in these cars? Maybe 4 or 6 inch in the front, and the rear speaker holes look pretty big- maybe 6 x 9, but I haven't had a good look. There's currently no speakers or system in the car at all, so I'm keen to buy a little system for it. Let me know what you think. The c…
