Well, I thought I'd spawn a new thread to post this. We are having to work at some bodgie places lately. Here is the latest... This is a 1960's block of units. They bought the block of 6 for $1.5 Million. They ripped out 4 of 6 undercover basement car parks and turned them into 2 more units. (Now totaling 8) They have dug out the front yard and built an area for 5 parks. So that's 2 original basement parks + 5 new ones totaling 7, while there is 8 units?? The upper floors have many many holes punched into the ceiling. One would think that we would need to resheet the whole thing, but no, just patch. Each unit may have upto 10 holes in its ceiling. They remove…

Didn't quite know where to put this. Found these guys on the interwebs, they do bolt on flares for quite a decent price. About 100 Euros (around $AUD130 shipped) No idea of quality but considering lots of places want upwards of $250 for a set it'd probably be worth it for a track car. Located in Poland (I think). Anyone dealt with them before or know of/about them?

I'm temporarily (maybe a month or so) leaving the site as some issues have arisen and i just need some time to sort these out. No more post-whoring and checking out all the sexy rides being built for me for a little. Never-the-less ill be back, hopefully with a ke38 and feeling happier than ever. So enjoy yourselves fellow RollaClubbers. Look forward to seeing you in the future Sam aka ROLLA'BOY

Having a house with several rooms stacked floor to ceiling with books, I ponder that their must be others out there that like a good read. What are you reading? What have you just read? What are you about to read? Where they any good? I've just finish a Charles Stross' "The Jennifer Morgue". Weird, demonological, and overall not a bad read. I would summorise the plot but I still can't work it out myself. Pegged for a re-read. Currently reading Nevil Shute "A town like Alice". An old favourite. I usually read this about once a year. About to read Anthony Burgess "Clockwork Orange". I'm puting off this one until I get over this illness I have. I'…

Youtube, flash games, general chit-chat, whatever. Hopefully hours of things to occupy those big empty stretches through the holidays. I'll start off with this 7 part, 70 minute critique of The phantom menace. Funny even if you haven't watched it.

Hurro! Well, I'm a little excited... I bought the car (which I'm leaning towards calling TAWNY) a present. I got some SFS performance silicone hoses only two pieces as they're bloody expensive! along with some super dooper hose clamps which will polish up really nicely. The best part is, they're RED :jamie: Now all I have to do is put them on :y: will post pics when they're done. Lesley :fuzz:

Thought i would share this with you guys, since I've tested it with a few people and it does make a difference. This handy little program will actually optimise your windows registry (windows 95/98/ME/2000/2003 Server/NT/XP) and configures it to noticably increase the speed of your connection. Click below to download. Speedguide TCP Optimiser Works with dial-up too if you're on a network or if your modem is internal (i think) as you have to select your dial-up adapter from the list. 1. Set the slider to 3000kbps for a 1.5mb and below link, higher for ADSL2 2. select the optimal settings button down the bottom. 3. Hit apply 4. Follow the rest and let…

Just an offtopic post from me. Yay, tomorrow motorkhana! Have sort of been messing around with my website (http://www.fookstar.com) , changed the backend system. Was using WebAPP which was sort of like a content management system, and am now in the process of moving over to Pivot which is like a blogging tool. WebAPP does lots of things, but doesn't do any of them particularly well. Have been messing around with Pivot for about a day now, and am liking it a fair bit so far. Doesn't do as much, but what it does it does very well. Where is Jamie? I tried to call him too, but can't seem to get to him?

Been discussing it with the missus alot lately and decided the time is right. I took her out for dinner friday night, got down on one knee, took her hand and looked into her eyes and told her how much she means to me and popped the question. Got the answer back rather quick and i have burn marks on my hand where the ring was sitting which is now on her hand :) Came home and had Champagne and flowers waiting. Looking to get married in Bali and then coming back home to legit it with the government. I will get better pic of the ring when i can pry it from her hand :)

what is wrong with people in the world these days? we have 3 kids (between 6-7 years old) and wanted a better lifestyle, so we moved from suburbia to out in the country so our kids could frolick in the back yard, without annoying others. now we live on the outskirts of a country town (Laidley) and live on acreage, but it is worse than suburbia ever was.... for example, up the back has 6 dogs which often bark at us and the kids minding our own business in our own backyard. they even come into our yard (through the fence) to provoke our dogs. the yard two over to our left has 3 dogs, and they constantly seem to bark and be at war to the 6 up the back (their yards ad…

Hello everyone. I'm just putting the feelers out to see if there is anybody in the Western districts of Brisbane who is interested in becoming a Cabinetmaker. My business has grown to the point where we would like to hire a young person to train in the ways of our business. If you enjoy working with your hands, have your own transport, and wish to work in a relaxed and friendly envirinment with bosses aged 26 and 23 then shoot me a PM. Our business is located just next to Hattonvale on the Warrego Highway. It takes me 50 minutes one way from Indooroopilly. Its all on the highway with no traffic jams ever due to travelling outbound in the morning, then inb…

this is a msg to the low life dogs that came to my place to buy some parts off me from the for sale section, unless you didn't read the whole for sale post, the brand new camera that you or one of your mates pocketed out from my shed when picking up parts wasn't on the list. its things like this that give the club a bad name and its (_ _ _TS) like you that have taken the trust out of the club. Ive got absolutely no faith that i will get my camera back. so unless you know me and know what stuff ive got i wont be selling parts unless you come around with only 1 other person. :D :| :bash:

Sleeping Beauty, Tom Thumb, and Quasimodo were all talking one day. Sleeping Beauty said, "I believe myself to be the most beautiful girl in the world." Tom Thumb said, "I must be the smallest person in the world." Quasimodo said, "I absolutely have to be the ugliest person in the world." They decided to go to the Guinness Book of World Records to have their claims verified. Sleeping Beauty went first and came out looking deliriously happy. "It's official, I AM the most beautiful girl in the world," Tom Thumb went next and emerged triumphant, "I am officially the smallest person in the world." Sometime later, Quasimodo came out looking conf…

hey guys and gals of rollaclub. i have actually been thinking about this for a while, and thought i might as well put a up a topic for it. would anyone be keen on a campout one weekend? which would include some rally/dirt drifting/bush bashing? my parents own 90 acres just outside of warwick, which is mostly flat paddock except for a few washouts and contour banks. me and my mates have spent our fair share of time flogging cars around the bush out there, i don't think they would mind a few more =) its just a thought, some members on here may have not even had the priveledge to experience this before.

Since 7pm there has been a new Toyota Camry Hybrid idling away in the car park. We don't know who owns it. It is currently 0130am and it's still going. Head lights and driving lights on, A/C on. I checked the car out, it is locked. There is a message on the dash display that say's "key not detected", so I guess it has a proximity key. Why it's still going without the key around is bizzare. I have also called the rental car company who owns it. They said they would send someone around to look at it. Waiting, waiting. So we're taking bets on how long we think it will last. I'm guessing it will run out of fuel first (full tank), but the pistons and bores will be ni…
