Hi, Today after work I popped down to the local super cheap to go through there computers and catalogs to see if I could find an external heater tap for my KE15. The original tap I can't get anymore :P And today at supercheap we couldn't see any heater taps that you can buy or anything :D So I was curious those universal heater taps that people get where can I get one from? A picture is below of the type of valve I mean. It is circled in Pink. Cheers Cameron

I have installed a VN V8 master cylinder into my KE30. I forgot to ask which outlets are for front and rear. Its too late to call now, so is there anyone that can answer this for me, and possibly post a pic. I have to get these brake lines bent into shape and then sent off to have the correct threaded ends on them....preferably tonight or tommorow as the christmas holidays is quickly approaching.

I've got a 5K engine which we have put into a KE10. Looks like we need to get a new head for it now as there is a chunk missing out of it :hmm: What i'm wondering is do we need to get another 5K head for it ? or can a 3K or a 4K head fit on it as well.

Got a remote fuel cap and boot release setup that i've put into my CS ke70. Got the cables run to the back, just wanted to get a picture of how the little mechanism's are supposed to properly hook up to the fuel cap and boot release - don't really need any of the wire, just the actual mechanism! Thanks in advance! :jamie:

Hi all, I need the part number for a 3k bigport manifold gasket (gasket that goes between the manifolds and the head (inlet & exhaust)), I've done a search of the forum and typed in "3k bigport manifold gasket part number" but to no avail, my local parts guy doesn't know what i'm on about, supercheap and repco are just a bunch of F#*&%$!ds, either that or if someone could tell me the exact model of corolla they came out in, Thanks in advance, cheers phatke30!

Hi, Was going to replace my KE15 glove box the other day with a new one I had for it. Went to remove the original KE15 one and noticed this: The elastic mount int eh top. Looks like it has been there since new. Can anyone confirm if it was and if they are original what went there? As my other original box has no elastic in it at all. Cameron

I had 30 thou shaved off my 4k head to raise compression. So i put it all back together today but now there is a really loud tapping that sounds like its coming from the top end its, not valve clearance or the rocker gear because i adjusted the clearances until they almost had no gap at all but it wouldn't go away so i put another rocker gear in and still the same I'm thinking maybe because of the head sitting lower the push rods are on a different angle that makes them noisy but I'm not sure what do you think?

OK Folks, I am building up a 4AC to go in my KE70, Eventually this will become a Rally Car, yes I know its not a 4AGE. (don't get started om this one, the categories I am planning to run do not allow it) So I have managed to get myself some 40mm Dellorto DHLA Sidedraughts to go on the 4AC, I know HKS used to make a set of intake manifolds to suit webber/dellorto carbs. So my question is, does anyone know how to get them, have made a set etc, can lend my diagrams to making my own etc, I have a good engineer helping on this one, however if anyone can lend their advice to me is appreciated and also easier. Also since we are on the same side of the engine, I need extr…

Don't know if this is going to be relevant here so I will post it and you can all let me know. On the weekend I rejetted my carbs on my motorbike and they needed to be sync'ed afterwards. Thanks to the magic of the internet I was able to find a site that told me how to make a homemade manometer (to my surprise it doesn't measure manliness) that measures the vacuum between each carb. Was a bit fiddly but once you got the hang of it really easy. Also saved buying a carb sync tool. All up cost $5 to rig the thing up. Anyway I thought i would post up the link used in case anyone here running twin carbs on their cars would need to do the same thing. http://faq.ninja25…

Gaday, i'm wanting to know what injection manifolds are availiable to fit a 4K. Me and my mate are planning on trying to make a gas injection setup for our rally car, and since his dad is a gas fitter he can do this quite easily but we don't want to make our own manifold, and i'm wondering if maybe a 7k one would bolt onto a 4k head and if it does what cars did they come on. cheers

Hey folks, I pulled apart a 4K nippondenso dizzy tonight to get a good idea of the advance weights etc. I'm going to take a punt at recurving the thing myself. The cam plate has stamped in it 4G. From my reading, it seems a common thing with some dizzy's that you can get different cam plates to change your total advance etc. Does anyone know: - If there are different cam plates available to fit and where would I find the part numbers OR - If this particular dizzy is used on other cars (ie - I might be able to pull apart other ones to get the guts and maybe find new cam plates!!) If someone has similar info for Bosch dizzys then that would also be usef…

Hi all, I currently have a 3K in my KE10, but have a 5K on the way. Can I use the 3K rocker cover on the 5K?? I want to do this because the 3K rocker cover has the old Toyota symbol on it, where as the 5K is blank. Cheers, Ken Edit: Also, the 5K is coming with a 3Spd Auto from a Ke50-70 (not entirely sure what model), will I have to modify the tunnel??

Hey guys, i've got a stock KE30 (3K-C) and i'll be changing the engine over to a 4K soon. When i've got the engine bay clear i want to take out the old rusted brake master cylinder and replace it with a different/stronger one. Is there a brake mc that's cheap/reliable/stronger and easy to fit? How would i go about it? Do i need a kit? What about the actual rotors as well? Is it easy/legal to change the brake rotors to larger ones? Can someone help me out? Keep in mind that i'm not a pro, i'm only learning as i go... Cheers - Josh.

It occurs when staying a constant speed when accelerating it does fine and seems to dissappear any ideas? thanks, matthew

Hey guys, I'm having a weird problem with my 87' corolla and if you could offer some advice that would be great. The corolla runs a 4ac, which due to rough running recently got a carb rebuild. I am now tuning it and the idle was a bit erratic. So I disconnected the EGR system for now and that seems to have fixed the problem. When I went to set the timing the engine revs would jump incredibly when approaching the recommended 5 degrees, even after backing the idle speed, and fast idle speed right off. There is no troubleshooting description of this in the manual and I am quite stumped. :)

Decided to get new Tie rod ends for my KE70 as ill be running XT130 arms and the extra thread would be nice for adjustments. SO got meself some RA40 ends, went to put them on and realised the 70 ones are a single piece end and Tube. Doh! So off the wreckers i go, Found a RA60. took the tubes and ends and proceeded home. This morning i went to fit the RA60 tubes to the RA40 ends to fit to the KE70 Rack...Pheww :DD. BUT. it seems the Tubes from the RA60 are longer by about 3cm. and to top it off the tie rod ends only screw in half way. making the RA60 RA40 combo like and inch and half too long!!. So back off to find something else. Got some KE30 tubes now.. …
