  1. Started by Hoss,

Hi guys, Hoss from Sweden here. I'm having a bit of a concern. I'm the owner of a stock KE70-82 and I'm about to get some new wheels (stud pattern 4/114,3). The rims I been looking at have markings on the outside "5½ J*15 H2-E40" and the markings on the inside are "5" and "86". As far as I understand (and please correct me if I'm wrong) the 5½ stands for the width, 15 stands for the diameter and E40 for the offset. The H2 I don't have clue to what it means... And it's the same with the 5 and the 86. I don't really know the size of the stock rims I have now, but the tires are 145/80/r13. According to my calculations the tires I need to get should have th…

  10. Hi, Is there any difference between KE30, 35, 36, 38 in the suspension front end design? Especially regarding front sway bars. Whiteline list BTF17 (20mm) for sedan and coupe, but a different part BTF6 (16mm) for wagon and van. Incedentally BTF6 is the same as listed for KE2# sedan and coupe. http://www.whiteline.com.au/docs/catalogues/WL_0323.pdf Why do you think they've done this?

I've scored a coupla 32/36 DGVs and first order of business is to give them a cleanup. After removing the holders, the emulsion tubes are refusing to fall out in a willful and wanton display of bad manners. I don't want to go stuffing bits of wire and whatnot down there to encourage them ... I'm sure I'll screw the brass ... any hot hints from rollaclub land? cheers, Slapper

Hello everyone. Just wondering what swaps people have done with putting different seats into their xE7xs'. Ill start us off by saying that with a single rail swap and a flare of one bolt hole the RA40 seat from my parts car bolted in really nicely. The bum was a bit lower than the ae71 seat. Would definitely suit a Person 6 foot 4 or so. A little low for me at 6 feet tall though. Looking for ideas about seats from other cars more so than after market stuff, but please post if there was a particularly elegant install of an after market unit that you did and how. Thanks in advance, Matt.

Well the question as the title says is very easy, i have a KE70 with the stock (ugly) cluster, and i want a tacho in the cluster but here in uruguay, no tacho cluster :) , so let the mods begin one cluster that i have in mind is the AE92 cluster because is easy and cheap to find here. Conectionwise will it be difficult to conect??? how about the speddo read??? BTW i don't know if this goes here

Hey all, a few of my gauges on my dash arent working correctly and i wanna know, is it my dash thats screwed up or dodgey wiring! my fuel gauge is like never working and usually always sits on empty which is really annoying as i dunno when to fill up! and my temp gauge usually sits at the correct temp but every now and then it will jump to over half when i hit 2.5k revs, then when i drop below that it goes back to normal! do i get a new dash as the board on it is f*cked, or do i trace the wiring back! i don't really know where i should be looking for the temp and fuel gauge wiring! as in when it gets to the engine bay help is much appreciated

OK guys I have this shop manual here with a crapload of settings. So over the next few days/weeks I'll be typing out all this info for each particular model. I figure I wont bother with auto transmission settings as they suck and should burn in hell. If theres any car 1970-1990 (early 1990) that you would like the settings for (bar all the corollas because I'm putting them up anyway) please PM me and I'll add it to my list! I'll also have a separate topic for each car for easy searching and finding. Once Ive posted the settings I'll lock the thread to keep it tidy Engine Engine Displacement (cc): Firing Order: Spark Plugs Type: Gap (mm): Compr…

I got a KE20 2-Door Sedan with a 5K engine, webbers, extractors, sports exhaust, possible head work, mags and ts droped on its guts. I plan on doin it up as a tough streter but also want it to run a not to shabby time down the quarter. I'm just after ideas on what would fit in with minimal hassel and are leaning toward a SR20DET from a GTi-R or a 3S-GTE form a late model MR2. As well as goin faster i want it to stop on a dime so some help would be great there and also handle like a go kart as much as possible. Any help would be great as I'm new to the wors od corollas and you all know more than me. thanks a bunch.

  40. Started by demuire,

I'm mucking around with the Selby's adjustable swaybar that I have at the moment, and am trying to figure out which way gets stiffer and which way gets softer... On a normal swaybar, it's simple, the front bushes merely locate the bar (pivot) and the end bits torque the bar, so the further away the ends are from the pivot, the "softer" the bar is... The bar I have attaches to the radius rods. So one set of bushes near the ends, snd one set of bushes near the pivot. Does the same theory apply? That the closer together I put the bushes then the stiffer the bar will be? Or is it the opposite? Does it matter how near the ends I put the bushes?
