Ok, first thing id like to say is i plan for this car to have show potential as well as impressive runner. I also have a completely secret mod. which i will not discuss till after its complete which is my number one priority after the engine conversion. heres my ke50 which ive been doing up for a bit over 10 months now. stripping it down and getting all rust and dents out of it, then prepping it for painting. has a 2T in it and lowered, plenty of kool stuff. This in a story of an classic Rally sprint racer called "Flame". In previous owner it had 16v 4A-G (201hv@engine. DIN), 5speed T50 modified closeratio dogbox, dana30 rear end with 5.38 ratio and lsd, bilstain front shocks and proflex at rear. I had opportunity to participate in one competition event at tarmac. And loved the car so much, that when the previous owner decided to move complete technics in AE86 body, i was forced to buy the rest of it :jamie: In couple weeks i'm going to get the body home. Welcome to my Rolla Project. Brought this car back in December '05 and have had it since. Had a couple of bangs, some motorkhanas, a few cruises in the books but its been my car. Hey Thought I may aswell post my project as I've joined now. Basically I bought this car to learn about the mechanical side of things. Its my first car and I picked her up for $425. It was in good condition but not really atm. Plans - Warm 4k (Rebuild) :angrybird:, Whiteline sways, re-spray, Rt corona brake upgrade, stripped interior, rims, cut all rust out and NO BOG, lower at front, new rims/tyres, weight reduction :D, yeah the list goes on, but thats the notable stuff. Well i've had her for just over a month now. Interierours pretty clean for its age. Few small cracks here and there in interiour. So far myself and mates have concentrated on removing rust and tiding it up a bit when we've got free time. Bit of background on car 1982 (month younger then me) CS ke70. White with blue interiour. Hey guys, well i have been trawling these forums for a long time as they provide a valuable source of info about corolla's , I brought this car in May this year for $500 off a 60yr old lady who had owned it for the last 15yrs, it had the pink slip done (dodgey will get to it later) all it needed was a renewal and insurance cost me $800 all up. So i drove it around for a while (still on L's) and then one day i decided i'd take the wheels off it and clean them, while they were off i thought i'd check the disc pads and shoes. And what a fright i got, it was metal on metal on the front and there was 1mm of shoe left on the rears, and they passed it? dodgy bastards…

Hey guys, I think I posted on this site before, but for some reason I can't seem to dig the old post up to put some more recent photos, nothing much has changed. Anyways here are some recent pictures. Some things I would like to do: The bump strip needs some attention, I either want to take it off all together or move it down along the door line. Because at the moment it is looking really tacky. The motor needs new valve stem seals I think, blows some blue smoke on startup and around town sometimes. You've all seen it before in the other thread but I thought I would post it here so I could update it as the car progresses. For those who don't know, this car was bought for $250 off ebay. It started life as a lowly KE70 S trim povo pack. It was powered by a completly standard 4K in front of a 3 speed auto. Not very exciting at all. Here are some pics of when I bought it. The short version…… Well it all started when the tailgater that had been following us just about all over town pushed Rolln03 just that little bit too hard… One screaming 4k and a lesson to the tailgater taught (smokescreen…well almost) we were left with fried piston rings and a blown head gasket. One week later and after many calls made by Rolln03 a 5k was found at the Maryborough wreckers… the engine cost was $250 and it came with a 5spd gearbox…too good to pass up. My practise car whilst the new one is getting built

I killed my old (worked 3T-c 5sp, LSD... tidy) KE36 by rolling it in the forest. Was a sad, sad day. sob I wanted another KE36... ...and I found another one. Its a bit ratty, but IMPORTANTLY... everything is straight. The 3k Bigport is knackered, and was gonna be replaced by a ?T-g. For now, its getting a kinda-fresh 4K. It'll be daily driver/weekend warrior for uni next year. I am more into Handling and Stopping than BHP. As a result I have learnt HOW to get the most of these cars, and use the small amount of BHP that K engines have... Momentum, braking late, and hurling a KE at corners!! So Project:36 (P:36) is gonna get the best setup possible…

ok i thought i better introduce my self and post up what i have dun 2 my car so far i first found the ke30 in the trading post for $600 we went and checked it out and it looked good bar the most corolla rust spots. we took it hoom and the next day went straight 2 work on it satrted with the diff buying a new 1 cos the old 1 was stufed and was making sum funky noises and then brake pads and a full service and then went on 2 the interiour were the carpet was riped and batterd and the seats were torn so we went out and got new carpet and new seats and sum vinal so we could also do the door trims and then went on 2 the exteriou we sanded it back kut and replaced the rust…

It has a 4k with a upgrade camshaft (unknowen) holley carb with new rings and all tuned up, with a 2.5" system with tuned extractors and a 4" tip :P Very Loud ;) Has new carpet and NOS front seat covers (just wanted blue) witha custom back one made up. Well here is my new project car. To start off i am just fixing the few rust spots in her (have already cut the rust out just gotta weld in new steel u can see it in the pics) and going to colour match it all to the original colour. i'm starting something new,i'm going to create a Sti, now likely in power wise,but in styling. i will hit the junk yards up for a wreaked sti hood and wing. i alrdy have a suppiler for the wheels but to me they don't look to much like Sti wheels, so if anybody can help me with that, i whould apperiate it. not sure if i will custom fit sti lights on the car.... i'll keep posting updates and soon get a digital cam.... oh yeah the car that i will be working on for this project... a 1983 toyota corolla. 4AGE engine swap coming soon... :D

ok guys i no i sed i was geting the xr6 turbo ute but thats on hild cos i dun need 1 now but the corolla is a go a head now i have sum nice plans for it and it will be striped buy xmas . and then resprayed ( not telling what colour just wait and see) and will be droping the 5k i have in it and turboing it and sum suspention upgrades and my seats and sum sterio goodies so i will keep this updated daily as progers is a go ahead. anny 1 know if sum 1 is selling a t28 turbo ?? ok guys will have pics updated asap :jamie:

sorry guys about the last post :D ok well i have decided against the xr6 turbo ute for the fack that I'm 18 and no one will touch me in it lol so i have turned back to the all mighty rolla. ok in the start of december i will be taking all runing gear out of it and every bit of interiour and sending it away 2 be beed blasted . then upon return i shal spending a lot off time seam welding and touching up lil imperfections. the car will be painted in house off colour candy apple green with prismatic witch is like a glitter but better lol . ok i am droping a stock sr20det untill futher funds for modifacations then will be sending the head for sum mino…

Hi guys, I'm only new to rollaclub forums but i hope i can be a valued member to you guys, My project is a KE55 corolla coupe that i am building as a race car, throughout the conversion process i will try to keep you guys as informed and uptodate as possible, my conversion is a slight twist to the norm though, being built as a race car i will be deviating from the conventional a little, so just try to follw my thinking patterns. Attached are some pics (low quality phone pics) of the new engine mounts i have just made for it and a pic of the car in action (at winton with my old 13T pushrod engine). Start, and current pics. Next is full boot install, black carpet, sub and amp I have laying around. Car already has custom black door trims, I need to do the carpet, and fix the cracks in the dash. Then comes paint...I am thinking bright orange maybe...or something else that will stand out :P
