Hey Hey, This is my 5/70 Ke11 SE. The car was sold by Bill McCluskey's River view motors on Coronation Dr, Milton in Brisbane. A lady in Camp hill bought the car on the 22nd of May 1970. The 1000 mile inspection and Pre delivery was done by River view motors and every service after that was done on time at a Shell service station on Cavendish Rd at Coorparoo. I think the original rego was PPJ-859. The car has its warranty book, owners manual, A.M.I Electrocoat booklet, AWA authorised car radio service stations booklet and a diamond dot tape mate instruction booklet. Factory 3K and Toyoglide, Hubcaps and trim rings, Drums all round, Steel bladed fan and a borg …

I'd like to log the progress of my KE20 as it makes its way from a rough old original to a neat streeter. Purchased the vehicle on the 1/8/2010 for $1500. I saw it driving home from the wreckers after buying new seats for my daily. I've been told i'm the third owner. Originally owned by some old biddy, then a younger dude, whom I bought it off. Thanks Tyson and thanks to my brother for not buying it out from under me. The car itself is a 1972 KE20 SE coupe. All original apart from paintand 4k upgrade, but still has 3k components. It drives well apart from the reversed rear leaf springs.... it's low. It's riding on Firestones with 70% tread. The spare is near new…

Hi guys. So, I'm new here and this is my first corolla! YAY! My other half has always been a fan of corollas, I guess it has finally rubbed off on me. I've been driving a daewoo for the last four years, so it's a bit of an upgrade in my opinion. I know nothing about cars, I just know I like the look of this one. My other half has agreed to teach me all about the car so I can start playing around with it myself, but for now I'm just happy to cruise around. My plans thus far: Rust repair New Tyres Polish the hubcaps and trims New weather strips Repaint the tail light surrounds New side mirrors All simple things that i can do without much help... I hope.…

I don’t think I have ever been asked a question so many times when people ask me if I’m going to put a 4AGE or a 3SGE, “why would you put a Hilux donk in an AE71” Good point. So after hours of research and a few helpful words of wisdom I have come to the conclusion that a 3RZ-FE (2.7 ltr, 4cyl) Hilux motor is the one for my old girl. Plans: basically I will be aiming to make a quick, reliable streeter that will occasionally see the odd strip run an maybe a power cruse or two. Backing up to the 3RZ will be a W58 box with strengthened 1st 2nd 3rd so hopefully we don’t have too much stripping, Dog gears would have been nice but after talking to a few people it at vari…

  11. Yesterday i bought my first car. A 1982 KE70 Corolla SE. 211,000 km $2400 (pictures will be posted tomorrow) The cars story: It was bought by a mid aged couple in 1982, between regular drives it has been garaged it's entire life in west Ballina NSW. Has been regularly serviced, and never flogged. Was sold to a 27 year old guy three months ago, he was asking for $2800 for it, but he agreed and sold it to me for $2400 as he needed a 4WD for a new landscaping job. It's in incredible condition for it's age, such a lucky find. Only a small amount of surface rust under the back of the boot seal which just needs clean and a can of rust converter. Paints is only ever…

So they were pretty happy when I said I bought a ke10. This is what i'm working with. -ke20 discs -simmons rims -3k motor I think -95% rust free in my opinion, Only rust in the bolt on panels -Pretty good interior, front seats are shot though. -I think it's been lowered. Hey guys, My name is Connor and this my Ke70 that i picked up a couple of weeks ago, she's a 4k 4sp with 365k-odd kms, so she is slow but it has: - King Springs 'lows' at all 4 corners - xt130 front struts, unknown shocks - xt130 LCAs - xt130 rotors - rt132 twin-piston calipers - Sigma GSR 'Pepperpot' 15x6.5 , wrapped in Pirelli 195/50 rubber So she handles very well for what it is, also i think the pepper pots look retro as. My Plans are: 1: Sort out rear-end grinding noise (wheel bearing kit purchased) 2: Deal with the rust in the boot channel, LR 1/4 panel, fuel filler area and around the tail lights. 3: Fit my just jap fro…

Well this is my completed ke55. I fixed all the rust and done all the body work in about 10 hours. It was pretty bad aswell. The bonnett and front guard were completely fcked so i replaced them with rust free ones. I then painted it with clear over base 2 pack paint, which was sprayed by me in the booth at work. i have replaced the motor with another 4k because my original motor had over 700 000 kms on it and the odometer didnt work lol. My newer motor has 179000 on it so I'm laughing. i picked this car up for $600 with rego and i have probably spent about $1500 on it. it just passed a pink slip yesterday and i am going for rego sometime soon. hey guys. young bloke in town drives (well used to) a 1977 KE35 coupe, which blew a head gasket a few weeks back. i had been asking him about it for a while, and once the gasket blew he called me up and asked me if i wanted it. is $500 too much for it? its a manual running a 3k, paint is almost perfect, and from what i can gather the only spot of rust is just under the fuel cap. what does everyone think? also engine parts arent an issue if i need them, as i have 2 3k's and 2 4k's at my disposal.

  22. Started by Gavclassic,

Just picked this one up from fellow Rollaclub member. Fitted the MA61's while i get the original 13's painted. Car is in well above average condition, rust is limited to the bottom of the guards and a previous repair to the sills. Will be getting it buffed and polished this week and i'm expecting to paint to come up a treat. Interior is amazing, no rips or tares, dash and carpet are perfect and door and window rubbers are great. Mechanically drives well, needs exhaust manifold leak fixed, tune up and a front left wheel bearing but apart from this its a little gem.

I'm going to start a build thread. This will be a ongoing restoration, and modification build. Let's get started. I bought this car 6/30/2010. I gave $400.00 American for it. I drove it a hour and a half home with zero issues. It ha d been sitting a while. Rotten 13'' tires, exhaust leaks, you name it. I had been looking for a Corolla for a while now, and it looks pretty cute next to my Supras. The morning after I bought it, I tore into it. I have 18 Ma61 rims, so I put a nice set on it. I had to roll the fenders, because I pretty much ate the tires off of the first set of rims I put on the back. They didn't look like they were that close to th…
