I'm Krystle, from Sydney, I'm a newie to the rolla club... i know i prob sound a bit blonde (i don't really know nethin about cars) but i need advice! ive got a lil green '80 KE55 2door corolla... i luv it! but its got a rust - at the rear window and above rear tyres rego comes up in da nxt few weeks I'm at uni.. so I'm on a bit of a budget! :lmao: do i spend the money on it and get the rust out and get it re-sprayed (like how much is that?) or do i sell it? i also need a new front bumper, side left panel and a new bit around rear window what shud i do? do u reakcon its worth me fixing it up? HELP! :D

Finally I got around to take some pics. I'm a swedish KE70 owner who bought the car about a month ago. It's so far pretty much stock, but some changes are slowley begining at happen (it's a bit hard to get cool parts here.. :( ). The back side. A new exhaust is on it's way. The front side. Here is my KE25 race car, it competes in the improved production under 1600 class in nsw, I'm currently in the process of repowering it with a 20v engine. Previously it ran a Highly Modified 5K motor, consisting of 5k block and crank, 4age Pistons and rods, 3K Head, Stage 5 Camtech race Cam(3500-7500),Electronic Ignition, 4 into 1 Custom Extractors, Quad Throttle body injection on custom inlet manifild with haltech ECU. hey guys, i thought it was about time i told you all about my car, it is my first road car (i have had a few parts cars and one for khana) its a '79 ke55 hardtop. i have had it for about 12 months and in that time its received a PHAT 2" zorst with one muffler so its reasonably loud, its got ta23 celica struts and brakes so it stops... yay and its also got some 13x6.5 spitfires. The plans for it in the "near" future are a plained bigport 3k head(should be next week and lowering. in the not so neer future (hopefully mid next year) it will be getting a 2tze, the engine will consist of a mildly modifyed 2tc with efi off a 2tg and a sc12 of a 4agze, all this will be trans…

G'day fellas. As alot of you might already know, i've slowly been building up a KE55 Coupe for Junior Sedans for the last 6 months or so. When I started, I didn't realise that there would be so much effort into building the car; I started off with the typical young bloke mentality of it being a simple, quick, overnight task... WOW!! I wish I had known about this forum years ago! Ok, so this is my beast. Its a 1984 4spd 1.3 Ke70. Thats a Corolla btw! :P I bought it about 6 years ago for $500 with 96k on the clock. I'm pretty sure the car sat in someones driveway for most of its life as although the paint was somewhat chalky the interior and general condition of the car where A1. The first thing I did to the car was searching through wreckers for a centre console. Found it, bought it, Sweet. Hub caps were also put on the car. funny how things get out of control some times, i have a ke55 and stumbled onto rollaclub while looking for ideas on things to do to just speed it up a little then i thought SUPERCHARGE 4K!! so i got one then i thought SUPERCHARGE 1600!! so i got one (4a + t50) then i thought better not take car of the road so picked up the ke30 then i thought SUPERCHARGE 1600 TWIN CAM!!! so i picked up a front cut today $900 so starts another project thread, stay tuned for more (and no i can't post a pic yet, i just spent $900 i can't afford a camera this week)

This is for my brother as he is slack. I'm currently rebuilding the engine. This is my old ke70 and the wheels on the car in the pic are not on it anymore as i kept them when i sold it to him, but i don't have any updated pics of the car for now. This is the engine and supercharger set up i built for my brothers mate (KE30) and then he sold it to my brother and it is now fitted to the KE70 This is what i have been doing today. Now this was a rebuilt motor from a company "5 Star" and was the engine out of the KE70 originaly but had a blown head gasket, We stripped the engine to find its not that old, its bored 40 thou and i don't know if thats what a 4K came with …

This used to be my wife's everyday car up until about 7 years ago, she got a company car. Was left under a carport at my parents place. It just needed a battery, fuel and a new fuel pump and off she went. The brakes are partially seized and there's a bit more rust now. Its only done about 92,000 miles, except for the drivers seat most of the interior is good. Planning on tidying her up a bit, overhaul the brakes and sticking it on Historic Registration. She used to fly with the twin SU's, heaps better than the original factory twin carbs.

I've decided to bite the bullet and put the Corolla on the road since I've managed to put yet another ding on the Century and I'm sick of it getting paint chips, scratches, and general trashedupery etc etc. SO while this isn't a project thread per se, I will probably include some before, current and after shots etc, but will also be asking general questions. First one is who has any spare headlight and indicator relays I could borrow to try and determine why the blinkers/hazards/headlights aren't working. Its a 94 Csi with cold air intake (Prob more of a hot air intake ATM) :thumbsup: , Cannon muffler, 5" Tacho, Pioneer HU, Alpine 700w monoblock amp, Clarion 12" 1000w sub 2 ohm in custom Ae-92 hatch box. Thats about it. The sound sys put out 132.7DB at the last USA day in launceston, and came 4th in its class. hey all i bought this ke20 a couple of years ago, a.k.a by the gold coast kids betsey. Anyway shes a 74 ke20 i have recently taken it off the the road due to a rusty chassie rail, when she was on the road i had put a 4k with 5 speed and 2" exaust aswell as a celica radiator not sure what type, it also had platnin plugs and a custom tail shaft ( stuffed to many uni joints on the old one) aswell as some 13*7's dragways i ended up taking them off they were scrubbing out a bit to much and also put the battery in the boot (in box) aswell as the other little stuff like a tacho vacume guage and autotechnica wheel heres some picks of betsey (green car)....................... …

Well i have had this KE30 for about 2 weeks now but have only just made a project topic it has a 4K with a 4 speed gearbox it has run into a bollard we think it has damaged the right front gaurd aswell another incident i think. It is unlicencsened we bought it at auction. Plan is to get it on the road then make it look nice.

This is my ke20. It used to be my wifes car until she got hit by a drunk driver about 14 years ago and said she wanted somehting a bit more substantial. I was driving a v8 commodore at the time so she got that. And her little mustard ke20 was mine. Pulled it apart and did a full body rebuild, replaced the suspension ( kyb gas front and Tokico rear ) and brakes, and converted from a 3k and toyoglide to a mild rebuilt jap import 5k ( full balance, mild cam, HD valve springs with new valves ) and an electronic dizzy. Bought this car off a mate for $1500, Its got a rebuilt 4age motor just put in.. Interior is in pretty good nick... Its gonna be standard for a bit but there was quite a list of things to do on the car... Well, I picked this up a few weeks back for $1900 and only just took pictures of it. It's my first car so I'm hoping to first, learn to drive and get my license of course, then get some experience with driving and working on cars, then get it driftable. As of now it's got an exhaust system with a horrible oval tip I'll be getting rid of, it's got extractors and some king springs. I pick up a webber for it in a week or so too.
