I am after a diff for my 4AGZE KE70. I am using a T-50 gearbox,Standard Rolling Diameter wheels and a speedo (637RPM=1KM). What Diff ratio Is needed to keep my speedo true ????? I originally bought a R31 Pintara Diff and have shortened one side.(4.1:1) A few people I have spoken to have told me that they are not the strongest of diffs. I would prefer to use a Toyota Banjo style diff. From what I have read/Been told....I can use a T series diff. The trouble is getting your hands on a sprinter diff :) Can I use a T series from a RA60 Celica? Will it be to wide for my Rolla? Can Anyone give me data on the Track and Ratios of Toyota Diffs Used In Austral…

Hi all. Firstly, my missus has been complaining that the brake pedal on her 71 sometimes goes almost to the floor then the next time its nice and firm, any ideas?. Secondly, the auto in this thing nearly takes your head off when it changes into second gear. Is this normal? it would be ok if it was worked but it is dead stock. :) Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hey all I am competing in the Supersprint at Mt Panorama on the 1st of december and i wont have my 4age rebuilt in time, so i will be running standard 4ac. So i was wondering can you remove any emissions gear for extra power, and also what can you do to the 4ac to get some cheap power. I'm doing the usual stuff like, service, new plugs/leads and octane booster in the fuel, weight reduction and also removal of dodgy power draining heater gear. But what else can go so i can get more power out of the unopened engine. people are saying carbs and extractors but with the 4age going in soon its really pointless to me. The car is not registered and never will be so any gea…

Ok guys...take it from me don't do an exhaust swap without a car lift or pit. Its friggen hard to get the bitch in there...esp when the pipe is solid from after the manifold to the tip. We ended up cutting the pipe and dad made up a pretty nice bracket to hold it together till we can get our hands on a TIG/MIG welder to put the bitch back together. Zorst came off my recently aquired KE30. Each time I work on the 30 I find more and more rust...at the moment it looks as if the car is going to be pawned of all its goodness and then sent off to the wonderful world of the wreckers/car crusher. Its sad I know...but it lived its life on the gold coast so …

Hey All If you look at a rotory engine, you'll see that there are 2x spark plugs per rotor. I was thinking would you get any more power out of a cylinder engine if you had 2 spark plugs per cylinder insted of 1 per cylinder? Teddy

Ok, i'm at my wits end with the f@$king car.. so here's the deal.. It's not sucking fuel. It's got a BRAND NEW fuel pump, brand new filters x2 (one before fuel pump, one right on fuel tank outlet), brand new rubber joints for fuel line connections, fuel tank PROFESSIONALLY cleaned out. YES it does have fuel in it. Also, the carbie (standard Stromberg) has had a new needle & seat installed and cleaned out. can ANYONE shed any light on my problem before i give up and send it to my mechanic... cheers, matt :D :D

We have bleeded the brakes, changed the dynamo, create mounts for the seats ( the mounts are made of wood and are only temporary till I'll buy someone that fit perfect ) the brake pedal is hard now, but it just won't stop. Well, it stops but it seems the brakes don't brake very well :\ the pictures named will small letters is new, from my new digital camera i bought yesterday.. Pictures and Movies the movies is not in great quality, but what can you expect from a cheap sony cybershot digital camera..

My dad mentioned to me the other day (he flies ultralights and stuff) that most airplanes use rethreaded tyres, apparently there's some "property" about them that makes them favourable to use rather than brand new tyres... He didn't know why though. Is there any truth to this? If so, what is it about them that makes them a more preferred choice? On a sidenote, have just gotten some Hankook Ventus HRII tyres on the Satria, I'm rather surprised - they're pretty good. As good as, if not better, than the original tyres that were on the car (Michelin MXF Sport)... And they don't squeel as much either. They're 205/45R16's.

Hi all, Now that I've finished my engine conversion, I was contemplating what diff I should use. The ol' KE isn't holding up to 100kw at the wheels. What I want to know is, will a T-18 be a direct fit into the KE70 , if not how much custom work would have to be done?? Thanks

As some of you may know, I've been on the lookout for a 4.3:1 ratio for my T-series diff (and an LSD if I can find one cheap enough). Anyway, as far as I know my diff is out of an RA28 Celica (so I'm told anyway), and has a 3.9:1 ratio. Center is broken, missing bits that should be there. I did count the teeth when I first took it out, but have forgotten now, but I think it was a 43/11 ratio (3.909). Anyway, I was speaking to the boys at Option1Garage the other day (they seem to be the only people I can get an LSD or gears from, everybody else seems to talk a lot and not deliver), and they had a Cusco center and ring gear. Ring gear out of a 4.3:1 ratio, 43 tee…

Not long fixed my non working fuel & temperature guage. It was that little 10 volt regulator on the back of the console. Now the fuel guage has gone again. Temp still working. The float had a crack in it and sunk ! Replaced that with a spare I had but it only worked for a week. Now it's reading constantly low. I have had it out last week, and time has taken it's toll on the simple slide resistor arrangement. As I had this problem in a previous KE55 I guess it is quite common at age 25 yrs. As new sender units are as rare as dinosaurs, and even if you could get one would probably cost a kings ransome, I was wondering if others have had this problem and how…

my auto electric skills are more than just a little bit rusty having a problem with the AE71, the coil isn't producing any spark trying replacing it with the same problem so I'm assuming it's in the wiring pre coil rather than stuffing around pulling the loom apart and trying to find the fault I'd like to just re-wire up the new coil independant of the original loom can anyone tell me everything that needs to be wired up to the coil and which terminal it should come from (+) or (-) thanks in advance Dave

Any Thoughts??? ……… Also, after my thorough inspection, the head looks unusually shaped. The best way to describe it would be, its, well, FLAT! Confused???

I recently bought whitey of grimwolge to doner a few parts to my KE55 and a mates KE70. Well what I was wondering was what cam people have had the most success with a 5K. I'lll be running a 32/36 weber and extractors to begin with, using a 4K head, ported by my mate (thanks Mick). I'll be upgrading to a single 45mm DCOE carb at some point too. Whitey has a massive 88 - 42 cam, I don't think the 5K would be too happy about that as a streeter ... or should I wait and see now nice it rumbles. I'll be running 202 Holden H/D valve springs, because these were inteded for a stage 3, 6 cyl cam, should I only use the outer spring? They are bloody hard eh. How much …

Ok so I have got a KE70 Corolla with the stock standard tape player in it, I want to put in a cd player with only the rear speaker wires on the wirring harness to the cd player. What I am after is the tape player wirring diagram if anyone has it because I don't understand which wires to cut because there are 3 different connections to the tape player and only wires to connect for the cd player. Any help would be much appreiciated. If this is in the wrong place I am really sorry, new to the thread, if it is please put it where it is supposed to be if need be. Jay

I'm not a expert on suspension setups so I'll just ask here to hear what you guys have to say to this ke70 2 door: slightly heavyer front because of the 2T-B engine, T50 gearbox and stock rear axle with welded locked diff removed all the sound deadening, carpets etc, that made the car less heavyer 205/50R15 tyres on alloy wheels lowered a bit at the front and alittle bit more at the back I want the car to slightly oversteer instead of understeering like it is now ( yes I know I should remove the locked diff or get a LSD ) the car is a daily driver, but I want to have some fun too :moon: so a fast streeter is the goal for this car.. slightly stiffer shocks b…
