Hi Guys, new to this forum. Thanks for having me. I'm moving from Qld to Syd and will bring across my KE30. Currently on full Qld rego. The car is modified with a 5K motor, K50 gearbox and diff to suit. Everything else standard. It has been engineered in Qld to be registered. However, I will need to do this again in NSW. I would like to register the car under modified historic registration with the club once in NSW. Can anyone tell me what I will need to do to have the car ready for historic rego and estimate of cost involved? Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys, just joined the club and wanted to say hi, not new to Corolla's but it's been a long time - bought a Ke20 brand new back in 1973 (yeah I am that old in body not mind) and raced it for the next few years until I totalled it. Had a pretty hand setup making lots of H.P. great handling and all the rest. That was then. So now I have decided to do it all again - bought a fairly ordinary Ke20 with "good bones" and am starting the resto procress. I already need a front bumper, bonnet, stone tray, urgently so if anyone can help please give me a shout. Yeah the car turned out to be "a bit different" to what I was promised in the add and on the phone and was supposed to com…

Hey all, I very recently acquired a 5k motor and I plan to fit it to my Ke70, I know how to do the engine swap so no questions there Since Currently the 4k in my ke70 is worked (2x 40 DCOE webers, Tighe 104 cam, 2' inch exhaust, 40 thou overbore for ACL pistons, All rotating components have been balanced, lightend flywheel, MSD 6a ignition system w/Blaster 2 coil...etc.) I've had my hand on working 4k's...But I've honestly done a 5k before so in the interest of learning etc. I'd like to know this What mods/specs have people built their 5k's (must be n/a, no forced induction) to, What kind of power output am I looking at (Streetable... like the 4k above)..…

hey everyone, so I've installed a new tacho instruments cluster into my ke70, it had the good'old quartz clock cluster, and everything works, but the fuel gauge, I don't remember if the old one worked (still have in just encase there is part failure), but I've taken out the rear tail-lights cause I'm doing rust repair, and I noticed that the fuel gauge wasn't moving and staying in the off position, when the car is running, all the other things in the cluster work cause Toyota just used a standard wiring loom for all KE70's. so the question is, does the fuel gauge wire run though the tail-lights wiring? not 100% sure. and I can't find a wiring diagram that says anyth…

81 te72. 3tc. Idles great, timing is perfect. Has a no name ebay header, bone stock otherwise. Stumbles or missfires all over the place. Replaced stock smoggy carb with one off of a 85 4ac. As far as i can tell its the exact same carb (other than the fuel line was different, being fwd. Swapped it to mine). Yes its a non rebuilt junkyard carb. Anyhoo, runs ABSOLUTELY no different. So its either the same exact level of crappy as my old one, or theres other issues. Checked for vacuum leaks with starter fluid and found none. Wondering if its the coil/modulator thing? Ive heard they are somewhat problematic. If y'all think thats it, then the next question is thus: the junkya…

Hey so I've recently brought a 1982 ke70, with a 4k in it still. I also brought a set of extractors off ebay. I went to install them only to find that on the intake manifold, there is a little tube that's goes to some sort of filter (I'm assuming that's what it is, laugh if you will) and then continues into The exhaust manifold, so if I install the extractors it doesn't have the little port to connect anymore (unless I make one, which I do not want to do) so can you tell me, do I need this thing? And what exactly is it? What does it do? This is the only photo I could find on the Internet, and it's a terrible angle, so sorry in advance. Thanks. P.s. Ignore the arro…

Drew Edward ThompsonRollaclub.com April 7 at 2:52pm · Kilcoy · I got a question for everyone? Is it true you can put a 4age into a ae71 with no mode plate cause it's a bolt in engine and their is no need for modifications done. And if so does that mean you can put one in and drive it on your red p's. Also some people say it's calassed as a EFI or something, just confused. Craig Tregear The E means EFI (I believe). The C in 4AC is for carburetor (sometimes the C in Toyota engine numbering means Californian emissions). Craig Tregear You just need to be careful about the difference between no modifications requires and production option (as I don't think …

Gday, Ive just joined up after buying a one owner brown Ke70 sedan off an old lady, true story! She wanted the thing gone as she can no longer drive and I felt sorry for her and kind of like the car. Its an 85 i think, brown, auto probably a 4k motor. Its has surprisingly tidy for its age with 2 small spots of rust and is completely original down to the receipt in the glovebox from when she bought it new! Plans at this stage are to throw a set of old style rims on it,( maybe jellybeans, hotwires or minilites) possibly a manual conversion and either warm up the engine or convert to a larger one. Basically i just want to make it a little more fun to drive? Anyway Ive h…

Hello rollaclub I have a question about my 4age 16v conversion. Will a standard KE70 rear axle be enough to handle the abuse of a stock 4age 16v with minor mods? Or do i have to search for a ae86 rear axle? Because in my country they are really rare and super expensive. I'm not planning to use my car for drifting or racing. It will be just a street car. Thanks

I have recently acquired an 82 ke70 cs that is in as near to new condition as you could find. I was after a much older coupe or wagon project and came by this, not being able to resist due to its condition i now have buyers remorse as it isnt what i really wanted. So i was after some opinions as to what it may be worth thinking i might sell it to persue my original ideas. The car is a white 1 owner 64000km always garaged, the blue interior is basically unmarked including the carpet apart from a small tear on the drivers seat around the shoulder area. The body is amazing with two small rust spots on the rear panel where the boot shuts and unfortunately a dent in the passen…

The suspension i can do no my own but the engine conversion i cannot. So what do you guys recommend doing first? Thanks in advance
