hey guys i got given a 1980 KE55 for xmas, needs a little TLC, but I'm already sanding it back to get sprayed in red, then I'm looking at putting all the dash and interior back together (NIGHTMARE) i need some help with wiring on that issue lol... pics will be up when i take some lol...so ill probs be using the search button quite a bit and asking plenty of questions.... thanks guys ill get some more pics up ASAP.. needs a little bit of work as i said but I'm tkaing it slow, doing the exterior first then the interior, then ill decide what to do engine wise...

In January 2007 I purchased my 3rd classic Celica, a CA18DET powered TA22 from Queensland, and had it thrown on a truck and delivered to SA. When I bought the car it had a full interior, fairly clean CA18DET installation, running a T28, 13x7" kidney mags, king springs and a god awful SAAS steering wheel. It made 150RWkW @8000RPM on 10PSi. Hey guyz I'm Kathrynna aka RaLLyKaTTy I from Ballarat. I race with the Ballarat Light Car Club and the car i race with is a Corolla Twin cam 16 4age 1986 hatchback. I love it! It kicks serious ass! I been racing it for about 2 years or more not sure... Dad did stuff to the engine not sure but its for full roll cage everything has been taken out like carpet lining most the dash no back seat and its got electric water pump recently put in... Hi Everyone, was sent a link to the forum from a friend and thought i'd sign up, say hello and post up my ride. Below is where the car stands today..... it appears that the dyno operator backed off since there was a good 20km/h left in 4th and thoughts are it would have cracked 250kw (337HP) maybe 255kw (344HP) @ wheels but because this was in a dyno comp and that was my 2nd run i couldnt get any more runs :) oh well .... its only a figure .... lol i'll post up some pics on how the ride came together at a more sane time of the day. lol Short clip on the dyno - 1 min Full clip on the dyno - 4 min

Ok, the chaos begins, today I parked project Tofu (the new minter) in the backyard, in the next week or so I'll clear up the little bits I feel are needed........ Eg. Front left indicator not working and cracked: new bulb, replace casing/lense. Rear right indicator cracked (still working) will replace lense. Upgrade headlights for a giggle. Bit of a clean up, then daily duties until I finish gathering parts for conversion #1....... :y: Let it be known, this project will take time, it's on a very limited finacial input, but will get there....... Just picked this up for a daily crapper while I rebuild my sedan. My 4th KE70 (first slant front) and my 15th corolla... :lol: $700, 4K, 5speed, Air con, apparently has a new heavy duty clutch. Its red :hmm: Done 338k kms, floats like a boat so new shockers will be on the cards. Motor is nice and quiet, no smoke and goes as a 4K should. Paint is pretty good, rust is easily fixed but needs doing before it rains, pics to come as it gets fixed... One day I decided that I wanted a new Corolla in nice condition. So I picked up the Quokka and saw one for $1800. I knew as soon as I saw it that it was in good condition and came back the next weekend to test drive it. I told the guy that I wouldn't pay $1800 and he dropped straight to $1500 and threw in a CD player... Just arived and hour ago, this was the one on Ebay. Its pretty original and rust free.I just put in a battery and of she went. Needs accelerator cable, so if you've got one i need it! K so my nan bought this T18 brand new in 1979. She died in 1992 and She gave it to my dad. My dad then gave it to my little brother, who basically rally'd it and trashed it. Then the alternator went on it and the battery kept going flat, so my brother just dumped it in the backyard and left it there. So i thought i would pull it out of the grass and start fixing it up. Hey everybody, thought some of you may take interest in my current project. I've fitted a centrepoint injection throttlebody from an EA f@lcon :P to the standard manifold, controlled by a DIY megasquirtII v3 EFI computer. This involved also fitting extra coolant and air intake temperature sensors, a return line to the fuel tank, and a high pressure pump. I also used the ECU to run my shift light and thermo fan, among other things. Having got this working I fitted a wideband oxygen sensor to the exhaust so the ECU can self tune. hi every body really happy i have finally found the car i am going to use as a bit of a project and mabey a daily for a while its a ke55 1980 with a 4k and really good interior the out side is a little rough but nothing to drastic all up it cost me $1000 but with 11 months rego and a few spares so i am happy will post some pics up tomorow it was to dark to take some today i am planning on putting a 32-36 weber on with extractors and a bit of modifying the exhaust also a nice set of 5 spoke rims and just do the body up a bit and mabey lower it down a little just for fun :yes: :P

Thought i would show how i made my work bench this weekend. i wanted a high and narrow work bench to fit on the side of my garage.. so went to bunnings to get some tube steal but they don't have this steal (they've got every thing els:mad: ) so rang my dad who works for a steal place near Tamworth. and asked for.. some square tube steal about 4mm thick 4X 25cm long 4X 100cm long 4X 170cm long came to $38 then borrowed my farther-in-laws ark welder. got new pk of 50 welding rods $15.90. then started welding bits together but 1st hit the part i was going to weld with a wire brush. now I'm a baker not a welder i just picked up a ark welder one da…

Lovely greeny yellow original paint. japanese assembled with all crome trimmings inside and out. Well i have had this AE71 Since january 2006 and not alot has happened with it. It was bought for me to use in motorkhana's and khanacross's. Bought it with a rooted diff and a complete auto ae71 with it for the use of its diff. So in the time i have had them i have...Changed diffs over, stripped the parts car for useful pieces and sent it off to rolla heaven, Stripped un needed interior bits out of it to make it uber lightweight, sound deadener removed. hey I sold my old ke70 because I didn't like the colour so I replaced it with a white one its a 82 ke70 auto, brought it from a guy that just got back from overseas it hadn't been started for 6months (put some fuel in it kicked over first time) and it was living under a tree :hmm: so far I have gave it a bit of a clean still needs a really good clean haven't even got to the interior yet. fixed some rust still got to fix some around the filler cap and the quarter panel. 1980 KE55S XX Corolla Coupe 4K-C (1300cc) 4 Speed manual Stock except for the 14x7.5, 0 offset rims and now with fender mirrors, black crystal headlights and front lip... it is going in next week to get the corona front strut conversion modified as coilovers and reset and an extra leaf in the rear and sway bars all round which should tighten it up and bring it down to earth... at the moment the suspension is shagged, and the breakes aren't much better.... once that stuff is sorted it will be time to move onto the engine.... oh and some watanabes are currently in transit...
