Hi Everyone, Here is a bit of an introduction to my new wagon. It's a 82 KE70, which I've had for about 4 or 5 months and have cherished the shoit out of it (except for that damn clutch cable!). It has 330,000km on it and it still drives fantastic. Everything on it is standard, which I like, since I have a blank canvas to build my own daily to how I'd like it. The previous owner said that it had been resprayed some time in it's history, which looks to be true as the paint (however a little sensitive to scratching) is very presentable. The interior is original and a little bit grubby, but will clean up great when I get around to it. I really like the dark blue interior…

Hey guys, Recently bought myself a 82' Flat front ke70. Bought it off "old fella" on here. I had been looking for a few months before i found one i was keen to buy. It has a rebuilt engine, with a 25/65 cam, new exhaust etc. Was by far the best ke i came across in my price range. I wont be going all out on this car as i have a 78 XC falcon that takes up the majority of my spare time and a 77 120Y datto that takes up the rest. At the moment the plans for the old girl are- Lower it- using pedders low springs and pedders short travel shocks. Paint it- This wont come for a while as i need to get the Xc and datto out of the garage to get the keto in to paint it. …

hey, just wanted to get some opinion on what you think of it and what i should do to it. here it is, its my first car and I'm still 3 months of my L's, i don't wanna do anything stupid to it, i want to keep it a head turner for the right reasons give it a lower and some non overeactant rims on it to get it out of the granny spec range. (not the best of pics but it has no scratch, dints or rust)

Hey everyone, So it appears I've been a member since 2010, I must've signed up and never done any more haha. My mates have all had Corolla's (more then what I can count of two hands), and after selling my ridiculous idea of a street car S13, I spent some dosh on other bits n bobs and found myself a 'daily'. Cheap, reliable, functionable. She's a 1984 AE71 Wagon. Manual, 270,000 km's. Noticed it had bigger rear drums and a filler/drain plug in the diff, and the driveshaft appears to be welded/customized, which my mates reckon means its from an ADM AE86 ('F' series?). The inspiration for my wagon: (There's many more sedans, and one pano, haha) And …

MY-GIRL: Holden Nova 1990 AE92 Sedan 4A-FC... Hey guys its been a while. So i'll get on with it. I ended up losing my license for 1 yr. and had to do 100 Hours of Community Service. As well as Deregister my girl and get it back to my mums, out in the country Hours away from my place to Keep her. I've only recently got my license back... and picked my girl up. All she needed was a new battery and she came back to live on the 2nd-3rd turn, after a whole Yr under the house. Then 4 new 2nd Hand Tyres I had lying around back at home. and she passed the RWC 1st go. Then my 1st drive with her again was the few hour cruise back to Brissy. Anyway... So next week I …

Hey guys Thanks to the ebay posts in here I discovered this little gem and picked her up yesterday. A little bit of drama in all that but its home now! I am looking forward to tidying it up and then getting out and doing some club racing - hill climbs, super sprints and the Winton 6 hour. Hey my names Nick been a lurch on the forum for quite a while and not too long ago purchased my first rolla. After a lot of looking around and waiting I found a nice standard and immaculate 86 sprinter for sale which I put a deposit down on only to get screwed by the seller. After a little more looking around and waiting I found a nice, loud and sacked ke70 which I instantly fell in love with. The owner offered me a price for it that I couldn’t resist so I jumped on it and it’s now parked in the driveway currently undergoing maintenance for a RWC.. It’s in desperate need of a tune as travelling only 30km sees the fuel gauge read a third of a tank lower and it’s fouling up…

Hey, picked this little beauty up earlier in the week. It's a yellow, 1980, ke55 cs coupe, auto. Not too bad condition. Has some rust spots and dents. Interior is quite good apart from dash top, most things work. The heater works! The 4k runs well and goes alright considering it's auto. Plans are to clean it up, put it on historic rego and then later I will think about a manual conversion and other mods. But for now I'm just cruising around in it and doing a few repairs. I have got some touch up paint already and have done a few little repairs. I shaved the rear corolla badge, welded holes up and gave it some paint and also under the fuel cap I did a small rust repair. P…

Didn't know where to post this one but it does have one of my rides in it. Just came back from a road trip to Phillip Island with some freinds in a KE17 SL Sprinter, MX23 MK2 Corona and my RT72 Corona 1900 SL, we all went down to watch the historic motor racing. Our first day was Sydney to Beechworth, then to St Kilda for two nights then of to the Island for three nights. From there it was back to Cooma to visit Flynn's Wreckers then back home. We all had a great time with no major probs, we travelled about 2400kms on our trip and the old RT72 averaged about 7.5 lts per 100kms for the whole trip. That was with 2 adults one child and a boot chocked with luggage. The KE1…

Hey all, Figured I'd start a topic on RC about my schools personal project for year 10. My father, brother and I are currently commencing the conversion of our 4k, ke20 2-door corolla, A.k.a, RKE 020, from a 40mm delorto carb to EFI. When it started life it was a bamboo coloured 3k 2-door ke20 with a 2 speed auto box.A 4k was then put in it and also a 5 speed manual box keeping the existing diff gearing. The 4k was by no means stock, we built it with a lumpy camshaft with 109 degrees lobe separation. Double valve springs were also added so that the valves would work properly with the extra lift of the cam. Next step was a single 40mm Delorto carburettor for better…

Hey guys, My Project Plan: My plan is to rebuild a Toyota Corolla Ke17 Sprinter which has been my dads for many years and has been sitting around unused since 1996, From what i can gather it had a 4k in the end which had a big cam i think and dad said it went ok. Anyway my plan is to get the car and do a full rebuild from ground up, ill put a 3k or 4k(which we have under the bench and has a big cam :laff:) then make the engine a uprite version which will be a bit of work but will be worth it in the end, set of twin 40mm webbers, twin throttle linkage, t50 gearbox modified to suite uprite engine, um not sure on front end yet but prob rosebud joint the front end, may…

Hey, my name is Adrian, I'm a mechanic from Melton and I like KE70's lol. At the moment it's a stock 4k with a straight through exhaust to massive chrome cannon LOL, it's also a 5 speed. I've procured a 1JZ and I'm sourcing a gt35 to start off with and we'll see where I go from there. (I don't want to use the twins setup.) Also got a bunch of S13 suspension bits to go in the front of it. I'll be hunting around 300rwkw's and a reasonably stock looking car, wheels and ride height are all I want to change. I'll post some pics up tomorrow, it's nothing special at the moment but I'm about to change that!

hi everyone, my names Luke, i'm a 1st year apprentice chef so money is tight. my slanty set me back $250 and its my baby :) She had rust spots above both rear lights and in the rear guards. the interior is straight and free of rips but rather stained in places. all the electrics work apart from what i can only hop is a faulty fuse for my dash lights. so far i have fixed the rust in the boot with tac welds and fiber glass putty (money is real tight). i haven't bothered with the guards just yet. all in good time though. the dream is to keep some elements as stock as possible such as tint bumpers lights ect. but being young and it my first car it has to be slammed with he…
