I got this ke70 from brisbane about 2 weeks ago.. and plan to do a bit to it.. so i thought i would do a build thread first off, its a 1983 model ke70 with a 5k & 5 speed conversion Gt shocks weber carby extractors 2 1/4" exhaust first off, driving it home from brisbane the throttle return spring snapped, so i put a zip tie to hold it in place till i got home also, on the drive home.. no matter how loud i turned the radio, i just couldnt hear it so i went out and got some new 6x9 speakers also

I sold my old KE55 in search for one in a bit better condition. I found this one, out of the blue and strangely enough, same colour - almost same everything! Sitting on a backstreet in Stanhope Gardens in Sydney was this 1981 KE55 SE, I had nearly given up hope finding another one for a sensible price. Hey guys, Just thought I'd share my pride and joy with you! I bought this KE70 from a bloke through Ebay in Sunbury. It was one of the straightest KE70's I had seen, so I HAD to have it! I paid $1500, it was a bit pricey but I don't regret it in the slightest. It's beige in colour with 2 thin brown and orange stripes up the sides of the car. It's running a 4k completely stock 4 speed manual. I just recently got a full sports exhaust fitted just this weekend, extractors and 2" whole way through, sounds HEAPS better then what it did. Hey everyone just got this corolla Wagon for $500. I reckon its pretty good, nice body, and it goes good. I am putting a set of wheels on it with some sticky yokohama advans. Will also be doing a custom twin front shock set up which works awesome, and it should go around like its on rails. also will be lowering the front and rear so it looks good but still steers well As for the engine probaly will build up a 4k, or put a 18RG with twin carbys on it. but fuel isn't getting cheaper.

I have been here a while and thought It was time I showed a few pictures of my car and what type of driving it sees. the car is a dark blue KE70 flat front and has been owned by nearly everyone. I used to get about in a 3TGTE powered (and then 4AGTE) TE72 way back when, which I busted up when the tailshaft snapped at speed. I saved the driveline out of the car, and went in search of an AE71 panelvan, specifically because it was significantly lighter than the sedan, and didn't have to worry about a back seat for the eventual plans to fit a rollcage. Specs are- 1983 Flat Front Ke70 Standard 4k motor 4spd Golf Ball JDM gear knob :P Fairly straight body with a fair bit of rust. Its pretty stock standard but didnt expect much for 500 bucks. My intentions are to make it look a little more JDM and turn it into a street/track car. Back again with another Ke1x Corolla... this time, its a Wagon! The game plan... overrated interior and bay, Ghetto body. Motor wise it will cop a 4k/5k depending on how easy I can get a 5k :glare: It had an RX3 LSD diff in it, but thats gone. Standard diff went into it tonight.
