hey guys just bought my first rolla its a KE38 wagon, 5spd, factory aircon, 180,000Ks. its in ooook condition apart from pretty bad rust above the doors and a grinding diff!! was wondering how much is a second hand diff for a ke38 is? have been looking into welding it.. but if diffs aren't too much might weld this one and buy another open center. will upload more pics when i get time

Hi Guys, thought I'd finally get around to posting some pics of my KE18. Yes, this wagon used to belong to Gavclassic, I bought it off him about a year or so ago and the car now lives with me in Toowoomba. There was some rust in the roof that I needed to fix, so I thought that if I was going to have to repaint the roof I might as well add a little spice while I was at it. Recently sold my car trailer and have replaced it with this 1981 model Toyoace truck. Its only done 97,000, no rust and a very healthy 5R 2.0 motor. I'm going to make a new back for it with some ramps and an electric winch to pull the car on. Will be purpose built for KE Corollas. Looking for some original hubcaps and some other little bits so if you know where one is let me know!

I know almost nothing to do with corolla's. But this little fellow popped up at an acceptable price, and being rwd i just couldnt resist Was resprayed by previous owner 3months ago, new clutch, 4spd manual, i think 1.3L engine? with extractors Apparently it has coupe taillights, and ive checked over the car several times, it appears to be 100% RUST FREE. I've had this KE70 for about 2 months and so far and I've only done a few minor cosmetic mods. De-stickered, old steering wheel I had, pool ball shift knob, monster tacho mounted dodgily in dash, seat covers & aluminum exhaust tip. The original tip was about 3" long after the muffler and the new one is about 7". It's just siliconed on for a bit of bling bling but it it actually made the exhaust a lot quieter. Current specs are: 4K engine with a cam of unknown specs. Well its almost finished, my ke20 project. I used to own this car years ago, I sanded it back to factory undercoat and sold it to a panelbeater. Then I sold him a ZE. Now I have it back. Hey all! I picked up a really decent RT40 corona last week... Haven't cleaned it yet but check it out! The trusty 2R and toyoglide have travelled just 38000 miles from new, it has no rust at all, amazing chrome (no dents whatsoever), very very good trim, door trims and seats are in great nick, carpet is good except a little worn where your spare foot sits, dash and steering wheel are fantastic, dash pad has a crack though, body is very straight, just has small dent on the top of the LH rear quarter (1/3 of the size of an egg) and unfortunately has a bit of a scrape on the LH side also (damn old people), it has the original service book and owners manual still in plastic …

This is for my brother as he is slack. I'm currently rebuilding the engine. This is my old ke70 and the wheels on the car in the pic are not on it anymore as i kept them when i sold it to him, but i don't have any updated pics of the car for now. This is the engine and supercharger set up i built for my brothers mate (KE30) and then he sold it to my brother and it is now fitted to the KE70 This is what i have been doing today. Meet Joansy. Owned by the same family since 1974. Saw a post by another member in the spotted thread. There was a link to the trading post. We called. Got to the owner's house by about 8:45pm and took Joansy for a short drive up to the servo so that we could check her over under the lights. She hasn't been modified in any way but the family weren't enthusiasts so though she's been well loved, any little repairs haven't been done the way a meticulous collector might do. Nothing major. I've put in, *Crossmember *My quadlights *Flared rear guards ( for the Center-lines ) *Rear Suspenshon *Made my Front Coilovers *fitted Deep dish Steering wheel *Fitted my fix back seats *Fix most the RUST! hey all this is my new project got this rolla given to me I'm taking the 4k out and putting a rb30 in (like big engines in small cars) its a factory standard engine with extractors and 1m side pipe. planning to do more work to the engine want to get 10s out of it i'll keep posting as i work on it

A 1st gen wagon has been something i've dreamed of since i can ever remember.. And the thought of one being so close to me for so long... I had to have it. It was rough... The car had sat in a long grass paddock since early 1990's.. And it showed. Every panel dented, rusted.. Hyper extended door, rat piss interior "Ran when parked"... I had to save it. man I'm so happy to get another rolla again $400 yeah its a KE70 with a 4 speed and a 4k engine, but i will be swapping the ke55 5 speed gearbox and loads of other stuff like timing chain, cam, carby, wheels, list goes on hopefully it will be pretty cool. i hope front wheel bearings arn't hard to fix il have photos up soon... when its delivered man building cars on centerlink pay is a bastard
