Hey all I'm just new to this site but i just wanna show yas a few pix of my rolla. Previously i bought a blue KE55 for $650 with 12mths reg and 4 brand new tires. This car ended up gettin a bit battered so i decided to find myself another 55. I came across this yellow one for $200 but the head gasket was gone and it was auto :cool: I transferred the engine and box over, doing the manual conversion in my driveway hehe i couldnt pass it up tho cos it was pretty clean. Ok first things first i had to get rid of those ugly bumpers and put KE30 full chromies on hehe. ($20 each) I also bought brand new headlights and sprayed the rims gloss black. Afew touch ups…

Hi, I just joined up and am looking for insiration to finish my ke20 as well as other people that have done simialr things. In breif, I am using a 4AGE bottem end(crank,rods,pistons) in a 5k block with holden V6 roller lifters, roller cam(obviously), 3k big port head(extensivly ported and modified combustion chamber), Hawk EC21 ECU and SC12 supercharger. I have gotten caught up with 355 holdens and need to get motivated to finish this project as the engine itself is ready to assemble. All I need to do is make up the brackets for the blower and finish the inlet manifold. I will post some pics up very soon. Cheers, Matt

Hey guys, I'm new to these boards and i thought i'd say hello to you all. Many of you guys hav been an inspiration and are the reason i have this rolla for my first car :lolcry: . Hope to get to know some of you. anyhow take a look at my profile and tell me what you think (click on "bundy_rolla' at bottom of post). The car has been resprayed recently ;) For some reason the site won't let me update my profile so i can't tell you other interesting things about my rolla. Its nothing real special atm, all stock except for a 5speed that i took out of a KE70. the Colour i painted it is 'Mercury Silver' (BA falcon) has lots of matalic in it, looks real nice in full sun :)

Well I have decided to put my 5k motor into the ke20. But first things first, I have taken it down to get reconditioned. I'm getting it bored out and fitted with flat top pistons if available seeing that the 5k motors came with scalloped out pistons because the combustion chamber is in the piston rather then the head, so this will up the compression. Also i'm getting a mild cam put in it and getting it ported and polished and bigger valves if possible. The guy said the motor will be ready to pick up by the end of the month. This is my KE 11 4 Door which i've had stored for over 2 years. Just a new battery and of she went. Carby needs a overhaul and the front seal in the box is leaking, other than that everything else seems fine. This car is a 1970 model, 1200 3K, 2 speed Toyoglide, factory tinted glass, front discs, stainless roof gutter trim, fully reclinable front seats ( same as KE 15/17's ) and a small rubber trim that goes around the headlight surounds which i've never seen on any other KE1# series Corolla. i have my self a AE71 panel van and am starting on my qest to do it up. i have come to a problem as i am a motor mechanic and have no idea what to do as far as panel work gos. i started to strip down the car so i could see just how much rust there was and to my suprise there is a f@#k load lots that need to be plated :dance: is there anyone out there in the sydney 2233 area that does this kind of work on the side, as every day i look at it the project just seems to be too far away from a result. i have through about a new shell but AE71 panel vans are just too hard to find and thats y this one needs to be repaired. open too any advice. or if any …

bought this KE30 for $700 about 3 weeks ago. Since then ive replaced the front bumper with a straighter one. Got new balljoints in front, new rear wheel bearings, and a wheel alignment. Replaced the big truck wheel with a not so big one. put in crack free lights, with perfect chrome trimming. Put chrome triming off a KE55 along the window bits. Took the but ugly seat covers off and left standard seats how are. Plan on lowering it 1 1/2 inches, better seats in front, swap out 3k for a 4 or 5k, bigger exhaust, CD player, and a boot install. here is pics as it sits now, sorry for shit pics, camera not working so had to use phone.

A friend of mine just sold his hot little KE25 to someone in Tassie. It went on the boat last Saturday. Its an immaculate little car running a hot 4K with twin webbers, 5 speed box and 15" Superlite Alloys. Those in Tassie won't miss it!

Hey my dad and i got a 1980 ke55 corolla 2 door coupe that we are doing up for my firts car. the car is a work in project the 4k motor has been redone and looks pretty good, i have bought the rims for it, the interior still has some work and the paint is still to be done. heres some pics.

I've been meaning to put this up for months (since Australia Day) I had a BBQ at mine for Aus Day/JJJ hottest 100. Imagine; Snags, nice sunny day, 14m water slide and some cold drinks straight from a ke70 Rolla Esky! I started with a wreck I got for nix a few years back, cut it in half... I then Grabbed a diff from a ke30 and welded it directly to the Chassis rails, got rid of the bump stops, no need for them. Painted it in Australian colours (can job + 20mins = dodgey job) but on strict time schedule. Filled it out with 140mm thick Industrial insulation used in cool rooms, and a Stainless steel floor. thought i would start a topic on my 2 daily drivers and what i have been doing to them. not so much a project thread but more like an ongoing maintenance log type thing. i bought another 28/36 DCD weber on ebay last week. i got it yesterday, rebuilt it and now it is on the warm 5k in my ke15 to replace the worn out one that i was running. this carb came off a 1500GT Mk1 cortina. the last DCD was from a fiat 1500 cabriolet i think. anyway the thing runs better than it has for a long time. just running the factory 1500GT cortina jetting so far. it is amazing how much throttle spindle wear stuffs with the way your car runs. last week i changed the diff i…

81 ke70 5 speed, plans, coil overs front, chopped falcons and sierra shocks rear. 4agze, t50. welded diff. and drive it. if anyone has any parts such as cross memebers, motors or anything and live on or near the sunshine coast ill snap them up. ill try to keep everyone updated on the progress, so far ive got it registered and mod plated for the 2 seats sprayed the boot black lowered the back and will do the front tomorrow. found a pair of bucket seats for it (bride) bought a boss for an oldschool steerer i got off rollaandy put some nice wheels on it from andy.

Well, I picked this up a few weeks back for $1900 and only just took pictures of it. It's my first car so I'm hoping to first, learn to drive and get my license of course, then get some experience with driving and working on cars, then get it driftable. As of now it's got an exhaust system with a horrible oval tip I'll be getting rid of, it's got extractors and some king springs. I pick up a webber for it in a week or so too. It's got some 'Champion' mags or something on it, they'll be going when I find something better but it's not urgent right now. Never realised it had such a small engine and right now it doesn't idle. Everybody has their own method to the madness when it comes to having fun. Some people like to spend time with friends, while others enjoy hanging out at the beach. Then, of course, there are the couch potatoes that like to sit in front of the tube. My idea of fun involves anything to do with cars. A perfect weekend would be doing up my drift car with available resources I can get or what I can think of. Bought this car off a mate for $1500, Its got a rebuilt 4age motor just put in.. Interior is in pretty good nick... Its gonna be standard for a bit but there was quite a list of things to do on the car... This is my ke20. It used to be my wifes car until she got hit by a drunk driver about 14 years ago and said she wanted somehting a bit more substantial. I was driving a v8 commodore at the time so she got that. And her little mustard ke20 was mine. Well i have had this KE30 for about 2 weeks now but have only just made a project topic it has a 4K with a 4 speed gearbox it has run into a bollard we think it has damaged the right front gaurd aswell another incident i think. It is unlicencsened we bought it at auction. Plan is to get it on the road then make it look nice.

hey all i bought this ke20 a couple of years ago, a.k.a by the gold coast kids betsey. Anyway shes a 74 ke20 i have recently taken it off the the road due to a rusty chassie rail, when she was on the road i had put a 4k with 5 speed and 2" exaust aswell as a celica radiator not sure what type, it also had platnin plugs and a custom tail shaft ( stuffed to many uni joints on the old one) aswell as some 13*7's dragways i ended up taking them off they were scrubbing out a bit to much and also put the battery in the boot (in box) aswell as the other little stuff like a tacho vacume guage and autotechnica wheel heres some picks of betsey (green car)....................... …

hey, I'm Matt. just thought i'd post up my rolla. Its a 94 Csi with cold air intake (Prob more of a hot air intake ATM) :thumbsup: , Cannon muffler, 5" Tacho, Pioneer HU, Alpine 700w monoblock amp, Clarion 12" 1000w sub 2 ohm in custom Ae-92 hatch box. Thats about it. The sound sys put out 132.7DB at the last USA day in launceston, and came 4th in its class. I broke a voice coil in my pioneer 12" 1000w 2ohm later that week, so now i have the clarion that i havn't had DB tested yet. hey all, just thought id start putting up info and pics on my project T-18 as i go along. the plans are to put in a fresh 3TGTE twin cam turbo just rebuilt, using a CT26 turbo, 450X300intercooler, and other neccesary mods inc 3inch exhaust, suspension upgrade etc, new wheels, a respray in blueprint blue, and some new wheels and interior revamp. when i first got it parked next to my mates mazda cap which now runs a 13BT. i brought the car with a stock 3T-C the 13X7 westerns on it as my first car when i was 17 and drove it around like that for a year or so. all i have done is chops the springs put a new steerer on it and give it a tidy up and ser…

I've decided to bite the bullet and put the Corolla on the road since I've managed to put yet another ding on the Century and I'm sick of it getting paint chips, scratches, and general trashedupery etc etc. SO while this isn't a project thread per se, I will probably include some before, current and after shots etc, but will also be asking general questions. First one is who has any spare headlight and indicator relays I could borrow to try and determine why the blinkers/hazards/headlights aren't working. This used to be my wife's everyday car up until about 7 years ago, she got a company car. Was left under a carport at my parents place. It just needed a battery, fuel and a new fuel pump and off she went. The brakes are partially seized and there's a bit more rust now. Its only done about 92,000 miles, except for the drivers seat most of the interior is good. Planning on tidying her up a bit, overhaul the brakes and sticking it on Historic Registration. She used to fly with the twin SU's, heaps better than the original factory twin carbs.
