Well pretty much bought my car back... long story short i smashed the front end (ran up the ass of some one). The front end had been fixed, extractors, a newer model corolla steering wheel... and a bride seat had been installed. When I bought it back it had been stripped and had no exhaust (only extractors) it had no rego either.. He also said he had just fixed the head gasket but that was not the case cause it was still ʞ©$ɟed so I fixed that, got it skimmed, also it didn't idle so took it to work and fixed that, I stripped the interior and sprayed it black, made it neater. It had a sticker guard to so I left that, adds a little bit of character :) The plan is to ke…

Looks like I'll have to tread the family car route in a few years then, maybe something like a Chaser for the practicality as well as the speed, can't let her out-do me can I? Anyway, I digress....... Hey, my name is Adrian, I'm a mechanic from Melton and I like KE70's lol. At the moment it's a stock 4k with a straight through exhaust to massive chrome cannon LOL, it's also a 5 speed. I've procured a 1JZ and I'm sourcing a gt35 to start off with and we'll see where I go from there. (I don't want to use the twins setup.) Also got a bunch of S13 suspension bits to go in the front of it. I'll be hunting around 300rwkw's and a reasonably stock looking car, wheels and ride height are all I want to change. I'll post some pics up tomorrow, it's nothing special at the moment but I'm about to change that!

Ladies and Gentlemen... I bought this potential beast up for $300 and it drives, it has a 5 speed in it and it is the same build year as my birth year! (1981) Needless to say I can't wait to start on it. It's a KE55 Corolla CS It has a couple of rust spots on replaceable parts... but my main work is on the rear windscreen. It has rust spots in the bottom corners, which is common on the Corollas, as are underneath the taillights. But that's nothing the angle grinder and a can of bog won't fix  The body is pretty much straight. It's a 4K-C motor (but not for long!). I know it ain't the cleanest example but hey, what $300 buy is these days? I'll t…

I bought this coupe AE70 in November 2007 for just over a grand. I have put a couple of pics up, keep in mind these are very old pics that I took in November '07 when I bought the car, and its not what it looks like at the moment. I'll get some fresh pics up soon. I actually have two of these, One of them ive been using as the donor car, which I have pinched a couple of panels and interior bits and peices from. It sat in the garage for about 8 months after I bought it (not running) So I started to get serious about it in July and I've slowly been working away at the panels since then. It's getting painted satin black, going for an old school rat rod sort …

  19. Well long story short. I was driving around in my QNC21 Toyota bB import and decided I want to get back into a KE corolla. So I found a KE11 rusted to hell and back in a back yard cheap. Bought it restored it (well cut out rust) drove it daily loved it. But decided I want something a tad newer for the daily since I had a KE15 sprinter and not a corolla. Well I went looking for something A) Cheap, B) Fairly easy on the service and reliable C)Bland D) didn't care what it was. So I started looking around Camry, i20, subis anything.....Till I stumbled upon THIS car. It is a 2005 Toyota Sportivo with 160,000km on it. Factory serviced till 120,000Km and smelt like a really …

Seeing as this forum seems to have the highest concentration of KE10s on the internet, I figure I should throw mine in for good measure! The story starts when I drag this KE10 from the bushes in my hometown, paying about $200 to get it to my house. My initial observations: The car has been hit in the front and back with a lot of flaking bondo as evidence. The entire interior is halfway converted to dirt. Not a single mechanical or electrical component is working or even looks serviceable. The only upside is that the shell is structurally solid if not straight, and it has some extremely awesome patina. To the parts pile! My initial plan was to leave it stock an…

Had a few mods done to it but its journey came to an end a week after i got my P’s. Yeah, the Macca’s hedge was not as welcoming as first thought, if i could have only spun 5 metres more so it was the driveway, but maybe not. Had a nice 3k in it that seemed absolutely unbreakable.
