is anyone elses car the same as mine, my 1972 ke20 had the id plate on upside down and so does my 1971 car but the 1974 one and the 1973 cars have them up the right way, is anybody elses car the same??? also my 1971 car has drums on the front but unlike the ke10 drums these are twin leading shoe ones so they have two wheel cylinders instead of just one also does anyone have a borg warner diff in their ke20??? my 1971 car has little pull down handles under the dash to open the airvents on the dash, it also has one of those grills with the small squares and the lines on the fuel door go across instead of up and down

So I want to use the one off my 3K will it be jetted right? Also does anyone know the compression one of thee 5K's run? Mine is a dished piston motor if that helps? Cheers Cameron

posted this on toymods - but I know there are a coupla subscribers who don't necessarily get over there, so I'll post here as well ... Well, the 32DIR on the 4K is haemorrhaging fuel (seemingly) from every available seal and partial orifice after a year of use ... well, there's a nice coating of red fuel and dirt shite all over it ... and I'm suspecting fuel pressure may be the culprit. I'm about to slap a 32/36 on the 4AC and (in addition to fixing the 4K's problem) I don't want the same issues on this one ... I have the stock 4K fuel pump pushing fuel into the weber - I think the toyota pump is in the 7-9 psi region, where as the weber probably wants some…

Hi guys. The speedway team I'm with has purchased a Junior. We haven't raced it yet. Over the last couple of outings for this car it's spun so many times it's a bit of a joke. Well the laughter is coming from a corner nearby as I have to sort it. With the car up high and the wheels sitting on blocks I saw the problem straight away. The leaf springs aren't set right. To get tilt in the car they've put a straighter leaf set in the left rear. With weight on the LR leaf set is actually bending the opposite way to what it should be doing. The right side leaf set has about a 1/2" curve through out. Not much suspension allowed here. Is this a 'normal set up' on one of these cars…

I'm chucking a 4AGE on carbies (because carbie are Sik  and sound awsome :hmm: ) into a rather clean RT40 corona. Mounts are sorted, carbie linkages are sorted, exhaust is sorted, cooling is sorted, fuel is sorted, clutch is sorted (RT40's have hydro clutch from the factory :y: ) However ignition isn't sorted. I've heard rumors that you can use a 4AC dizzy, with a sleeve and all's good? is this possible, do you need anything else, an ignightor for example. Has anybody got ignition kits for carbie engines? Others have suggested a Sigma Dizzy? is anything else required? need asleeve or mounting plate? the only other thread I found was back in Feb ad didn't re…

well, people always say you can put 1ggte pistons and rods into a 4k going off the measurements etc, so i thought to prove it true or false, having the majority of the ingredients. not a perfect experiement, but close enough. you will need 1ggte or gze or ge rods, so long as they are not gen 3 1ggte rods you will be fine, as these have a bigger big end. the ones i had had .25 oversize bearings, so they were a little tight on the crank, but for my purpose all was well. i also had no bearings on the crank, don't know what id done with them, bin I'm guessing. but it was bolted in, so again, close enough :lolcry: i took the rings off the piston for ease of use. and…

At the moment i have my ae86 sitting on the front lawn with a standard 4ac in it with a busted head... either cracked/warped or blown head gasket, as there is steam coming out of the exhuast, it misses and when i crank it with no plugs it shoots water out the holes.. hahaha Luckily for me, when i bought the car it came with another head that had been rebuilt, port n polished, fitted with dual valve springs and had the compression raised. It also has a custom ground cam in it too(I'm going to find out what the specs are soon). I also received manifold with two fully rebuilt weber carbs on it. I am unsure of what the carbs are though.. is there any markings o…

Hi all, i'm converting my ae71 to manual and have to put the spigot bearing in. I've never done this before so is the bearing meant to be a tight fit in the back of the crank?. On the box for the bearing it says 38x14. I got it from a bearing joint so it should be the right one and i've cleaned the hole it has to go in, but i can't get it in short of belting it in with a hammer. Any ideas? Cheers, Eddie.

has anyone on here dismantled an sc12 and changed the seals behind the bearings any info on this would be appreciated, and would really like to talk to someone who has done it before if there is anyone apparently the only way to get the bearings out to change the seals is by destroying them or heating them as i have just found on another site, but you need to make them hot like 200-400 degrees ish, to melt the glue to push them out anyway, has anyone done before?

The parts were listed as fitting KE70/AE71 and as the pictures show, they are different. My car is a 1984 AE71 Panno and the KE70 parts are off a 1982 model sedan. KE70 parts are on the left.
