Hey guys and gals. Well I did a swap on the weekend the Tercel for a AE82 Corolla 4AGE Bigport. Which was a fun drive home :P . This is my first Rolla with a 4AGE and I LOVE IT :y: :y: :y: . The old owner said it has a blown head gasket but after inspections found that is not the case (no water in engine or oil in coolant and did a radiator cap off test and no bubbles). Still yet to find the problem as it at times heats up to 3/4 temp when doing 100kms and drops back down to 1/2 when going 80kms. I would say it has a water pump problem and it has a leak somewhere. Hey i got a 1980 T-18 so thought i would make a thread. CAR. 1983 ae71 panel van not yet completed MOTOR. 4ac, head work done, no exsaust, messy look wireing {latest thing out of japan} and a performange batery that falls over if you go to fast. oh and a gear box that jams in 4th. Hey guys, i bought this KE55 about 2 years ago now for $100 (77,543 k's |blink|), it had a few bad patches of rust and we ending up doing some damage while out one night. So i decided i'd buy a parts car, cost me $500. Took pretty much everything off of it and then had it towed away. hey guys ive recently bought this 1984 slanty ke70 off of jordanrolla its a 1984 slanty front ke70 160xxxgenuine kms from what i gather(i got to roll it to 160k on the drive home :P ) 4speed manual converted by jordanrolla webber 32/36 ( soon to be forsale!!) this thing is soooooo clean and tidy compared to the last 2 ive owned, in this one there is only 4 specles of rust which I'm loving because the last ones ive owned where absolutly riddled. Well here's the latest purchase and yes it was the one advertised on this forum. I don't understand why no one else snapped it up ?, original 51,000kms, factory 5 speed and absolutely NO RUST!. Car drives like new even has the original Uniroyal SR78 tyres, drivers seat needs a small repair and there are a couple of small dents which i'm going to have the paintless dent man attend to and after a buff and polish all the original factory paint will come up a treat.

So i Bought the Ksev about February of 2009, dirty old 4k, standard, Got some wheels, a new exhaust, gktech wheel, and basically havent done much else to it, Finally decided its time to attack it and get it looking somewhat better than it was, so i started by finding what rust i had and figured why not get into it and sand it back to give it a new colour. decided i wanted to do an engine conversion, found a cheap CA18det engine package and have started the process of long hours of sanding, welding, bogging, more sanding, fab work, and such.. Havent got a deadline as of yet, so atm i do some work, forget about it, do some more, and so on...

objective - dedicated drift car i bought the 70 for $600 from a little old lady in north brisbane, the car was immaculate! not a spot of rust, interior was clean motor was great. unfortunatly due to switching jobs like pairs of underpants, the car had to sit in the yard for about a year. at times it had a p76 leyland v8 or a ca18 sitting in the engine bay, but both required wayyyy to much work. then one day i was sitting around thinking. hey wait. i have a mazda Bp 1.8 dohc sitting in my laser (did the conversion a year or 2 ago).. conversion to rwd (ding!) so i start googling for information on people that have done a conversion like this into a ke70. Hi Everyone, Here is a bit of an introduction to my new wagon. It's a 82 KE70, which I've had for about 4 or 5 months and have cherished the shoit out of it (except for that damn clutch cable!). It has 330,000km on it and it still drives fantastic. Everything on it is standard, which I like, since I have a blank canvas to build my own daily to how I'd like it. The previous owner said that it had been resprayed some time in it's history, which looks to be true as the paint (however a little sensitive to scratching) is very presentable. Hi, I just joined up and am looking for insiration to finish my ke20 as well as other people that have done simialr things. In breif, I am using a 4AGE bottem end(crank,rods,pistons) in a 5k block with holden V6 roller lifters, roller cam(obviously), 3k big port head(extensivly ported and modified combustion chamber), Hawk EC21 ECU and SC12 supercharger. I have gotten caught up with 355 holdens and need to get motivated to finish this project as the engine itself is ready to assemble. All I need to do is make up the brackets for the blower and finish the inlet manifold. I will post some pics up very soon. Cheers, Matt

Hey guys this is my ke55 that I purcashed about a year ago featuring a CA18DET, Microtech, Hilux Diff and Nice Paint Job, I got a few more mods that I want to do as the engine features a T25g and runs about 14psi making a very quick car but I'd love to chuck on a t28 just to try break it into the 12's, thought i'd share it with the forum, great tight car and handles great, cheers Kurt

Hi guys, Picked up this KE35 the other day. I'm new to Corolla's so learning as I go. I don't really have a clear direction for it yet, just hoping to improve it gradually over time. It's reasonably straight with the exception of some minor dings and scratches accumulated over the past 42 years and seems to be free of any serious rust. It's had a closed door respray at some point too, the original colour is similar but more of slightly darker grey. Running a standard 3k but has had a 5 speed conversion - not sure which type yet. first task will be a decent service I think, radiator is putrid and oil's not much better. Cheers, John.

Hi guys, just showing off my KE17... I've had it for about 8 months now, driving it on and off and fixing issues as they come up. I've got money saved up to do a restoration/mods... its just a matter of time. There are very few of these things up in the northern hemisphere, VERY hard to find parts. As it sits now it has 90k miles on it, the body is great with a paint job that looks perfect from 10 feet and just a couple little bubbles of rust, but mechanically its a bit tired. The seats are a pretty wasted but the door cards, headliner, and dash are overrated. I'm unsure at this point of future plans. I think at this point I'm leaning towards a 4k+5spd and some s…

Hey hey, Since my ke70 wont be anywhere near road worthy condition when i get my licence back i have a bought a St141 corona to drive then. The bad stuff Needs new tires as my 13's with new tires makes the car look weird and it feels sloppy with them on. The rear windows don't wind up or down, The passenger door doesnt open either. Has 2 tiny spots of rust in the roof but they havent had a chance to go to holes yet. Time for the good stuff Has no terminal rust, Suspension is ok, Runs fine, Has a 5 speed, I put my s13 rims on it and it looks half decent now. Pictures

Hi Guys, I'm SatNav (or Tom), I am new to the corolla scene but enjoying every minute of it! Ive recently built a KE55 Rally Car, below are some photos of the build. (I have almost 100 so far) It's currently a stock 4k engine complete with webber carby and a 4spd k40 gearbox. The interior has a 6 point roll cage with double side intrusion bars, sparco sprint v race seats and 4 point harnesses. When I got the car it had rust in the usual spots(so I have been told) but not a great deal, so it was an easy fix and the paint job was the fun part! :) Please let me know if you have any suggestions ect.. as with any car there are always improvements to be mad…

Well I know I said to myself and everyone else I wouldn't touch this one but how can you not???? It's begging for the Craig touch. Big front brakes, bigger drums and a 5speed at least. I'v done a little bit of research today. R31 struts should almost be a bolt in affair. (Haha. Bolt in. Who am I kidding??) The bolt spacing for the steering arm is 80mm just like the ke20 and the strut height is only 20mm longer than a ke20. Probably end up with a little bit of increased track. Hey everyone. Well was on eBay just yesterday on my lunch break at work seeing if there where any 5k's on there. And cam across my old ke36 from when I was in Canberra. As some may now this is also geoff's old wagon. I bought it off geoff. Then sold it back to geoff. This guy got it from geoff and is now selling it, so I'm buying it back lol. For those that don't know. This car is running a 5k with k40. Has had the rust cut out from the front guards. Standard manifold and exhaust back from there.
