Well I thought I'd start a new thread for this AE71 I bought a few weeks ago. It was in a bit of a front to rear prang with the previous owner unfortunately so a little bit of 'extra' work I originally didn't want to encounter in a build up will be needed. hi folks I'm a new member. just picked up this corolla last week. it has only got 75,000klms on it....not sure if thats genuine but judging by the interior it seems like it's been looked after. i bought it as a car for my gf to drive but i don't want to let her drive it now as I'm scared she will ding it. all of the paint seems original too so i don't think its been in any major accidents.

heres my ke70 its a 1984, S model (povest spec) rust in both rear archs, rust in one spot in boot. will fix when i got around to it, and flare them... broken bumper lenz.. will replace it some time... mods: currently i have a reclinable drivers bucket as the stock one had the arse fallen out of it ;) also have a 3 3/4" tacho over the ghey clock geniune single layer nitto tape eye lids 8mm spacers on the front... parts i got that is going in: ma61 rims.. just need some desent 2nd hand tyres.. 4ac and t-50 layin on my shed floor up coming: 4ac conversion organic plate exedy cut springs ae86 struts/adm brakes ma61 rims.. get them on the dam car!…

recently bought a 1 owner 1982 ke70, pretty good condition. it has a few bits of surface rust here and there but no big rust patches. Only thing that is wrong with it is the clear coat is fading off on the bonnet , bootlid and a little bit on the roof. The car has done 260 000k's and it's the original engine, gave it a service the other day and it's gutless as hell but cheap on fuel ;) hopefully 1 day it will get a new paint job and mild 4age conversion with the stuff thats in my ae71 paddock basher. hey this is my ke55 the story is a old lady bout this from new and had it till she died and left it in her will for her grand son I'm guessin he hadnt had it for to long judjing on the p plate sitting in the back, he wanted some thing to impress his mates so he took it to the wreckers and sold/swaped it(I'm unsure) i drove past the wrecker and it was sitting in the car yard part out the front so we went and had a look. the only bad parts about it are a tad of rust were the sun visor was and a tad above the driver side light, so i went home and told mum i was buyin it and she goes oh well ok and thats it. it goes very very well but walkes in the steering it has a brand…

hey guys, i know ive spoken before about my rolla and putting the SR into it, so i thought its time i should put some pics up, yesterday the engine mounts were completed. ill let the pics do the talking from here: first day i got my ke70, knocked on some ladies door and offered her $200, it had head problems. she was going to give it to a wrecker. First of all i know nothing about corollas, i bought one on the weekend and its the first one ive ever own. I'm here to learn as much as i can about the car and how to make it go faster without spending a shitload of money. I bought a KE20 corolla with an engine from a T18(whatever that is) in it, it goes pretty good and its like driving a go kart cause the thing only weighs 860kgs. previoulsy ive only owned utes which ive lowered the shit out of, i still own an 87 king cab navara with all door handles, badges, fuel filler etc shaved and some other body work done to it, its too low though and without airbags i can't really drive it anywhere without scraping the leaf sprin…

Hello, first let me introduce myself. I'm Peter and I live in the Netherlands. I own 2 EA92's and have owned a TE71 during my traineeship in South Africa. I'm a member of the dutch corolla club (They also have a forum for you who can read dutch: www.corollaforum.nl) I have attached some pics of my (ex-)rides. Unfortunally, the 4a-ge engine is not that common in the corolla's over here. we basicly stick with the 4a-fe. Although I have some early plans for a swap with a gze or a silvertop. Hey guys i own a auto ke70 and was thinking is it worth it to change to a manual or just sell it and buy a manual ke-70? Its got some rust e.g behind the fuel cap, in the boot seal area.. Do you reckon i should pursue in fixing this up or look for a cleaner ke70. Any help would be good and some pointers on what i should pay attention on the car first would be appreciated because i'm kinda new to all of this.I'll post pics soon

Yes it's a cooner/padock basher/rally thrasher or whattever you want to call it. It's straight, runs very well, doesn't leak oil or water, however is full of rust. It is registerable in SA. Mods so far: Stripped interior spooled up diff Corona mags (I think) Mods to follow: 1 coil to be out of the front springs (lowers and stiffins) turn the bottom leaf at the back upside down, and clamp on top, (lowers and stiffens the car) 1.5" to be cout out of each guard (rust removal and guard clearance,) then flair the guards Rattle can Matt black paint job. As some of you may know i bought millers ke35 coupe off him a couple of months ago. I'm gonna put a ae101 4agze with sc14 in it. I have already pulled out the 4k and started to fit the 4a, gonna make some custom engine mounts: watch this space for all the progress!

hey guys,just scored this nice ke70.clean as except for a bit of cancer.i saw this on the way home from the shops, it said best offer on the window so i offered alot less that what i thought it was worth they took it SCORE.don't know what mods i want i need time to think about it ive only owned the car for 8 hours now. there is a bit of rust, thats what i want to get fixed first. :)

Today my KE10 which i've owned for the last 11 years has found a new home. The new owner certainly proved himself to be a worthy owner of a classic Japanese car, turning up in a stunning little Mazda 1300. Makes the pain of loosing a great little friend easier knowing its going to a good home. :lock:

Picked up an ae82 twin cam from a local wreckers for $1000 with only a stripped clutch as a fault. We have stripped it out, built strengthening plates for rollover and half built the roll cage, custom fit racing seats, removed steering lock, mounted harnesses, mounted skid plate and replaced a hd clutch. Rally tires are on with the suspension razed a bit! All the welding and fab is done by me. mechanical is me with huge mechanical knowledge support from Dad. hey guys, I bought this vehicle a while back, then went through 2 gearbox's and a diff and decided i didn't want anything to do with it, so sold it to a friend, he then repaired all the things i had fooked and i bought it back, haha strange i know, but anyway, this is it, all standard bar the stuff i did today, which was lower it and put a set of trx rims on.

G'day all this is my 2dr ke30 (75) its got the shameful 3k but hopefully a worked 2tg will be going in the next few months( when money permits) I'm doing an all round package, engine, driveline ,suspension, paint , stereo and interior . G'day everyone, This is my new project. It's a 78 ke36 panel van. It's got a 3tgte under the hood, a celica 5 speed, and a spooled 9" diff in the rear. So far i have replaced the front suspension with KYB shocks and KING springs. I am replacing the front guards, bonnet and grille with new taiwanese items (unless anyone has any good secondhand stuff for sale ;) ). I'm also taking out the spool and converting back to LSD for street use and so I can get the thing registered. It will be wearing a fresh coat of bright red paint soon too. Hi all. Just bought this 1974 ke20 pretty much stock apart from the cd player and amp in the boot . Eventually would like to put a bigger motor (maybe 4a ge motor ), 5 speed gear box and lock the diff. As is these are fun little cars to drive . cheers john
