hey all. as a few of you know i traded my little subaru sherpa to benzo on here for his red ke70 wagon, i loved the look of it, low top slant face just what i was after. drove the wagz round for a bit noticing it was missing a bit, so i tuned it up went round driving it having some fun etc when i looked at bonnet while driving one day i saw stuff coming from under bonnet and i thought smoke, so i pulled over, turns out it was steam, long story short blew headgasket cracked head and cracked bottom end in the 4k. finally made it to my uncles place where i could keep it till i got the new motor and installed it. next day went and got a fully rebuilt 4k motor jammed it in the…

Last week I picked up a nice neat black 2001 AE112 Levin with 150K on the clock. This is the bigger family car.. however as we all know once we get a new rolla we just want to play with it and make it special!!! Hope to be active here more now that I have a rolla Cheers Danthuyer

Basically I sold my pride and joy last year and bought a house(LINK to build-up). Now I've got the bug to build another one. I put up a WTB add on here where redae71 quickly put me in touch with one of his mates who was selling a shell. Got a early KE70 with a silver-top sitting in it for $600(bargain), palmed off the 20V to a mate, now I'm left with a rough but Straight/Rust free shell, perfect canvas to work my magic on. I'm a Bit of a fly-by-the-seat-of-pants type, but to start with the plan is: SR20DE SR/RB box S13 front coil-overs R33 Brakes all round F-series Diff Body braced and lightened as much as possible This is how it looks right now. Only…

Hi people, this is now the car that I'm building the 20v setup into. Its a nice straight ae71 manual csx. I'm going to fit the 20v and ae86 diff and all the good suspension stuff from the last car. Its vital stats are as follows: White paint - code AA October 84 model. CSX so it has boot and fuel poppers and a lush velour ocean lapping the inside. 397,000 klms. Runs strong as can be, but it needs the exhaust welded up for a roadyworthy certificate. The t50 feels great, the smoothest quietest one Ive driven with. :jamie: It has a little rust. The fuel filler is fine, the arches are 98 percent, the boot lip needs work but only on one edge (the bit above th…

For pics, see my photo blog: Sloth's AE86 And pics of my two girls: AE86 vs KE55 The Story so far: My first car was a KE35 rolla (it was actually my step-dads but I basically inherited it). Me and my dad started doing a bit of work on it, but ended up buying a KE55 and working on that instead. (I've told this story many times before, so I'll skip ahead). 3 years and a couple of dollars later the KE55 was sprayed blue with white stripes, had new car, a new dash, momo wheel, sparco fixed back seat and had a 7k that had been rebuilt (and improved) with a 5 speed box. It only puts out 56rwkw, but it's a fun car too drive (sometimes too fun). She's started to …

Hi there, I'm Ben. People call me silly because I sold my yamaha R1 to get a KE20 2 door a fortnight ago. Lol. I have since brought a KE70 and 2 KE55 coupes (that I have now stripped). One of the KE55's my missus has claimed (the one in the backround of my photo), and I'm in the process of getting it registered. My mate bludger got me interested in these things. He has a yellow KE70 panel van. Little bit about my car: 4k 4 speed, locked diff, and the finest quailty super cheap export paint job lol. Looking forward to going on a cruise.

Hi guys and gals, Well I could only go so long without owning a Corolla, although to be honest I didn't expect to be back in one so soon. I've always wanted one of these, and at the moment it will suit my lifestyle perfectly. '91 AE95 wagon, 5 speed, all wheel drive, has done close to 400,000 k's and has a stuffed motor but would appear to be very original and tidy otherwise, and is still registered (Tasmania) and driving. The colour is perfect for a set of wheels and tinted windows and interior looks very clean indeed. Picking it up tonight - haven't even seen it yet which I know is risky but considering the price and the multitude of good pictures on eBa…

Haven't post here in a while, but here goes.. Hi guys and girls, just wanna show my latest purchase. 1984 AE71 Wagon, with stock 4ac+5 speed manual. Stock interior except for the CD player on the dash. Stock suspension. Stock everything really :P. I'll let the pics do the talking. Future plans are to replace the cd player with stock am/fm radio on the dash, put a decent audio system, lower it a bit, some sort of old-skool mags, and maybe 4ag conversion later on. Enjoy!

Time to let the cat out the bag... A few people already know, but I guess I should let the rest of the world know too :jamie: Just over a month ago, I made a snap-decision purchase to bid on this KE36 Panel Van on eBay and happened to have won it, so off I went on a 37 hour journey (with little sleep) to Melbourne to pickup this little gem. This is how it stands now: The front guards and apron are all dented up, so I've sourced some rust free panels and will be fitting them up and giving it a lick of paint and then it should be all systems go to get it ID checked and on the road. Enjoy!

Hi Everyone, I have always been a big fan of the AE92 sedan with the Black Bumpers, my dad owned one when i was a little boy back in the early 1990's and the car grew on me since... i recently bought one and i may have been stung by the mod bug..my every fortnight when i get paid i start to hunt for parts.. so anyway here's the car when i bought it: (i apologise about picture size) the very 1st thing that i did was change the Dash equipment, the car didnt have a tachometer, so i sourced one from the wreckers and swapped it, of couse i took the speedometer apart and trasferred the original Kms here it is fitted with the tachometer. i have also removed…

Hey Everyone, I've had my KE70 for quite a while as most of you may know and it's been through a few small transformations since I've owned it, but it's still quite a simple Corolla. At the moment it is sort of an ongoing daily project. Here's a short history of what's happened to the car starting a little bit before I owned it - I hope you enjoy it: My uncle worked for a young woman who was given the car by her elderly relative. The young lady couldn't drive manual so the car sat there for a while without any use. My uncle saw it in the unused state and asked what she was doing with it and she said that she was planning to send it to the wreckers. My uncle…

UPDATE!: Decided to stop being a cheapo, so got rid of the cheap guard mirrors and got myself some early 80's Dragways! Really adds to the look of the car me thinks, comments? (also updated info) _____________________________________________________________________ Hey! My names Matthew, I live in Elsternwick. Just got this KE70 for $500 from a rental place. It's brown, very very brown. I put in a Pioneer headunit, with 6" Pioneer's in the front, and Pioneer 6x9's in the rear. :lolcry: I also discovered the wonderful art of Key-Banging about 3 days after purchasing the car, and using it to scare people shitless. This summer a buddy and me were going to the North Cape, a story you can read here. In short, I sent my white '82 KE70 off the road 150 miles down the trip and bought another '82 KE70 the same day. In two months I've put 5k miles on it and it's worked like a charm. Prior to the unintended offroading with the white car I was going to tear it down and build it up like a pre-facelift with JDM front lights, chrome bumpers and more. Right now I don't know exactly what's going to happen, but the beige '82 is a far better base than the white '82. Either I'm gonna restore the beige car with its original parts and newer chrome bumpers (that's if the white car survives, not dec…
