I brought some 14 x 7 mags for it just waiting to get tyres on my other pair :cool, cut the springs (I think I cut a bit to much off) and put the chrome bumper on. I got another chrome bu…

Hey I bought the car in great condition about 6 months ago of an old bloke in the blue mountains. since then i have not done anything major to the car yet (apart from getting hit by another car :hmm: ) iv'e just been doing little things to make it look nicer (e.g. lowering the car, respraying the grill, air filter, stereo, sprayed the rims black...) After the crash i bought another ke30 from a wreckers in blacktown, i got the whole car (without engine and box) for $350 so was pretty happy with that. so thats what i have been using for parts (e.g. bonnet, radiator support, grill, front spoiler...) but i don't have a front bummper yet, if anyone is selling one please …

Hi guys, Just thought I'd Introduce myself as I have always been trawling through this site and have recently aquired a ke55 sedan. My name is Alex and I live in the modbury area in SA. I am a DIY backyard mechanic and Electronics Technitian/Engineer by trade. My pride and joy is my 1986 AE82 Twincam Corolla. I bought it years ago and slowly fell in love with the beast. The nimble response and go-kart feel has always put a smile on my face when I hop in the car. Especially after driving my missisus honda so called sports car! Anyway, It all started with little things untill the motor blew a rear main seal and my mechanic wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to fix…

car is for sale! $1100 ono well where do i start. i was down at the wreckers on saturday looking for a pair of wheels for a friend and i found this beauty. it was just sitting off to the side of the lot and still had the keys in it. just out of sheer idiocy i turned the keys just to see what would happen, it started! i went up to the office to ask if it was possible to buy the car as a whole. the girl behind the counter wasn't much help and said i'd have to wait till the boss came back. while waiting for the boss i see this big forklift going towards the car, i freaked and tell the guys to stop. i run to the office and tell the girl to get her boss on…

ive already got a members ride on here somewhere for my KE20 but i picked up a 25 a couple of weeks ago so ill put everything in one thread.... alright. The KE25 came to me through divine intervention..... it started on christmas day when my KE20 shit itself and left me stranded at home, alone, on chrissy day. my family is a 3 hour drive away so i decided to call around and do christmas with some mates. one of the mates happened to own a 4age powered KE25 and he had run up the back of a hilux a couple of weeks before christmas, we got talking on chrissy day and the way he described the car it was a write off so i offered him 1500 for the car so i could swap the engine…

Well... I've bought myself a Ke35 Coupe. It's an auto. I've decided to make my own thread because I felt like I was Hi-Jacking Josh's Van thread. Plans: So far, to get it started and running, then Cut & Polish, and park it in the backyard. So far I don't have any plans, I still need to check the car inside out. The car has an Immaculate "Grandma Spec" Cream Vinyl Interior with 45,000kms on the clock. The car appears to be RUST FREE all round (that we know of). It has a Mild 5K and a full set of ORIGINAL Hub Caps. Now come the pics of the Car from Josh's thread. Interior pics will come soon. Cheers Woz :y:

Hi guys, I'm a new owner of a pretty old rolla. It's a 1983 KE70 Corolla wagon CS. Just wondering if there's a site with a little more detail about this car, or if anyone else has one that they've done some work too. I'm basically keeping it as a second car, and am keen to take it on little trips etc, as I see that as the advantage of having a wagon ;) Also, does anyone know what size speakers fit in these cars? Maybe 4 or 6 inch in the front, and the rear speaker holes look pretty big- maybe 6 x 9, but I haven't had a good look. There's currently no speakers or system in the car at all, so I'm keen to buy a little system for it. Let me know what you think. The c…

hi all, i got this corolla from a friend bout 6 months ago and have only jus decided to fix it up and make it street legal. It's a 1979 KE55 Sedan, when i got it it had major rust issues and the paint was cracked and faded everywhere, the rear bumper was bent and all door seals are screwed so it has never really had a proper wash. the main rust was in the gaurds and is also the worst place to bog. i have completely stripped the car and sanded it back, 90% of rust work is fixed, as you can see most of the car is now in primer and now just waiting to find a good painter. the last places that needs bogging is in the gaurds as you can see in one of the pics taken from…

Here is the car guilty of slowing the progress on my conversion to my KE55. But I must say it has been a well worthwhile experience. It is the first time I have ever done a job such as this. It was a tiring one as I had only nights after my job to work on it. Anyway, it is an 1975 MS85 Crown Super Saloon. It's got all the jizz and jazz you could ask for back in the mid 70's. Power windows all round, central locking, power steering(as most crowns have), fully functional and quite impressively cold air conditioning, boot popper, automatic locking once you reach over 45km/h, automatic rear demister, rear passenger radio controls, antenna's for the radio are inte…

We'll as i already have a very clean KE30 weekender i thought it might be time to replace the daily 'commonwhore' with a real car. The old man and I found this 1980 KE55S CS hardtop via word of mouth and snapped it up. Wasn't running and had been sitting for two years. A couple minutes later after pulling apart the fuel pump, fitting a new fuel filter and hose, topping up some trans fluid and fitting a new battery she was purring like a beast! BASIC DETAILS 4K 3spd slushbox (trimatic :D ) Light blue Cloth seats which appear to be in ok condition under those hideous seat covers and that's about it for now. Plans are to get her on the road and then get her lo…

So i Bought the Ksev about February of 2009, dirty old 4k, standard, Got some wheels, a new exhaust, gktech wheel, and basically havent done much else to it, Finally decided its time to attack it and get it looking somewhat better than it was, so i started by finding what rust i had and figured why not get into it and sand it back to give it a new colour. decided i wanted to do an engine conversion, found a cheap CA18det engine package and have started the process of long hours of sanding, welding, bogging, more sanding, fab work, and such.. Havent got a deadline as of yet, so atm i do some work, forget about it, do some more, and so on...

Hello everyone. So I've been wanting to get a corolla project for a while and then this little beauty popped up. This 1980 ke55 which belonged to a good mate of mine that he wanted to do up but never got the chance. Bought it on Saturday. It's a 4k with 5 speed. The engine has done less than 10,000kms since it's rebuild. I spoke with the original owner who did the work to it and was a little bit hazy with the details but he told me that it has: Balanced Crankshaft Some sort of lumpy cam Bored out 20thou Head work And of course a 32/36 Webber :hmm: It has lowered king springs on the front and adjustable shockers in the rear. The interior in this thing is…

Though considering this is the rolla club I might have to start some ride threads for my rolla's. Well I've actually had this car for a long time. it started as a Standard ke35 that i bought for $200, used it as a daily till the 3k decided it had enough. I then threw a 2tg in it and T50 box. once I got some more power I blew 2 diffs. so I upgrade to a TA22 rear end converted to leaf springs. It liked this better. I started racing the car at sprints. Then I wanted a bit more from it and installed the race wheel and raceseat, plus some neccesary gauges for safety. After having some fun I got it lowered, the old fashion way...chopped the front…

Hey all, i now have a ke30 2 door corolla. My turbo Ke55 is on hold for the moment :P Here are some pics of the car when i picked it up. As you can see it needs a little bit of work! This car has a 5k motor and a 5 speed gearbox. the body is fairly straight apart from a few dents around the place. and there is minimal rust.. compared to my other corolla! I am going to spray the car acrylic white to give it a mirror finish. also some future plans are white wall tires a rear venetian blind and probably lowered a little bit. other then that ill probably keep it stock standard as i have my quick little red rocket as my other car. I am also looking for a…
