Hello everyone. I bought my first car for $500 the other day. It is a 1981 3sp Auto with a standard 4k. The paint is fairly rough it even comes off onto you hand as you wipe your hand across the car. The seats are very ripped and there is a big dent in the rear bumper. My Plans so far it to paint it in a dark metallic midnight purple with 16" or 17" Chrome rims and Cream Leather interior throughout.

Hey all, after an absolute shit-fight with towing, I am now the proud owner of a really good (compared to my usual buckets) Multi-coloured AE71 wagon. I sat down and actually wote a plan for this car. She will need to be inspected to get registration, so I am going to leave the 4ac in it, degrease, clean etc, do body work and paint (white "rollered" boat paint), fit the TRX rims with leagl 2nd hand tyres, change the diff centre (ROFLMAO at the thought of driving in to inspection bay with the weldy in place!) and fit the missing driveling components from "Jesus". At the same time; I am going to continue doing bits and pieces on "Jesus" with the turbo conversion, so as soon …

hey I'm new to the site and this is my daily that i picked up for $400. is pretty much stock apart from the half missing exhaust (have meaning to get fixed since i bought it) and the welded diff lol. its not n the best condition as you can see in the pic under the door seal is pushed in from the previous owner. am thinkikng of maybe lowering it and some cheap mags ? any ideas? just thinking of some things to make it look a little better without spending to much money as its only a cheap run about car. cheers

This is a story of a family heirloom so to speak. This Seca was first bought by my dad as a cheap run around back in 2003. After upgrading to a new Seca in 2005, my brother bought it. After which, it quickly fell into disrepair as the interior and engine were being neglected. This became even more evident after sitting stagnant for a year in my bro's garage. After ditching my old KE70 "Stan", I was due for an upgrade. So, as this Seca had already been owned by both of the other men in my family, it was only right for it to become mine. And so it did, for the choice sum of $25O. Although I was quickly to find out that the starter motor, master/slave clutch and alte…

Hey all, Picked this up a while ago with a suspected blown engine, so i bought it to just chuck another engine into it. So i inspected it to see how it was and what the problem was, i couldnt find any visible fault. So i put charge to it and it started up and ran fine. Let it warm up a bit then took it for a drive. Drove good, just felt like it needed a bit of a tune up. Came back looked under the bonnet and it had a coolant leak or stream if you like coming from the thermostat housing. Pulled that apart and found it had been dodgy'ed up very badly, new gasket over old one with silicon. So i cleaned it all up and sealed it up using silicon (Good old liquid gasket!…

hey guys thought id post some pics of my AE92 corolla seca. i have done few mods such as guages steering wheel and a basic sound system, still need to get subs and amps though, i just recently bought a SX seca spoiler which i will be stripping the paint off and respraying the same as the body of the car.. will do that when i get the paint and time. just recently i rebuilt the carby and replaced the inlet manifold gasket, goes a fair bit better than it did before i did that. I will be getting an exhaust with extractors in a few months so that should help things out a bit further. Future mods will be a 4age 16V or 20V conversion which i will be building myself as soon as i …

Well, here it goes, (excuse my drunkenness and i write this up, Thank god for spell check.) I've been collecting parts for this car for over 6 months now and I've finally decided to write up a thread. I'll start with the first one. I named her Skanky-Loue cause i liked the sound of the name and because of the skanky 4K engine. I bought her on the 16th of October 2006 with the full intention of doing her up. I started to strip her back and planned to have the rust cut out then repaint her myself in Ford XR-5 Orange. I planned on making her look like a 1981 model KE55, the one with the square headlights. I never liked the square headlight look but over time it had g…

Well where do i start ?, at the beginning i guess. I purchased this 69 KE10 some 12 years ago as a stock little car powered by a 3K and backed by a 2 speed auto. I gave it to my dad to use as a work hack back then. As the years passed i changed it to a manual, put a KE25 front end in it, added Mazda 323 front struts and brakes, had a full chrome molley cage fitted and had a JTS built 4k installed running twin 40ml Webers. Then i got married, got a mortgage and this project got shelved. About 6 years ago i took the motor out and put in into a KE70 to use as a Kahanacross car and the poor little 10 got left out and unfortunately started to weather away. Now the KE 70 ha…

Did the dodge and just took the head off cleaned with a razor blade and put a new gasket on, and its been the best car i've ever owned. I do need a LH park light cover though, so if anyone can help me find one it would be greatly appreciated.

After a year and a half of searching and waiting I have finally got my first corolla! Its a 1984 KE70 Wagon. Picked it up for $600. The aim at this stage is to fix it up to road worthy and use as a daily. Down the track though I plan to give it an engine upgrade though. Still haven't decided between a 4AGTE or a CA18DET. I will upload some photos as soon as I can and you can see the work in progress.

hey guys this is my 82 flat front ke70 that i bought for $810 from a guy in coloundra, it has a standard 4k block and head with a 5 speed manual box. i have now done rust repairs on the doors and boot where the major rust was, still a i little bit left and should be all good then. it has low kings in the back with matching shocks, but standard in the front for now yet to buy some. my plans for this car is to completely strip it down and repair everything and spray the whole car, and to put a worked 5k with 4k head. these are the rims that i got with the car, complete set. they where a bit crappy where the crome was so i polished them up, then i still wasnt happy…

Picked this up today, needed a car in reserve for when I find a new job and give up my company car - perhaps this will motivate me to really start looking because my job is utter bollocks. Mega downgrade haha, but I'm broke (new mortgage) and 70's are cheap to fix and familiar. Has a Towbar which will come in handy too. Its borderline for fixing....but I might use it to teach myself panel work and rust repairs if I can be arsed, shell is pretty good for a 70. As you can see though, front damage will need to be fixed, and a huge section of bog from a previous repair is about to fall off the back door! Funny. No rust around fuel door and only one little bit in the boo…

Definitely gonna need a MIG me thinks... Not too bad from a distance, 1 of 5 or 6 in OZ? Fabrication definitely required Factory air-conditioning...NOT! Japanese for "rusty"? Back end looks much like OZ T18, maybe easiest to cut the whole arse off and weld on T18 metal? It says "LEVIN", I guess that means I'm O.K. to post on a corolla forum. Hatch is thankfully relatively rust free, otherwise I would be boned... Oh yeah, can't start work just yet, still at previous owners place, waiting for engine to be pulled. Someone wish me luck, I am gonna need it.

Hi all, my missus finally got her first car and I'm proud to announce it's a Corolla. The car is a 1990 Corolla Seca SPIRIT! It's powered by an auto 4afc power-house, has 170k on the clock, and has 15" alloys. The exterior and interior of the car is in fantastic condition, and for the price we payed it's hard to find better... :sob: And after some help from "Paint"...Pimpin' To-do list: -Tints (probably 5 or 15%) -Sound System (I have one waiting to go in) -Roll rear guards...coz it scrubs with fatties like me in it... -Lowering (sits fairly high with the 15's) Cheers, MM
