Hey all. Well my mate told me that his grandmother had an old corolla coupe, as i was searching for a nice daily corolla. So after a few weeks with him getting in contact with her in wollongong we arranged a day and time to go down (from Bathurst) and have a look (Friday). So we went down in my mates ute and went to look at the car. it wasnt as nice as it was made out to be but it was still really good. She was the owner of the car since new and it had always been looked after. It spent the first 27 years of its life outside of the garage as they had their "big car" (falcon) in the shed. But she sold that when her husband died so since then the corolla has been garage…

Hey all, I have been looking around asking dumb questions for long enough I thought I should make a contribution to this wonderful site. Here is my 1980 Toyota Corolla Ke55 with a 4k and 5 speed manual. This is how it looked when i got it and I drove it this way for a few years. Then I became obsessed and started doing things..... Got venetians and put nicer Ke30 lights on. Ahhh ... much better.... Then painted window surrounds black and got some 40 dollar steal rims to replace the stockies. They look great. Very happy with them. Thats all for now will update more later in weekend. Ciao Chris

  3. this is how I found the poor thing here is the 1200cc powerhouse since these were taken the car is out of the weeds. I have test fitted some 13x7 wheels and they will clear nicely. Ebay has graciously provided new brakes (ouch my wallet hurts) I have a nice Hyundai rear spoiler (re-commissioned as an airdam) thanks to U-pull-it (although I may go a different way). A friend is donating various Ford parts to make the car turn (cough swaybar cough). I think I have found some slicks for it on E-bay so it'll stick too. Budget wise on my $500 self imposed limit I will have enough left to either paint it or buy a racing seat (read used MX-5 seat). I'll …

So here it is... Its a KE36 panel van currently needing some work done. it is a baby spew yellow colour. I plan on respraying him red, like Redwarf Red and maybe have White signage down the side. got this new shopping trolley for my wife + baby (and for me as well sometimes). I looked hard at Toyota Chasers, Nissan Stagea M35s, WRXs, 530i Touring (the wagon) and this seemed to tick the most boxes in terms of practicality, parts prices and insurance costs, and of course potential power-up options down the track. *Toyota Chaser - boot is smaller than the ae112r corolla *WRX wagon - again, boot is deceptively small *530i Touring & M35 Stagea - both very expensive to insure (sometimes over $2k per year), and next to zero easy power up options I got this 07/06 (first reg. 12/06) BF XR6 Turbo with 26,000kms for $23k. It costs only $1k per year to insu…

Anyhow I have some before photos of as I found it and after a decent wash. Still running the factory 3k with k40, has some interesting trim my other ke20 L didn't have. Hey all, Relatively new to these forums but I thought I would post up a couple of photos of my KE70 project. It is a 2 door conversion from a 4 door. It’s had the B-pillars moved back about 200mm and the front doors extended to suit. Just picked up the wheels for it this week, I had them sandblasted and then powder coated at my uncle’s powder coating business and polished up the dish and I think they come up Mickey Mouse. Only got the pair for the front so am trying to chase up another pair for the rear, slightly wider ones. It’s going to run a S13 front end with a SR20det with RB20box and R31 diff. Hope ya all like it. Keep Rollin -Mish

That search led me to this little gem. Its a 1969 KE15 SL Sprinter with just over 90,000km on the clock. Was owned by a 95 yo (!!!!) marine engineer, who hasn't driven it in the last 4 or 5 years, but up to then was his pride and joy. I dealt with his daughters who wanted it to go to a loving home, and fortunately they decided I was the perfect second owner!
