hey guys and gals, thought i would introduce my car to the forum.. some specs: engine: it did have a 4age in it. it has a 4agze now that i've almost finished converting. just a few wiring gremlins but other than that its basically done. it did have a rebuilt motor as i spun number 1 big end. luckily for me it wasn't damaged too bad so i got it all machined up, head rebuilt etc. unfortunately i used an ACL head gasket and not even 10 000km's later it split. so i ordered me a genuine head gasket and some ARP head studs.then about 9 months later i got bored of the bigport and decided to get an ae101 halfcut. gearbox: e58 LSD with Exedy heavy duty clutch. mac…

Hi, I'm new here. I have a KE20 with a 265 Hemi 6cyl, it has triple SUs, big hi-stall and a 9 inch diff. Its currently being painted and ready prepared for the track. It is the 4th KE20 i have owned and definatly the craziest one. I would love some opinions on brake and front suspention upgrades. This is its current state, all prepared for paint

I picked this up for $100, it was a fair mess when I got it, was shoved in the corner of the guys shed and had a commodore muffler on it. After my first day of owning it I have given it a good clean, pumped the tires, polished it all up, taken off the commy muffler and put all the missing bolts back in. I picked up this baby for $1200. its got great torque @4000rpm - 7500rpm but it needs something done to it so I can take off with the power it has at the higher revs. I just replaced the lhf hud and it handles like a dream now, its also just had a clutch in the last year, the gearbox doesnt go into 2nd if I'm doing over 50kph for some reason and its annoying because it does over 90kph in 2nd before its redlines anyone have a suggestion? I'm just a newb when it comes to talking about cars but I'm trying to learn. so this is my 4door 1969 ke10. I'm not sure weither to tidy it up or get rid of it. its real straight and has not rust, has been panelled and primed, just needs a rub back and a top coat really. but whats makes me unsure is the second two photos.. the last owner has modified the gearbox/driveshaft tunnel, or should i say made it massive. I'm not sure they have done it but they have. it doesnt really effect the vehicle that much but the things i don't like about it are... 1) means the original back seat wont fit properly unless i get that part changed back 2) less foot room front and back 3) takes away from the original-ness of the car 4) its just stupidly…

Hi guys, I've got an AE71 panno that I'm currently building up and I need some advice on what colour to change it to. It is currently beige (with black primer and rust highlights) and so far my options are: 1. Gloss black (Silhouette from BF Falcon). 2. Midnight purple (R33 GT-R) 3. Beige with wood look side panels (with gold lowrider style wire wheels) The respray will be done roughly when I get my tax refund this year. Any thoughts on these options (or others) will help me out heaps. I'll try and put some photos up shortly.

i got my ke20 resprayed about 4months ago and finally got the windscreen rubbers from overseas. i got new front windscreen installed cost me $180.00 as the car is sitting and doing no driving at all for almost 5 months now its very filthy inside.tidy up on the cabin and hide those wires and fix those gauges.I'm getting new carpet soon and fix that console properly.inside the car very dusty as its been sitting since November 2008 checking my option for this hotwires 13 x 8 with flares or maybe not bother about it? too lazy to clean the car guys so maybe after i get my hilux diff maybe another 2 months??

bought a ke20 and it came with a shell that was stripped back 2 metal and etch primed plans are to paint the shell candy blue and swap all parts from the running rusty running car in2 the shell ...thats what I'm focusing on now then later goin 2 focus on motor and all that.... heres the shell 4 now,camera ran out of battery 2day so ill put photos up of the car tomorrow....got 1 photo from my phone ....

At the moment its in primer and I'm going for the cheaper option and i'm gonna paint it matte black, Maybe 2 tone with lime green on the bottom, not sure. So going back maybe five months I found this. It was parked on the side of the road, so I went and knocked on a few doors and after dealing with some very "different" people I ended up buying this KE70 panelvan. My mates were into drifting, so this was going to be the token pig. Still is. Work on the pig began, so out came the power house 4KC, by this stage I had registered it and accumulated many parts. Luckily I sold the 4K and K50 for two bottles of Jim Beam, these helped me muchly. So I was left with a hole to fill. I blew the standard diff within 2 nights of owning the car, got another standard one for the time. Well, I'm at it again. With the introduction of the Evo 2 Corolla, sadly the original car just doesn't cut it anymore. :( Don't get me wrong, it goes competently enough for what it is, but I have stumbled upon an opportunity to have the car I've always wanted. A week and a half ago I purchased for the right price an ex-hillclimb KE20 with a 2TG, T50 and a Celica diff. I now intend to build a TE27 Replica. Why do this when I already have a TE37 replica? Alright just bought it today and it turned up at the workshop an hour ago. Its a ke70 flat front with good body bit of rust, 173,000 kms, got at wreckers yesterday, bought it today, rego also ran out yesterday but i don't mind.
