G'day everone! A friend and I have recently got our hands on a KE70, $350 and thought it was quite a steal! It needs a few things to make roadworthy (supposed new radiator hose and the rear diff is leaking) and it still has rego to Feb 09 :yes: What we're currently doing is sanding it all back and priming it ready for a new spray. Neither of us know much about the mechanical side of things and if any of you guys could give us a hand it would be greatly appreciated!! Hello all, Yeah this is my 1st time (and I may be in the wrong area as usual)... I'm happy to say that I own the good old KE70 stocky along side is the AE80 stocky, but here is my dilemma:- The KE70 has been off the road for over 5 years and slowly rotting away in my yard, I would love to get it going again but I’m lacking the money. The old girl has a loud knocking every revolution (eheh, revelation, the hell?), my guess is it’s the toque converter, it has to be loose. Hey all, i bought this KE20 from a local forum member, I intend to restore it back to as close to original as possible. I repaired some rust and panel damage in the engine bay and have painted it D3 Bamboo, i sourced a stock 3k and toyoglide etc, good radiator and stock exhaust. Everything has been installed back in the engine bay as close as i can remember to where it would have originally been. I found a bonnet and guard from another forum member and now have the car on the road. It drives awesome and is even better on fuel. I will need to rebuild the brakes soon. I have enough paint to do the entire car and i plan to gradually prep it panel for panel as i drive it…

hey guys! i need your help! i am about to buy a ke30 auto as a project and am looking to do the works to it. i think i have most of my ideas worked out except the engine. i have been offered a couple of engines and can't decide what to do. I'm not really worried about performance as such but more reliability and particularly an efi motor. the first option is an ca18de (i can always update by whacking a turbo on it later) or second option is a 1.6l worked motor (built for racing and would need to be de-tuned to make it street legal (also needs haltech computer and rings done)) from a nissan exa. Basically i started with a stocko early 70 that previous owner had painted panda style with cans, It even had a big alloy t-wing on the back,Yeew. Hey all, picked up my new car today. Its a Corolla KE30 2 door. bought it for a little price, but worth it. bought off a member here, thanks nick :D :) bought as a rolling shell, so no motor, box, tailshaft radiator ect, and no interior, well there is a Crack free dash, and some door trims lol. Has NO rust, ive had a look meself, and the only rust is surface rust where paint has been chiped, or faded a bit. Few nice bits would be, i like the paint scheme, looks smick. Hey guys thought I better make a thread for my KE30 as I have alot planned for her. Its a 1978 KE30 CS Corolla, which I bought off Fusion on here. Its done a genuine 84,000km with proof and is in generally good condition. However as you may know Ross (Fusion) had put a lot of work into the engine conversion so she isn't very granny spec anymore lol. Hey all. i used to have sprinters years ago... had 3 of them in fact, Got a lot of love for the toyota's but i went down the nissan path and got into drift. Currently have a pretty worked R32 4 door with RB25, 280 rwkw and a host of other goodies. I picked this up from wagga wagga last night, bought for $405 with a bit of rego left on it. The trip home was something else, the owners assured me that they had put fuel in it for me that morning, it was so low it didnt even make it fully into the nearest servo's driveway before coughing and spluttering (all of 1km) and stalling out completely at the pump. I killed my old (worked 3T-c 5sp, LSD... tidy) KE36 by rolling it in the forest. Was a sad, sad day. sob I wanted another KE36... ...and I found another one. Its a bit ratty, but IMPORTANTLY... everything is straight. The 3k Bigport is knackered, and was gonna be replaced by a ?T-g. For now, its getting a kinda-fresh 4K. It'll be daily driver/weekend warrior for uni next year. I am more into Handling and Stopping than BHP. As a result I have learnt HOW to get the most of these cars, and use the small amount of BHP that K engines have... Momentum, braking late, and hurling a KE at corners!! Hi all just joined up thought i would post up some pics of my New daily drive / Track beast its a 84 KE70 pretty rough atm got it cheap tho its just to drive to work and back cause my Aristo is costing to much to run the things I'm planning to do atm are put stock exhaust back on (has none on atm just stock one cut off) Sand the car back put on a new front right 1/4 gaurd and prime and paint it blue agian raise the rear a lil bit since i think its sittin on the bumpstops :y: put a nice set of rims on it put the locker i have into it then just genral tidy up of the bumpers and lights I'm lookin at changing the front lights to the other style …

Hey guys, i bought this KE55 about 2 years ago now for $100 (77,543 k's |blink|), it had a few bad patches of rust and we ending up doing some damage while out one night. So i decided i'd buy a parts car, cost me $500. Took pretty much everything off of it and then had it towed away. My mate decided he'd upgrade his 180 to an 2JZ and sold me his engine,(90,000 k's) i was pretty stoked. From there, the parts slowly started rolling in, starting with around 3k of audio gear, 1k in seats and another 5k on performance parts which include - Garrett 3076 turbo, Tial 38mm wastegate, Nismo 740cc injectors, Z32 AFM, HKS coilovers for the front with Cusco strut tops, custom NPC…

Gday everybody just letting you know i got yet another rolla this time somthing a bit different a ke20 that was advertised on here not that long ago anyway i picked it up today (thanks 71 ke20) managed to convince dad to let me put it in the shed so i can start work on it straight away. Howdy i've been into toyota's for a few years now and a while ago i had a '81' KE70 xx i had it for about 6 months and regretably sold it about 2 1/2 years ago to a guy who neglected so bad not even servicing it or washing it!! :) . Hi everyone, Just got myself a new daily as I am putting my ke30 into semi retirement, to be brought out on sundays and for a nice slow cruise every now and again. still dearly loved. Its a Ae82 1986 twin cam seca not the best pics, i'll get some more later on. Its in pretty good condition i reackon. A little bit of rust around the fuel cap and a bit on the wheel arch, nothing really bad. The interior is immaculate and it feels nice to sit in. Goes pretty good also, zippy and sits on 100kph nicely. I'm gonna do a full service this weekend and get her checked out a bit. Should be a good daily hopefully.

My 2T-B engine is seriously leaking oil, about 1 litre a day, the starter is dead, and many other problems so I've decided to move all the parts from the ae86 ( 170hp 4age, big front brakes, coilovers suspension, hydraulic handbrake, rear axle with limited slip and rollcage if it fits ) so therefore I have some questions that might already been answered, but I couldn't find it. ae86 parts, ke70 car engine, front suspension, steering components, crossmember = bolt on gearbox and gearbox crossmember = bolt on tailshaft = bolt on or does it need to be shortened? rear axle = bolt on fuel tank with built-in pump = same size, so I'll guess it will fit? anyone done th…

hey all. i been driving this around for a few months. just using it to get to and from work and the occasional bush thrash. its really become my ghetto fix car. when i got it only the headlights worked, nothing else, drivers seat was just foam and wire (mmm comfy), the drivers window didnt work, and the radio didnt work. ive got the lights working now and the window, ghetto sylezzz (pics of ghettoness later) and chucked another seat in. ive spent no money on it and don't really plan to. maybe a bunnings spray job. i need it to not get yellow stickered til mid next year so I'm trying to make it... presentable. anyway pics!

I found it on eBay with the seller advertising it as a 4age motor for sale. I contacted the seller for more info. After all questions were answered i came to the conclusion that the item for sale was infact an AE71 with a JDM Bigport 4age engine in it which was just out of rego and required minor pink slip. Went to the local council abandoned vehicle auctions the other day. It was raining fairly hard, and the auction itself is held outdoors, so only myself and two other people bothered to show up. (and they were more interested in an old tractor) Bonnet latch was stuck... council guys didn't even bother to pop it. Oh if they had.... well as some or you may know redback is going away soon ( had to upgrade to a wagon for the faimly) however i was allowed to get a project car for myself. managed to pick up a te72 out of the tradingpost got it for $250 minor surface rust in usual spots. a few small dents from something sittin on the roof for to long and same with the bonnet. needs a new clutch and some small rust holes in the bonnet. I'm still damn happy cos i got a te72 and its not in terrible condition YAY ;) ;)

Hey all. After my KE25 rego ran out, i registered a celica to drive around. Got sick of that fairly quick, so i was searching again. Saw an ae82 twinky for sale (In Town, So much more appealing) so i just had to have a look. Went and had a look, and a drive. Was very happy with it, after a quick rust check and general look over decided to buy it. He was asking 1600, but i just asked what would he be willing to take. So i ended up paying $1000.
