Well i have had this AE71 Since january 2006 and not alot has happened with it. It was bought for me to use in motorkhana's and khanacross's. Bought it with a rooted diff and a complete auto ae71 with it for the use of its diff. So in the time i have had them i have...Changed diffs over, stripped the parts car for useful pieces and sent it off to rolla heaven, Stripped un needed interior bits out of it to make it uber lightweight, sound deadener removed. I have also made a sidepipe out of the spare stock exhaust pipe. Sounds beefy but has a nasty back off sound above 4,500RPM. Wants some back pressure. I acquired a 4age requiring a rebuild (cost me a few parts off my …

After Selling my orange KE55 (stupid stupid me) i had been wanting to get myself anouther rolla for a bit of a project car. Mostly i wanted one so that i could have a go of building a tuff cammed motor by myself. Well I managed to get a 4K off the forum for $50 with a Ke70 4 Speed so all i needed was a shell to jam it into to get it running. Meanwhile one of the boys at work had bought a rusty Ke55 for a run around, in between decent cars, it got sold to one of the other workmates and now i have it. It has got so much rust over the rear wheel arches that i don't know what to do. Its a nasty yellow colour but it is running and it has a 5 speed (although it do…

What would you do with it?? I do not want to swap engines etc.........Its still for sale but if it doesnt sell soon I want to do it up. I am thinking of lowering it and put bigger wheels on it. What wheel might fit? With white walls of course. I love them!! I do not want to change to much as it is quite a rare car and I hate F&*%$ cars. I am thinking of putting a peroid right roof rack on top with an old long board or so Give me some ideas please............... Cheers Marjanne

G’day All, Perhaps you fine people can help me. I am the owner of a 1991 GTi 4AGE (100kw). In fact I have owned it since new (yes, I’m that old!) It was my first car and is still used on a semi-regular basis. However, with 250,000 klms on the clock she is getting a little tired and frayed around the edges. We investigated getting another second car and putting the GTi out to pasture (we are NEVER going to sell her, too many memories). We have rejected that idea as there is little in today’s small car market (Feista, Yaris, Polo, etc) that would match or even come close the GTi in performance. So we have decided that the GTi will get a complete over…

Hi all. This is my third foray into the world of engine building… Past experiences include 22r rebuild (was supposed to be the indestructible car… my sister rolled it doing 40kph. long story... engine still goes like a dream) and a 253 Vee-ate that was intended for a one tonner, but never made it as I couldn’t find a cab for the damn thing. This time around I am aiming some fairly unique ideas at my KE20, Sherridan. (Sherri for short…) I’ve had her for almost a year, and the stock as a rock 3K is feeling really really tired after racking up 280 thousand on the clock… Time for a makeover! The thoughts so far are as follows… 3K Block Rebuilt/Balanced (co…

okay. so basically i ended up with this car because dad grabbed it up for his own use when his motor bike was stolen. then basically i bought it off him because he no longer had a use for it and i figured it was a good first car. when we got the car it looked pretty bad. the passenger side front quarter was black from when the previous owner ran into a pole and had to have it replaced. so we got out the old spray can and silvered it so that it wasnt as bad of an eye sore. so this is basically what it looked like before. and from that point basically there was alot that needed to be done. we got a new bonnet as the one on it was sort of caved in and all. and we de…

As you might have guessed from the title I have another AE71 now. For those who don't know, deemed my other AE71 too rusty to be worthwhile registering, you can find it here: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=17235 I bought my new one about a week ago now. Its very similar to my other one (another AE71 duh) but its got a few differences. 1. Its auto :hmm: 2. Its slightly a different color silver-green as opposed to silver on the other. 3. Its only done 158,000k's. 4. Its currently registered until June. 5. Windows are tinted. Most importantly though, its got A LOT less rust. Now for some photos, these were taken on the day I went to see it:…

Hey guys, bought this last week off my mate who purchased it off the original owner two months ago. Technically it is a three owner then but oh well :hmm: The grandpa was buying a new Corolla and was gonna use this as trade in, but they only offered him $300. so my mate made an offer and subsequently bought it. Its a 1974 KE20 SE Corolla, the luxo pack hehe. Has an 'awesome' Sanyo am radio/cassette player with Sanyo speakers in the rear trims. Has 67,000km on the clock. Stock 3k, 4 speed, runs well now. Interior is near immaculate minus torn drivers seat, and a crack in the dash pad, and torn gear boot. Has all tools including little case in great conditi…

hey guys, i thought it was about time i told you all about my car, it is my first road car (i have had a few parts cars and one for khana) its a '79 ke55 hardtop. i have had it for about 12 months and in that time its received a PHAT 2" zorst with one muffler so its reasonably loud, its got ta23 celica struts and brakes so it stops... yay and its also got some 13x6.5 spitfires. The plans for it in the "near" future are a plained bigport 3k head(should be next week and lowering. in the not so neer future (hopefully mid next year) it will be getting a 2tze, the engine will consist of a mildly modifyed 2tc with efi off a 2tg and a sc12 of a 4agze, all this will be trans…

Hey all, After deciding to get stuck into rebuilding Sherridan, the KE20, I went looking for an engine to freshen up. I found a 4K from a liteace in the Quokka and went to have a look... turns out the guy selling had a 1989 T-18 for sale too... seeing as my budget was fairly limited, i didn't bother asking the price he was after. From what i remembered, getting one cheap with as many parts as he had just wasn't a possibility. Anyways, after deciding that the 4K had too much water in the block, we were about to bid him 'farewell, but no thanks' when my girlfriend, Jo, recommended asking what he wanted for the TE... Turns out $600 is good for a car with 5 mont…

Hey everyone, i'm new to this forum so i'm sorry if this topic has been discussed before I was just recently given a 1976 Corolla that I believe may be a TE31 because of the VIN number, my guess is that it's the TE31? correct me if i'm wrong, because i'd really like to know. Anyways, there's absolutely nothing in the car, it's really just a rolling chassis. I was wondering where I may find parts to restore the car as well as upgrades to the suspension like coilovers, sway bars, etc I'm intending to put an N/A L28 engine from an 83 280zx which is about to get an engine swapped for itself, tell me what you guys think Here's some pictures of the car:

Hay boys and girs I'm new to this club and have a difficult question to ask of you. what colour and style should i go with on me beautifull ke55. keep in mind that its a 4-door and has ke30 door skins, the ones that leave the top of the door exposed to match the colour of the body. don't lough but when i first got it i did it in tool box bluefor $43.50. i thought it was a bargen at the time but didnt think it would be so hard to strip in the end but its all good now the car was taken back to bear steel, dents were filled, the war on rust was victorious and all panels were made flush. only took me and my mate Gilly, Oh about 5 months . Yes, I've finally pulled my finger out, and Bluey is on the hoist at Chateau de Wayno's. It rolled in at 1400hrs yesterday, and work started half a stubbie later. Engine and box are out, interior out, body deadener out (mostly), and a certain amount of body ugliness found. New front left guard and valence panel sourced (thanks Fook!). If people want I'll post progress pics as we go. Here's a couple to get started..... Engine out, average front end.....
