Hi guys, I'm looking at buying a Ke30 finally, I've wanted one since I was about 6. I'm going to look at it on the weekend and if all goes well, I'm hoping to make it mine. The car is in fairly stock form, including the 3k. Now I have a few questions. Firstly, what are the main things to look for/common areas to keep an eye on when purchasing a Ke30? I've already been informed of rust, which I know is common, especially along the bottom of the doors. Anything extra would be much appreciated. Secondly, how is the 3k motor for things like reliability, fuel consumption etc. I ask because the car will be my daily. My first car was a Ke70 with a stock 4k, but that…

hi all I'm liam very new to this site . well i will jump to it i am looking at buying my first corolla and really want a ke70 flat front with the qaud circle lights. i have been reading the forums and know u can do the conversions to make them like that but all the ke70's i have found have all been out of my price range . now i have stumbled across a ae71 and want to know can i still do the flat front and quad lights conversion on it and is it as good as a ke. then the next problem is need to make it manuel and just want to know where to go and how much its going to cost i live in brisbane as well so any help on this would be much appricated

Hey Guys, I have a issue with my 4k ke70 I'm trying to get sorted asap as i need my car for work. All of a sudden without any reason Ill start the car and it will drive and idle fine, then all of a sudden ill pull up at the lights the second i let the car go back to idle rpm it just dies on me it fires straight back up and runs rough for a while, then ill pull up at the next set of lights and it will be running fine or with a slight miss or it will continually die on me for a while. Ill shut the car off either it will fire up and run and idle no dramas or it will run like crap and start stalling on idle, if i keep the revs up the car doesnt die only on idle but it…

ok so maybe a weird question.. I am wanting to know how far a standard 4age will actually rev to in standard form with all rev limiters disconnected. I am wondering if it will actually reach its blow up point or not for tuning purposes. EDIT: AE92 smallport original rev limiter 7800 i think from hours of looking yesterday. what is usually its first problem? valve springs/bottom end?

would like to bulid a te-27 for group nc, a toyota mechanic at muscle car masters said they came out here as te-25. i though they were te-27. you can bulid replicas. anybody know who i can contact, about information be it in the club or at toyota. hope sombody can help. cheers mick

hey guys, I'm currently running a razorback ecu on a 4age 20v in a ke70, fair bit of work done to her, she is N/A. i was told by mates etc that if i got a proper aftermarket ecu like a haltech or adaptronic etc i would get much more power if this is the case does anyone know what sort of ecu plus where i could get the wiring done ? (local tuner ? etc? ) thanks guys :)

hey guys i caught a lead about this crown its been sitting in the same spot for ever, i beleive its a s50 crown, made drom 69-mid 70's 4speed 5r engine with matching numbers... the guy is firm on $1500 as , just wondering what it might actually be worth? it have a little rust noting that can't be bogged.

Can someone confirm if a shock cartridge for a KE70 will fit in a KE55 front Strut. Also i need 3.9 diff gear for a borg warner in KE55, What gears out of what cars will fit in this housing ? thanks for feedback

just driving in mount isa and saw an old corolla sitting in an old wreckers yard..as i walked through i found this place to be a treasure trove of old corollas..there are about 20 or 30 different models ranging from ke20's to 70's. most of the old cars are complete with all running gear, motors are all in working order, and mags and rims coming out of the wood work everywhere. panels, clips, cables and most parts are all there on most models..if interested contact me and ill put you in [email protected] chrissso

ok i have a very tidy 1993 redtop smallport map sensor version and I'm putting it in a 1882 tercel 4x4 for a laugh also have a rb20 turbo and manifold for 4age bosch 044 surge tank intercooler etc what is the limitations with the ecu on these? can i put it on and run any boost on the stock ecu at all with a rising rate regulator and 98 octane fuel its all just for a bit of fun really don't want to waste heaps on a aftermarket ecu was hoping to get away with a rising rate regulator and a dodgey extra injector can you run gze injectors or any upgrade like that with the stock ecu? any info would be great thanks

Silly me has only just got the car with one key and I've locked it inside after finishing work on it. Any ideas how to get into it without damaging anything. New paint and overrated chrome so don't want to hurt anything. Interior lock is in a bitch of a place so can't get to it with wire. Tried a few other keys but no such luck. Cheers

Hi Everyone, I have an AE92 Sedan (AE94 Actually) with a 4AFE..i have been contemplating several options for an Engine swap for awhile now and ultimately decided to do a 4AGE 20V swap. the way i plan to go about it, is to buy a front cut and go from there. now i can go about putting the engine in..but with the loom and the under dash wiring i am not so confident.. in terms of plugging the loom into "Speedo gauge, air con, steering wheel column....heck the whole lot!" plain an simply i CAN do the engine bay part...thats a simple swap including the wiring HOWEVER; I would NOT have a clue as to how to wire it under the dash to make it work with the ex…

I am wanting to bring some life back into the old paintwork of my KE55, at the moment it's red paint work is well weathered and lost pretty much all sheen. Has anyone used the Meguiars Restoration kit to restore some life to old paint work. I will eventually get the entire body resprayed but for the moment I am just looking at getting her a little more presentable. The body does have 30yrs worth of stone chips and the odd rust spot but nothing really massive and would look so much better if the paint got a bit of TLC. Worth the money on Meguiars, or does anyone have any other ideas? I have always just used kitten cut and polish and wax, but have seen/heard good thing…

Hey my mate bought a ke16 with out a fuel tank and no locking parts like latches . I need photos of the tank ,spare tire hanger ,tailgate locks and where the rear seat locks in . I think ke26 parts are similar from photos that i found searching the site Any help would be great Thanks Greg

Hey guys, really struggling to find a 5k head for my 5k build. I have put up a WTB thread, hit up eBay and gumtree, and just about every wrecker within 100km of myself. My question (apart from "do you have a 5k head to sell me!?") is: What other suppliers are there that I could try? Hey guys just bought myself a new ke70 and I'm trying to install my amp and sub but the problem is i don't know how to take my rear seats out haha help would be good cheers.

so after quickly googling this topic, the results were inconclusive.... some people reckoned the engine would explode due to oily vapors in the crankcase igniting, some people reckoned it would be fine, and someone even suggested filming and should it blow up then we will prove why you shouldn't weld a sump on an engine for once and all. the problem: the driver of the car ran over a truck tailshaft at speed, ripping a hole in the lower sump (steel) and some other damage underneath. no oil in engine, and the driver was not able to pull over straight away, so unsure if engine damage has occurred. obviously oil is needed in the engine to run it in order to work out w…

planning on doing a 4agze engine conversion can i just remove the supercharger and put my turbo setup on I'm using a steam pipe manifold and a rb20 turbo not after any huge power will the 4agze ecu and injectors be ok on 10 psi? is there any problems doing this?

need ideas on what wheels to run on my ke-25 resto project. i was thinking of running 15 x 6 superlites or 13 x 7 rebel road wheels, 205/ 60 tyres might be a problem for 13 inch rims. cheers mick

Hey guys this is my 2001 Au II SR falcon forte, with the 4l intech straigh 6 From about half throttle onwards, it makes a sucking/whistling noise. Heres a video from 80-100km at half throttle, to let you know what i mean. What is this noise?Any ideas?

Does Ke70 Panel Van guards fit onto the wagon? might sound a little silly, but on the 808 wagon to 808 sedan the door don't line up and stuff....
