Hey all, I had a white 83 KE70 flat front, 4 speed 4kc with around 160k on the clock, small amount of damage on the front left 1/4 panel, and an almost immac blue interior. Traded it in at an essendon car dealership around September 2010, number plate at the time was BTD591. Anyone here buy this car? Or know what happened to it? Any info would be freakin sweet! Nick

hey guys I'm about to have a look at a mkII corona, its pretty cheap for 400, its complete and unregistered etc but it is the 4m 2.6 straight 6 engine to a manual box, which i hear is pretty rare. 4 door version. just wondering if anyone on here has had past or present experience with them ? weak points common faults etc. would parts be hard to fiind if the engine is shagged or will it be worth it to just drop another 6 in it ? any and all feedback is welcome, my logic is, its rare, looks cool, don't see it everyday and is prety dammn cheap :)

Hey guys, Some of you would know I got a minor defect for rims sticking out body work. The cop also made a comment about track being to wide. I went on the dtei website, and the maximum track width is 40mm shorter then the diff width? I'm alittle confused about this, I think I'll end up having to do more guard work. But I'm confused how maximum track is less than started widths. Would be good of any one can clear this up. Thanks

I've just been chatting to one of the guys and thought I'd copy this over and anyone else can add more ideas. I find that buying a car and having a garage do a service on it leaves a lot missing, so the more you can do the better. Things to do when you buy a car- Get a little notebook. Write down date & Km of last service. Keep the notebook for as long as you have the car and write down all the things you do. Jack up a front wheel, feel for bearing wear by shaking it vertically then steering wear by shaking it horizontally. This will be on Youtube somewhere I'm sure. Take off the wheel & little bearing cover and check for grease in the wheel bea…

The oil light in The Girl's KE70 is coming on just under 1000rpm, I'd say 900rpm really. With the grumbly idle its up and down all the time as it peaks at 1000rpm then drops, so the light is on more than its off. A quick oil change of 10W40 to 20W50 had no effect, so I'm thnking of putting a new oil pump on the list. Repco don't even list one nowdays... Anyone have a better idea of what pressure the light comes on at, and how that effects the runnng pressure?? Anyone had to replace an oil pump recently? Any advance on a stock 4K pump for better oil delivery? Same pump in a 7K??

Yo, With the upcoming arrival of my blower kit, I am trying to sort out my rwd stuff and the main thing I am concerned about is the top water outlet as the blower sits right next to it and the hose has to go around the belt area. Does anyone have a top water outlet from a rwd 4age I can borrow so I can see if it will fit? Item in question: http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?title=File:Top_Rad_Outlet.jpg Blower setup in 86:

Hey guys. I'm looking at buying a KE70 from a guy in NSW, I have run in to a few problems with the transferring problems. The Rolla has had a 4AGE conversion, it comes with a fair bit of NSW reg. I live in Queensland. The car doesn't come with a NSW Roady. Can I keep that reg to transfer to QLD? Will I need modplates to get the car to QLD reg? If I could get a rundown of everything I need to do that would be awesome. Thanks in advance, Ben.

Shannons Supercar Showdown is back! After a very successful first year, which included overseas awards and recognition, 7mate are proud to announce that the Shannons Supercar Showdown is back for another action-packed season of motorsport! Last year’s winner, 17 year old Cameron Waters, became the youngest driver to ever attend the ‘Great Race’ AKA the Bathurst 1000. Waters piloted the Shannons Mars racing car with vigor, but sadly retired from the race. A great moment during the race was when Waters over steered heavily on exit, looping his V8 Supercar but managing to recover it with incredibly fast counter steering. Here’s a clip of the hairy moment. …

Gday guys, just wanting confirmation of how the hoses are run. I have just replaced the leaking heater core in the new twinky and really hoping someone can post a pic, or help me out with this. Its been a long time between twinkies. I made a crude diagram of the basic pre thermostat heater components (throttle body heater tap, heater core and thermostat housing). Ill post another of how mine is plumbed, any help is greatly appreciated (cmo carbonboy and trev). Cheers in advance guys, Luke.

Hi, This is my first post. I've got a 1980 ke38 wagon that I'm slowly modifying to make it a more enjoyable ride. I'm not trying to build a tire shredder, just something that handles reasonably well and is comfortable to drive everyday. Am keen on doing a swap to a 7k as well. Having a bit of trouble sourcing one though (if everyone has got one, with the 5spd manual transmission, let me know!) I'm looking for a new set of wheels to put on it and have come across a pair of SSR MK1s that I think should look pretty good on it. I'm just wondering if there's any issues with the offset on a wheel like this with the old ke models. I know it will have a lot to do …

The action wasn’t happening all inside the dome this year. The guys from All Stars turned it up a notch by gracing the walkway into MotorEx with a plethora of cars – stuff ranging from JDM through to stanced-out VIP rides. Honda Civics with the right wheels and ride height certainly still look awesome. Both of these examples were wearing quality wheels and were both very US-inspired. A sacked Aurion, parked behind an Integra and then on to numerous hot rods and a Trans Am? This is what you can expect at MotorEx. It’s rare to see all so many different car cultures unite and park side by side to be appreciated. The All Stars boys really rounded up a great …
