Howdy! At the moment i have my ae86 sitting on the front lawn with a standard 4ac in it with a busted head... either cracked/warped or blown head gasket, as there is steam coming out of the exhuast, it misses and when i crank it with no plugs it shoots water out the holes.. hahaha Luckily for me, when i bought the car it came with another head that had been rebuilt, port n polished, fitted with dual valve springs and had the compression raised. It also has a custom ground cam in it too(I'm going to find out what the specs are soon). I also received manifold with two fully rebuilt weber carbs on it. I am unsure of what the carbs are though.. is there any markings o…

Hi, I am having trouble chasing a set of new flexible rubber hose for my KE15 sprinter and I was thinking KE20 brake lines might fit as there the same calipers so the rest of the hose should fit. But Just to see if it will better I am chasing the part number for KE2X brake lines for the front left and right lower hose and upper hose both parts of the flexible hose so caliper to strut strut to wheel arch where it then joins the solid line. Cheers Cameron

Hello Folks, I hope you will bear with me a bit. Newbie here. I am struggling with problems with an Aisin 2 barrel carb on 4K-C engine. Truth be told....on an 81 Starlet, not a Rolla....but hope someone here might lend a hand. Found out about this forum over at Toyotanation. Just finished rebuilding this little gem. Have about 1000 miles on it and it was running like a top, although I did notice it would start immediately with manual choke, then would hit fast idle as choke pushed off. However, it would then go through this strange phase of even higher RPMs for a bit, then automatically decrease RPMs to hit steady slow idle. Good power going down the road and great mi…

i'm wondering if anyone can help me work out what struts i have in my corolla... i had assumed it was all sprinter running gear, but when i tried to fit up KE70 steering arms to my struts the locators miss by about 3mm (wider on my struts)... i've been assured that KE70/sprinter do bolt up, and have been led to believe that my car may be using RA40 celica struts instead of sprinter... the steering arms in my car are marked R8/L8 in the casting if that helps... any help in confirming or denying this info would be appreciated..

Guys, I took my 5K for a burn yesterday and it got too hot. I got the radiator cleaned out (about 30 percent blocked) and today it still overheated, although it took longer and a much more energetic drive to do so. I've front mounted a davies craig thermo. I'm getting a lot of "blowback", lots of air bouncing off the radiator and pushing forwards. Yes, before you ask the fan is running in the correct direction. Has anyone ever seen a shroud on the front of a rad? I don't like the idea because you lose a lot of open road airflow, but in this case it will definitely improve the fans effectiveness. Any other ideas on how to get the temp down?

i've just finished a 4AG conversion into my ke35... doing some testing over the last few days, i've sheared my rear brake line twice. when the engine revs it rocks to the drivers side of the car and the rear of the inlet manifold just touches the rear brake line right where it exits the master cylinder. just wondering if anyone has had this problem too, and how they fixed it I'm currently trying to find if there is an alternate master cylinder that bolts onto the later model ke3x brake booster, but is narrower (giving me more clearance between brake line and inlet manifold) or has downward facing brake line outlets.

G,day new to the rollaclub, Just a enquiry i recently came to the problem of wheel choices for my ke20 and having the older 110 pcd less wheels available. The 114 theres heaps of variety so the equiry is as i use an newer say ke55 for the front wheels just change the front discs. The issue with the rear drums? Do i get like a back axle off a 30 or 55 70 model and use that? woulod that work or be wider or is there simply an easy walkthrough or something? cheers Paul

Hi, Been doing some reading on Toyota ECU's and found there are a few types of ECU. Analouge and Digital. The old Analogue ones were on the motors like 4K-E and 3t engine etc. It is the L-jetronnic made by Bosch. Now later ones are the TCCS type which are digital eg. 4age. Now I know the 7K-E injections was made later than 4K and the pin out is similar on the 7K one to the 4age one. Can any one tell me for certain if the 7K ECU is of the newer TCCS type? Also does anyone have the 7K-E manual handy I can get emailed? Cheers Cameron

Decided to get new Tie rod ends for my KE70 as ill be running XT130 arms and the extra thread would be nice for adjustments. SO got meself some RA40 ends, went to put them on and realised the 70 ones are a single piece end and Tube. Doh! So off the wreckers i go, Found a RA60. took the tubes and ends and proceeded home. This morning i went to fit the RA60 tubes to the RA40 ends to fit to the KE70 Rack...Pheww :DD. BUT. it seems the Tubes from the RA60 are longer by about 3cm. and to top it off the tie rod ends only screw in half way. making the RA60 RA40 combo like and inch and half too long!!. So back off to find something else. Got some KE30 tubes now.. …

G'day all, I own a 1980 ke55 square headlight model, and I want to put some mags on it. So I would like to know which mags will bolt straight on without any modifications or interfearence to the suspension. I was thinking about early supra mags, something that looks tough. I picked up a 5k on the weekend that has the numbers cast 24010-211, which isnt on the FAQ but seem to be close to the 3k bigport head. It doesnt have the protrusions from 1 and 4 plug holes either. Does anyone know what that casting means? For the moment ill just assume its a 3k bigport head. I will be pulling the motor down next week anyway because it has a bit of blowby and could do with a build anyway by the sound of it. Ill keep you all posted on what I find, but in the meantime does anyone know FOR CERTAIN what the numbers mean? Thanks guys!
