hi , am just wondering what is an easy replacement fit for a ke10 brake master cylinder. i have heard of a mazda one being a close fit. preferably want to fit a twin port master cylinder . Can anybody who has done this give me some tips. i don't want to modify the firewall too much . thanks

I'm running a 4K 1300 ke 20 and I can't seem to get the car to start eventually i can but its taking ages like 15minutes of be pedal down and pumping with the choke on and off. I poped the bonnet and i expected the new fuel filter i bought to be full of fuel but its half full so am i right in assuming theres a blockage somewhere in the fuel lines? any advice or tips or the solution would be much appreciated guys or if it could be something else... cheers

Hey rolla guys just enquiring for some expert advice i have a 1971 toyota corolla ke20 with a 4k 1300 engine outtta a 81 model just enquring when i stop running the car the engine contines to run and slowly then die out some have to kick it over again and then turn it off second quiry is that i having trouble witht the starting of the car the racq guy told me to upgrade the fuel filter because i having bit of gunk getting caught in the fuel lines thats why its dieing anyone with any advice or tips would be much appreciated.. cheers guys

Hey all, i have been researching, but maybe not enough i recently got an oil catch can, i have seen on this site on how to install them on a carby but not EFI I have an EFI 5k Turbo setup, there are 2 outlets on the rocket cover one in the middle and one towards the end (firewall) the middle one isn't connected to anything and neither is the back on it just has that check valve (one way valve) the problem i had is when i connected the middle hose to the EFI on de acceleration it was sucking oil from the engine into the manifold and blowing an insane amount of smoke! i have an oil catch can but not sure where to connect everything to. the way i …

after thinking about a manual conversion and after seeing a pedal box for $200 wtf i was wondering is it possible to use a ke70 pedal box? and then use it for the hydraulic conversion? And are ther any other pedal boxes beside ae71 or t-18 that can be used? Cheers Bill

hey all... got a problem with my rear suspension setup on my ke. for starters it has sierra short stroks and cut kings (free height 220mm). the thing is my mate has the exact same setup and his is a bit bumpy but not over the top. where as my ke is like a friggin jumpin castle on wheels. i have put in some cut stock springs in (free height 300mm) and still the same :wink: if any one has any ideas/suggestions on what to try it would help heaps cheers luke

Hey. On my 5K, there is a hose going from the rocker cover to the air filter. Somewhere on this site I've seen someone get rid of the hose and just chuck an oil breather on. Is there a reason the oil is going into the air filter? Is it better to chuck on an oil breather? And is it legal? I ask because my exhaust fumes or something smell kinda oily and there is a bit of oil slowly building up around the start of the hose on the rocker cover. Cheers. G'day, I'm deciding on a brake upgrade for my new rolla, not bothered on the rears but for the front i want vented brakes. i have mx62 cressida front struts, unfortunately they have the wrong king pin angle, (axle is on a different angle) the same also goes for ra60 struts, but i have found a conversion that uses, mx62 callipers, ra60 rotors and hubs and xt130 struts seen bellow, This conversion uses a mixture of Toyota parts which are pretty easy to find at a wreckers. Outers are KE70 standard items off my car, went to put my ae86 struts on with the inners that are supposidly ae86 p/s arms but they don't fit the ae86 struts. they bolt up to the ke70 standard struts fine though and are shorter.. anyone come across this before?

hey umm i brought a ae71 of LE|garage of here and it has its small problems it will sometimes idle in drive others it wont and the brokes barly work helps cuz I'm going to kill myself soon :hmm:

hey guys I'm building a 1ggte ke70 and its obvious the stock diff will not handle the power I'm just gonna save my self the hassle now and get onto the diff, i have been looking around a bit and r31 sound like it could be a goer i don't want to break the bank i just want something thats pretty easy to convert over to.

Ok well i got my 4k turbo running now it is blowing a shitload of smoke out of the exhaust and onluy running on two cylinders does anyone know what is wrong:S

Well i got to change the head gaskeyt on my 4k and just wondering if i jsut undo all the bolts under the rocker cover and it should just leaver off? bloody hasnt been changed in a while one of the bolts snapped :y: so now i gotta get that off

hey everyone i just got myself a cheap ea falcon wagon. anyway the speedo works, but the odometer doesnt. so how would i go about fixing this? would i need a replacement guage/cluster or is it an easy fix does anyone know? -Alex

Hey guys, i've got a stock KE30 (3K-C) and i'll be changing the engine over to a 4K soon. When i've got the engine bay clear i want to take out the old rusted brake master cylinder and replace it with a different/stronger one. Is there a brake mc that's cheap/reliable/stronger and easy to fit? How would i go about it? Do i need a kit? What about the actual rotors as well? Is it easy/legal to change the brake rotors to larger ones? Can someone help me out? Keep in mind that i'm not a pro, i'm only learning as i go... :yes: Cheers - Josh.

I psoted this in car electrical but thought i would post here cos need a response quick haha Well ive just added my turbo to my 4k and now when i turn the key on the ignition it turns over for a few clicks but sounds flat but the battery is charged and i have also tried jumpstarting it and it still wont click over properly :y: Does anyone know what the problem could be? help would be appreciated because car wont start

hey guys i am looking to upgrade the carby on my 5k i was really wanting to go sidedrafts but i simply can't afford it at the present time. i have been looking into the webber side of things for it. the motor is fully ballenced with standard bottom end hydrolic lifters and all. it is running a lumpy as hell cam (unsure of specs as there are no new markings on there to identify what cam profile or who did it) a proted, polished and shaved 4k head, coby headers into a 2" freeflow exhaust.(and is fully rebuilt under 5,000kms ago) the webber i have come accross is a webber an old guy here in my home town (in NZ) there is a stamping on the side of it saying "34 DCHD" a…

Hi all, I currently have a 3K in my KE10, but have a 5K on the way. Can I use the 3K rocker cover on the 5K?? I want to do this because the 3K rocker cover has the old Toyota symbol on it, where as the 5K is blank. This is going to take a bit of explaining so here goes; Got my 32/32 weber on the car and the adapter plate has a hole through it that is a long oval but the manifold that it connects to has two small circular holes. So the air from the carby goes through the adapter then hits the inlet manifold where it has to go through 2 holes and hits a bridge of metal in the middle. Now my mechanic has suggested I take to the inleft manifold with a file/hacksaw or something similar and turn the 2 holes into one oval as per the adapter plate. This is supposed to decrease the air flow restriction and give me more power essentially for free! Sounds good to me. Does this make sense t…

Hey folks, I pulled apart a 4K nippondenso dizzy tonight to get a good idea of the advance weights etc. I'm going to take a punt at recurving the thing myself. The cam plate has stamped in it 4G. From my reading, it seems a common thing with some dizzy's that you can get different cam plates to change your total advance etc. Does anyone know: - If there are different cam plates available to fit and where would I find the part numbers OR - If this particular dizzy is used on other cars (ie - I might be able to pull apart other ones to get the guts and maybe find new cam plates!!)
