as the title says i need quick help to adjust the beam headlights

Was just wondering what is the best and most effective way to get more power out of a k motor? eg. supercharger, turbo, efi or anything else that anyone knows of. I'll hopefully be running into some money soon so i wanted to do up my engine without doing a full blooded conversion. so whats the ultimate upgrade?

Hey guys I'm going to be building a custom exhaust soon and will be looking for a muffler that will keep me legal but barely, 94 db is the limit i think. So what mufflers have you guys got, likes/dislikes etc. Looking for something that flows nicely, non restrictive.

Have a look at these pictures - I was just reading THIS THREAD and there was some dispute over whether or not to replace flywheel bolts. Personally, I've always been a fan of replacing, and the one time I didn't, the damn flywheel fell off. Today I had to get some longer flywheel bolts, so I whacked a thread gauge on the old one to check the pitch. While not paying much attention to what I was doing, I couldn't seem to get a thread to match. On closer inspection I found..... Here's another picture, it actually sticks out like dogs balls! Gday all. I spent a bit of time yesterday rooting around putting a sump baffle in my 5K sump, after reading a post about oil starvation issues. Mine's fairly crude, I got inspiration from the LS1 aftermarket sumps down at the local speed shop. I was originally going to run a vertical one halfway down the sloped face of the pan, but this one was easier to braze in. It's got a narrow gap underneath at the back, so oil will still flow through, It's just to slow the oil down as you accelerate. After all it's not a racecar Anyone else tried it with a K series sump? You'll notice I had a bit of trial and error notching the front of the baffle to fit the oil…

Having problems i think my cam timing is out,can only get it to run smooth at about 20 degress advanced. Its mildish 4k with tighe 154 grind cam webers etc The harmonic balancer has three marks on it for some reason two on outer edge and one on the inside edge of the pulley :jamie: Whats the best way to check it with out pulling it a part ? thanks inadvance rob :P

hey people just wanting to know if ke30 struts and brakes will fit onto a ke17 sprinter? just as a quick upgrade. from what i can see they run a leaf spring from side to side. if it can be done could this leaf be removed?

Does anybody have any official or rough figures or fuel consumption? L per 100k's?

hi am going to fit girlock calipers from a ke30 to my ke20. I know i need to drill and tap the holes. Question is do i need to buy the ke30 hub and discs or can i use my ke20 ones. i know i definitely need the backing plate so i can mount the caliper. Can anyone clear it , whether i need the hub and discs, also

-Ok the facts The engine is a 5k put in by previous owner . I know it has at least a lumpy cam in it but can't tell you anything else . lately at high revs.... or when shes warm.... she ticks unfortunately my stereo isnt all that great so i can't turn it up loud enough to drown the noise Is there a quick fix or is it a little more serious ? thanks LAUREN

Ok, so I definitely know that I have a backfiring issue, going through my exhaust. Now, all I know is these issues, this is on a 3-TC motor with stock carb. Car Idles at roughly 1000-1100 RPMs Car seems to run rich Back fire happens backing off the throttle Help is appreciated in figure out what my problem is. I've changed these parts: New NGK Plugs New Wireset New Distributer Cap New Distributer Rotor MSD Blaster 2 Coil Header back exhaust installed I'm thinking it's just that my car news a carburetor adjustment and/or timing adjusted, but I'm not sure right now. ok rolla members before we all get mad about this topic i have searched everywhere all over the site and none the wiser ok my dillema is... I have been given a tacho and i have hooked up the wires so when i put my lights on the tacho light will light up :y: and the iginition switches on but i havent actually got the tacho reving which is the problem i have a solering iron and wires ready to be hooked up what i gather is that i need to earth one wire then my question is does the other wire go to the distruber or what do i hook up that wire too any help would be much appreciated s i have been completely racking my brain for answers rolla members any help would be super…

I have an Aisin clutch master cylinder from a late 70's model celica ill be using on my panelvan, it was already in the car when i got it but had been leaking at some stage so the firewall etc is a lil bit eaten around the clutch master. anyway I'm wanting to know of any places in melbourne that can re-seal/re-sleeve my clutch master. i found a place in the US that can supply me with a brand new one but with the aus $$ the way it is atm it wuld cost me $110 just in postage to get it here, so rebuilding the master seems to be the better option. any help would be great! cheers.

Hey guys, I'm installing the air con back into my girlfriends ke70 and have a couple of things i'm not so sure with how they run through the engine bay without interfering with other things. I've had a bit of a search and found teddy's "Installing air con into a ke70 that didn't come out from factory with it", but i'm pretty sure i'm missing the hard line that goes from the "out" side of the receiver to the top metal bit on the cooling unit. But just to make sure on how things go, is there anyone out there still running air con in there ke70 that could take a few detailed pics from there engine bay just to make sure i've got it how it's meant to be? i have a 32 Dar 6 weber with 24 and 26 on the barrels would it be worth putting it on standard 4k? i have to get some extractors at some point in time due to the mounting face on the manifold being pitted getting sick of replacing manifold gaskets every 2 months oh yeah the weber is off a 1.6 renault ts-18 cheers Damon

Hi, I have at home a KE1X door hinge and I want to rebush it again. Now I need to use the old pin again so need to remove it with out cutting / drilling etc. How have others gone about doing this? I couldn't get it to move with a punch and hammer the other day so not sure what to try next. But I have penetrating oil on it now to see if that helps. Cheers Cameron

Hey. With some encouragement from the boys on the last WA cruise, I'm thinking about cutting the stock springs on my KE70. Just wondering what peoples experiences are with doing this... good.. bad.. advantages.. disadvantages. Just wondering if anyone is running a slightly larger profile set of cams in their 4AGE on a standard computer and can give me a no-bullshit take on how it drives? With everything there is always a tolerancebuilt into the std computer, but I'm used to GM products, and mostly carbies, not japanese ECUs and Fuel injection. Ive read just about anything and everything I could find on the net, but its hard to make a judgement without driving one yourself and seeing if it "works" with the STD computer. hi I'm just wondering if anyone has replaced there ke10 rear wheel cylinders with ke20 ones. Will they fit straight in. Its just i have replaced my ke10 master cylinder to a tandem 11/16 and wanna run bigger wheel cylinders. to my knowledge ke20 run and 11/16 master cylinder so I'm thinking the rear wheel cylinders would match my new ones. Can anyone confirm if they fit or have done this pls

Hi, In the process of mucking around with a set of mags for me KE15 sprinter and need some information. Now I know it is illegal to run rims that have a larger center hole than what your hub does. As it needs to be contacting this to transfer load though the hub and not the bolts attaching the wheel to the hub. Now the question is the center hole in a car rim what is the size difference/ industry standard for fit. EG is the hub on the car 60mm then the wheel 60.01 or a tighter fit or a looser fit. I'm looking into getting some inserts machined up for my rims and pressed into the rim to reduce the hole size but I need to work out a good size for the inser…

hello all, I'm thinking of putting a ca20 pintara diff in my corolla because iv heard good things about them (strength ETC) . i was wondering if that would be extremly difficult and would i get away with a deeper in wheel and rolled guards ( I'm talking about shortning the diff) . and also are the axles in them good? because I'm going to be running a mini spool :doh: i no I'm a cheap bastard :laff:

Hey Guys I am fitting some XT130 LCAs, the Castor Arm is just .5mm out of wack and will not jsut drop in. Is there a trick? or do I NEED Castor Arms from an RT or similar??????\ Cheers MIke

G'day my mates car is fitter with an external waist gate, it had a 16 psi spring, but unfortunately rb30e's don't like 16 psi with a stock computer, so he has brought a 6.6? psi spring and we fitted it, it was a fraction smaller in diameter and about 2cm shorter but still well captive when fitted, our problem is we have fitted it but its venting to atmosphere on idle, its not making boost according to the gauge but flutters when you back off we are planing on taking it off and checking every thing tomorrow night but can any one give us any pointers? thanks casey

Hey guys, my old man's having a bit of trouble with his stock '91 Corolla Seca. The engine i'm pretty sure is a 4A-C, it's a transverse twin cam carburetted engine. It's done roughly 270,000km's and it's auto. The small problems have only recently increased in severity, they are: * Won't kick into gear at 80km/h unless you let go of the accelerator * When i'm travelling at 75-80km/h and accelerate hard it "kicks back" a gear but struggles to get past 80km/h * When the engine's just been started, it wont allow use of the overdrive function (despite driving over 80km/h) * When the engine's just been started and transmission moved into Drive, it will roll about for 4-…

reviving an old thread... (split from http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=7353) my 4k just started doing similar things this evening... i heard a popping noise then a bit of a hiss after that, i had troubles accelerating. Basically any time i placed load on the engine i had troubles... free revving seems to be ok, but idle is pretty wierd. when i stopped the car, there were some smoky fumes coming from the engine bay. could i have cracked my exhaust manifold? any ideas what else it could be in my case? head gasket? loss of compression in a cylinder?

hi have justed fitted my ke10 with a tandem master cylinder and have a geniune toyota clucth master cylinder in its box still. is it possible to fit this to the car which is running a ke35 5spd running a k motor . My main concern is can a slave cylinder be fitted somewhere with out to many dramas. if anyone has done so pictures would be appreciated .
