finally got me hot little hands on a ke11 6/70 ami built model. I don't know a great deal about these cars, but this was a good score, and ive always wanted one. Starter motor is shagged so i have replaced it the sarvo and got her running. it has a warm 3k with k40 4 spd and jap diff. Has had front brakes upgraded and been told its ke 20 hubs and rotors with ke35 discs. rear has reset king spring leafs. still retains ke10 front leaf interior seems pretty straight forward and original with ke20 seats in the front and everything else stock. door cards and parcel shelf have been cut out for speakers:( at the moment it runs well but will need a bit of mecha…

hey lads heres my project, bought for a measly amount off a mate who had it garaged for 5years, i had sold my last perfect 35 and wanted another that i could molest a little instead of keeping it bog standard. The car was bought with a dinted drivers door, boot and car full of useless shit, zero rust and no motor or box, plus a whinging diff. I played around with it for a while, picked up a ke36 pano with a 3tgte, t50 and ford 9" and slotted the motor and box in, hated the whole setup and how it was done, and what was needed to be done, when a 5k would have been much more easier for rego and time and cost. picked up a cheap ke70 with a good compression5…

But seeing as I live 70kms from it and never get time to do anything on it i figured Id show you all where I'm up too... I Found this on the side of the road on the way home one night, it was getting ready to be loaded and taken to the crusher. So when the truck came to pick it up, i got it directed to my house instead. For a small fee. heres the specs: 1969 ke10-b white 4k with original 4 speed 95% complete. Rusty, but most contained to permanent panels. Unmodified And here's how it looked the day i got it:…

I like to consider myself a ke10 through ke18 type of guy (hence the username), but I am a Corolla Freak like the rest of you so this could not be missed Picked up this beauty just last week. Purchased 9th or October 1974 by (now 85 year old) Davinne from Cambridge Motors, Hawthorn. She was the Only owner... Until now. This is the closest thing I'll even own to 'overrated'. Came with Original owners manual and Vehical Warranty books. Even has the original Toolkit in the boot which has never been used. The back seat has been sat in 6 times! Everything is original except for the steering wheel cover I removed before leaving her driveway. …

I plan to put in a newer, stronger, better etc. motor, which I'll be discussing with everybody when I get to that stage; Will probably want to put in a 4AGZE or similar. It's going to be painted a cool color, that I haven't decided on yet. It is currently colored BA purple, with some orange stripes down the sides. Hi People Just bought a 94 Seca RV AE102 totally stock, the reason that I named it Shakey is because it needs new engine mounts, so when you change gear you hear the engine go back and forth. Also it has the wrong clutch in it and when I'm pressing the clutch it shakes up and down. And also the stock AE102 suspension is shitty, so that's how I got Shakey So after the clutch and engine mounts are done, I can start modifying this beast. The Plans: - do the exhaust - find some corolla sportivo rims for it - do the suspension and lower it an inch or 2 - customize exterior, headlights, grill, mirrors - customize the interior - do a little sound …

So this is my second AE86. I picked it up as a rolling shell which was in pretty good condition. Recently I bought a bunch of stuff from buddyparts including: Bare JDM 86 halfcut, JDM 86 front brake setup, JDM 86 T series setup with 2way LSD (Probably swapping it for a standard LSD), kouki dash cluster, jdm fueltank. Car is running and was wired up by the boys at buddyparts. Body work starts next year. The first thing we need to do is figure out what to do with the disgusting "dealer" fitted sunroof. It's only got a little bit of rust but the car does need a respray. Once body work is done I think we may have to go through regency to get it legal but I am confident it s…

Hi all. This is my third foray into the world of engine building… Past experiences include 22r rebuild (was supposed to be the indestructible car… my sister rolled it doing 40kph. long story... engine still goes like a dream) and a 253 Vee-ate that was intended for a one tonner, but never made it as I couldn’t find a cab for the damn thing. This time around I am aiming some fairly unique ideas at my KE20, Sherridan. (Sherri for short…) I’ve had her for almost a year, and the stock as a rock 3K is feeling really really tired after racking up 280 thousand on the clock… Time for a makeover! I'm the second owner of the corolla, the first was an elderly lady who'd had it since new. The car came with every single service reciept including original purchase papers and only had 76xxx genuine k's on it at the time I purchased it in 2011. It currently has 91xxx on the clock. I also swapped in a low km 4k engine last year after the old faithful 3k decided to part ways with reliability. I got a little carried away, as we all do....and started modifying it with some basic mods. Probably not the smartest …

I bought it from Just Wrecking Toyotas on the cnr of South Tce and South Rd in Wingfield. The guy said it was lucky i called when i did because the car was about 10 minutes away from being completely wrecked, the guys had allready gone out and marked all the parts with a texta which i now have to clean off, lol.

New thread. Car looks like this now. So I put an AE93 speedo into my KE70 cluster for the speed sensor mainly to get rid of the CEL. Turns out when I drilled into it to mount it I drilled through the speed sensor connection. D'oh. Fixed, improved and re-installed. The clock has been replaced with a voltmeter and the charge light is no my CEL. I removed the trip meter mechanism to fit the speedo but I think I could make it fit. If I can find another cheap 93 cluster Ill do it at a later stage along with a new perspex screen. Next plan is to install the 9000rpm tacho.

Paid $600 for it from a mate, spent alot of time and money getting her roadworthy and it was my daily for just over a year until I snapped a valve spring. I replaced the offending spring, but in the process, I discovered that the entire engine is full of crap. No idea how it was still running. It lasted a couple weeks after that until I snapped another spring. Couldn't find a full set of springs at any wreckers so I gave up and parked her in a shed.
