Just wondering guys, e-mailed AJPS and asked about a rear strut brace, they said it was a weld in option. Where abouts does it weld in, i was under the impression there was a strut brace which bolted ove the top of the rear shocks?

Hey guys i,m new to toyota stuff but am just doing a turbo 3tc into an early corolla wagon and i,m chasing up turbo ex manifold bolt patterns for something thats a bolt on deal. Some guys have said 18rg!!! but others say only the 3tgte is a bolt on t3 turbo manifold. Any input by someone that knows would very greatly appreciated. Cheers Damo

Hi all, just been searching around your site to try and find information about putting a ca18det into my ke30. I have found that I can put the engine and box in with out to many issues i was just after some information on upgrading the brakes, chosing a good diff set up and any worthwhile suspension set ups. This is a 9 month project to get it on the road and legal so some simple good combinations for a good road/weekend warrior set up. I was looking at corona front discs with ln107 hilux 4 pot calipers on the front but not sure about the rear. hows it going people ive got an sr20 non turbo vvt, and theres alot of things i need help with. theres a hose running from the intake pipe connected to a T shaped line connection. and 1 line goes to the the side of the rocker cover and one goes underneath the fuel rail(atleast thats were i think its going). anybod have and ideas what its for? maybe a vaccume line???? added a pic just for a better idea of what I'm talking about

Hey peoples i need some help with what tailshaft to use in my ke55 it had a solsbree and now we put a banjo diff in and don't have a clue what tail shaft to use or are they all the same if theres any way to tell this very appreciated if ya can help. cheers Tyler

Haii Guys so as the title says, I need to take out my engine with out a crane... I have my dad, Step bro. mate and me to lift the box and motor out, i reckon its possible i can lift the engine upwards off the mounts myself just not move it around. Or should i undo all the A frame or what ever its called. And drop all the front suspension and just get them to help me lift the body upwards.? Over the motor and box and roll the motor out?

Hi i have a standard 4k carb and my float is not sitting level like it should be. has anyone got a guide to setting it properly or do i just buy a float gage and bend the tab so that it sits rite. cheers

Stripping the interior today, and i have no idea how the rear seat comes out. i have the bottom half off. but can't work out the back piece. I looked through the boot to were i thought a bolt or clip went through but couldn't see anything.. Do they slide up ? i want to check before i pressure it so i don't break it. Ideas?

I was driving home this morning and my engine (4a-F) started spluttering. I got home thinking it was one of the spark plugs but when i pulled them out i discovered water on one of them. I cranked it with all the plugs out and out burst water from the fourth cylinder ): This would mean my head gasket is stuffed. Or theres a crack. I'm realllly hoping its the first possibility. I've never done this before, nor do i have any idea how its done, but i have google, all of you, and plenty of time on my hands (i deliver pizzas for a living so no car means no work). Just a quick question, can I use a silvertop timing gear on the blacktop 20v, just hard to find a blacktop 20v timing gear for the inlet, apparantly it is going to take a month for the blacktop one to be shipped out from japan. But i know someone i can get a silvertop one from, so just wondering if its possible, i do know that the blacktop timing belt has an extra tooth compared to the silver top so it might be a pretty stupid question in that sense, but i still want to make sure.

hey guys i got a 3s engine in my garage that my bro got off a mate for free and i was wondering has anyone put these in a ke70 or is it the wrong type of motor? i couldnt find anything through the search option maybe i wasnt typing in the right stuff. its got all the wiring and computer and stuff, i kno its out of a front wheel drive but thats not hard to change. so yea any ideas if it would be a good engine to use?

Hey, after ages i finally got around to putting a motor back into my ke55. Now the motor ran fine in the car it was from but in my car it doesnt want to start. It turns over but just backfires out of the carb and doesnt seem to wanna start. I was thinking either vac lines are wrong (but looked at old pics of my motor and they seem the same) or something timing related. Anyone got any ideas? Cheers, Jason

Hi everyone. I have my ke70 pano with a 4age in it and it has been working fine for weeks, only now have I realised when I sit it on a hill petrol leaks out. I havn't hooked a carbon cannister to the engine for a few different reasons, the main one being I don't know properly how to hook it up so I couldn't be bothered. So I have the fuel lines that come up to the engine bay on the left side, one is hooked into up near the inlet manifold and the other, goes no where. I never hooked it up and have only just realised fuel leaks from it when I'm parked down a hill. It obviously comes direct from the fuel tank and I would assume the carbon cannister outlet goes …

Hey, Havent seen a thread on rollaclub like this and given the amount of questions we get about it i thought itd be helpful. Plus its an excuse to post up some tuff corollas. So i friggin love my corolla, which i've named freedom. Its an all stock(at the moment) 1991 Seca Csi limited with the 4A-F engine(thats the carbureted one right?). I recently lost my job and so i have a lot of time on my hands, so i've been spending a lot of time on the car. So i found a diy guide on how to port and polish in an old autosalon magazine. I've never done this before. Will it be beneficial to corolla? It has the 4A-F engine. What are the dangers if i get something wrong. Can anyone who has done this before give me some tips?

So the placard in my corolla says that my tyres should be at 24 psi but when they're there they seem too low. I have the original stock wheels on. What is the best pressure to have them at?

Hey I just lifted my Ke20 rally car for more clearance but now I have lost all of my negative camber. Is there a way of changing my lower control arm to something longer? Does anyone sell adjustable ones? Have they been done before? Do I need to modify my steering rack? I don't want to put adjustable top plates in they are to expensive and you only get a small amount out of them. All of my front suspension is standard except for springs. Thanks in advance B-Rad

Have just put a Weber 32/36 on my 4K-C KE70, with extractors and a 2 1/4 exhaust. I'm just trying to get it to run reasonably well for the moment because dyno tuning is a bit out of the budget at the moment, so id just like to here specifically what jets people are running so i have got a closer point to start jetting mine from, cos mine runs like shit so far and i don't want to spend to much more on jets cos there friggen expencive. hi guys i have cleaned my motor and polished it and put it back in, the only thing that lets it down is the side drought carby. is there a chemical i can buy to clean it , i don't want it polished (it would take years) i just want it clean , atm its really dirty alloy any tips would be good , i have tried petrol and a toothbrush

Can any one give me venturi (choke) size there running on there 4ages.I have 45 dcoes ,just a bass line setting to get it running. From what i can work out 36mm ventures,145 main ,f16 e tubes,200 air corrector.idle ?? Just till i get it to the dyno .But the closer i can get it the better. Am i close ?? cheers rob

I am picking up a weber 32/36 for my ke70 from a mate of mine for $30 before u say whats wrong with it absolutley nothing wrong with it he just needs to piss it off. now my question iswhat the frig do you do about the hose in the top of the tappet cover that goes to the standard air filter where the frig do u hook it up to serious i need an idea. i am thinking of just getting it professionally fitted to save me the stuff assing about with the thing is anybody else here from toowoomba and know of a decent place that won't try and rip me off!! i can get the adapter plates and air filter kits through injectacarb…

Hey guys, Alec here, been around here a little bit and now i need some help please! I have 3 Ke70s here and a spare engine, one a daily and two parts cars (all 4K-Cs). I want to send one of the heads off to get it machined and new seals and stuff. SO, when i bought one of the cars i got a spare engine with it, i pulled the head off it and the coolant inlet thing (don't know what its called) looked like this so i thought, oh god, its rooted. So i disregarded it and it sat it in the corner. then i went out to my first spare parts car and pulled the head off (i drove this car back from Cairns, so i thought it'd be all good) and the inlet thingy…

does anyone know what the go is with the blanked out valley holes in the standard 4k head gasket

decided to start pinky the to day and noticed that the was a fuel leak near No. 4 injector. the black rings that are on top the injector and sit against the fuel rail does it matter if the r broken or cracked? as they are like it but they others don't seem to leak. it seemed as though it was more of a mist or spray than actually dripping hence why i thought injector due to pressure. any other suggestions?

Hay guys I'm looking into getting my ke30 4 stud to get converted to a commodore 5 stud whats the deal with spacers if i wanted to convert it would it be able just to use spacers and where would i get them and ive tried the search feature because I'm sure this has been covered before but it doesnt seem to work. and i was thinking about going the 7afe way and ive seen pictures of a silvertop head on one is it possible?
