Hey guys just wondering if you can buy dished pistons relatively cheap to suit a 4kc?

hey all, I'm currently doing a 4agte conversion into my ke70 and I'm sorta umming and ahhhing about what suspension i should run, weather i go ae86 coils with differnt calipers? or s13 in my experience anytime someone mentions ae86 the price goes up, i mean s13 gear is easy to get because there is alot more of it around? anyway have you done the s13 swap into your ke? do you know someone who has done it? what did it handle like? its only going to be a weekender maybe hit the track in it cheers all :)

G'day guys. I've got some widened steelies about to go on my ke10, they're datsun 1200 ute rims according to my mate. The centre-bore of the rim is bigger than a conventional ke70 etc centre cap, so i can't use them.. The bore is 67mm.. So my main question is does anyone have any idea of what Toyota centre caps would fit? As i want them looking kinda stock-ish And before it's mentioned i know i can get aftermarket mag wheel caps and just slap toyota logo's on them but that's really not what i'm after.. Any ideas? hey guys, a few of RC people might know my TA22 build "voodoo ta22" as majority know aftermarket suspension parts etc for old school toyotas are a bit of a pain to find. i have stumbled across www.technotoytuning.com and they have a massive range for TA22 but my only question is has anybody used this company before or know of anyone who has etc before i go spending cash on stuff in the US. any advice/opinions good or bad highly appreciated. they also sell KE70, KE30, KE70 and various other early model Toyota, Datsun parts.

hey guys just s few questions about the dellorto carbs I'm wondering if you can run a supercharger with 2x twin 40mm dellorto carbs and if the carbys them selfs can run facing upright?? any info would be good thanks

Hi , looking to get a good quality radiator around Liverpool, Campbelltown area, or Sydney if I have to travel I know a lot of the online ones are dubious quality, Prefer to deal with a person than a website with no phone number, any one know agood place need to either replace or recore the one in my Ke70. is there such a thing as heavy duty Cheers

Hey guys I'm wondering if anyone on here would be interested in helping out and modifying some seat rails to fit my ke70. the seat mounting points are from inside points of the holes. 13" apart left to right and 10.5" front to back.

Ok I am so lost, I have a failing axle in my TE38 and I needed a replacement. So I visited the junk yard and pulled an axle from an Ra40 ST and I can't FIND ANY INFO! Weird thing is in order to gain access to the diff you have a cover on the back you remove and the spindle snout is actually a part of the axle. It's much larger than my stock axle but I can't find an lsd until I can identify this axle. Please help

Hey there guys, I'm looking to achieve more lock out of my Ke70, so far Ive done the following steering modifications.. T3 - Front Lower Control Arms. T3 - Tension Control arms. T3 - Outer Tie rods. T3 - Ae86 Power Steering arms. But I'm still looking to gain more, so i'm wandering what possible steering rack swaps are out there with the use of the stock ke70 engine crossmember? Any and all help is greatly appreciated, thanks!!

I've recently got my hands on a set of twin solex side draughts for the old 4k and hunting someone to balance/tune them up in Brisbane/any of you feel like earning some beers :P. cheers guys! On another note has anyone else heat wrapped their extractors below twin side draughts before, and has it made a significant difference/is it worth the effort. Thanks again -Kim

hey guys, i have a ke70 wagon that has a 4age conversion. drove it for a couple years then ran out of rego and parked it out back. its been back there for a year now and now wont start. the wiring is dodgey and would really like to take it somewhere that will neaten up the wiring and get her up and running again. willing to pay for good work. preferably south of adelaide. miss driving the old girl so any help would be great as i don't have the skills to get it back up and running cheers Andrew

Could someone tell me if this engine has the same bolt pattern in the gear box face than the 4K? It can be installed in my car? Hi, Need some mind power by some gurus on here to help me with my idle issue... The other day was driving my KE11 and when crusing down a road at any speed if I jumped off the noise pedal car would pop a bit (so lean out pops ok all cool). Pops started to get more frequent when off the throttel so I figured car running a tad lean. Then BOOM car stopped ideling. But when driving with throttel open 100% fine. So I did the whole undo idel screw blow some compressed air in to clear idle jets spray in some carby cleaner put screw back in. Toyota specs say start at 3 turns off shut. Due to a semi mild cam (kicks in around 3500RPM) my idel screw is 3 and 3/4 off seat…

hey peepz, iv got a haltech e11v2 wired up to my 20V ke. haltech provided me with a 16v base map and said it would get the car running however my tuner said it doesnt work and he would have to custom make the map. does anyone have a haltech e11v2 20valve map ? if so please email it to [email protected] any help would be good thanks guys

Hey all, I've recently rebuilt and installed an sr20det red top into a ke70.. It has disco potato turbo, 875cc injectors Bosch 044 fuel pump 3" cooler piping Haltech sprint 500 ecu Went to take it for a drive the other day, it started, ran & idled fine.. Would rev to 3G fine.. But as soon as you would hit or go over 3, it just shuts down! It feels as if it has no spark, but still pumping fuel.. If I keep my foot on the throttle, then take it off before it completely stalls.. It will back fire, cough & splutter then return to idle.. And if I just take my foot straight off, it returns to idle as if there were no problem? I've replaced rubber fuel ho…

Hi guys, I've had my project on another forums for sometime but I need some more indepth help. I purchased a 4AGE for my KE70 today and have so far worked out that I have a bigport head on a 7 rib block. All I am wondering is there anyway to tell externally if its a 2nd gen or a 3rd gen? I'm pretty sure both 2nd and 3rd are 7 rib blocks? Also pretty sure that 3rd gen came with oil squirters? Many thanks in advance, I'll leave some photos.

Has anyone done this? I'm having a problem with the timing on this setup, when you rev the engine it retards the timing for 10 degrees to 5 degrees, doesn't make a smooth drive, are the computer setup differently on the ae112 computer, any help would be much appreciated, Ae112 ecu pin out would be great too. Hi guys, I've got a problem with the heater in my AE71 where the heaters blower doesn't work. With the heater on any setting i only get a click from around the passenger kick panel and thats about it. No heat, no air being blown, nothing but a click when i switch between the heat settings. I havent yet been able to remove the kick panel to pinpoint where the click comes from but is this where the heaters relay is located? Ive checked all fuses under the steering wheel and in the engine bay and they all seem to be intact. Is there a specific relay or fuse i should be checking? How can i test the blower motor?

If putting 4 piston brakes do you need to upgrade the master cylinder or will the standard one work ??

Hey all, I've never had too much to do with auto's in Corollas but I assumed they'd be borgwarner like Celica etc.. Yesterday I picked up a 4k from a ke70 that had this trans on the back. When unbolting I discovered a GMH build plate. Is this just standard gearbox?

I'm thinking of buying a 76 2 door ke it has Rust in rear quarters and back right window I know I can get brand new front guards for around $80 each but does anyone know a good place in Sydney area that could help? I have photos but not sure how to upload ?

Hey guys, Having some issues at the moment with what to do with my rear quarters. They have currently been cut for bolt on flairs and large wheels, but am now interested in going back to near standard fitment. Anyone know of any weld on flairs kits or reproduction rear quarter panels that mimic the original sizing. Or even some nice neat little bolt ons. ps. rear guards with flairs are currently set up for 14x9 -10. I want to go to 14x7 -6. do not suggest wheel spacers to fill my guards. thanks.

Hey All, In the process of putting a turbo on my 5k and was wondering if anyone can post a picture (or write a response) of how they have connected the oil return pipe to the engine/sump. I am making a manifold up and placing the turbo where the carby currently sits and then the carby will sit in front of it facing the front of the car. The issue I have is because of the 5k engine slant in the car (ke10) the oil sits higher in the sump on the side that my turbo is on. Cheers Shane

When fitting a 4age to a ke30 what box is recommended also diff. How much gearbox tunnel work is required and peddle box requirements

after purchacing a KE30 recently matching number vehicle. needs a little tlc but is rust free and original which has pointed me in the direction of rebuilding the 3k motor i like the idea of injection so the question is does the 7k injection manifold set up fit a 3k motor or am i better off sourcing a 5k motor and going down that avenue. i want to keep it looking as original as possible

Ok, so i'm starting to get rod knock from my stock 4age and am wondering what all I would need to get a 2zz-ge into my car. Detailed information such as mods to the engine bay,mountings, wiring for the dash (w/full and complete wiring harness and potential problems i might run into. Thanks for the info.

I just cashed out for 2016 corolla le that came with lojack pre installed from the dealer and I do not feel comfortable having a GPS tracker in my car and lojack won't give me any information unless I pay them for a service I do not want does anyone know where the lojack might be located so I can remove it from my vehicle

Hey guys hopefully there is a simple fix to this dilemma that has just been noticed. I finally got my daughters KE55 coupe on the road but realised that the speedo is stuck at 35 km/h when driving it operates normally above point where it sticks.The accuracy is yet to be confirmed. I have pulled the cable out from the back of the speedo in the hope that it would fall back to zero but no luck. Any ideas on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

It's the off season here in the wonderful state of Oklahoma, USA. That means bitter cold and prepping for spring. I'm considering boring my block and fitting over-sized forged pistons. The only place I have found that make pistons for the 4K is Kameari and those are 88,000 yen or about $770 US. They're also 79mm which seems like a stretch in the 4K block. Is there another company that makes over-sized forged pistons for a 4K? Thanks and happy holidays, JP

Hi would someone have an answer, Iv asked every where no on seem to be able to answer. Is the 3VZFE engine used between 1992 and 1993 in America the same as the Australian version between 1992 to 1996. Thank you.
