bought it off of ebay for 80 bucks usd. The guy said it was for a pre '74 corolla......i asked specifically if it would fit a '69. got it, put it on yesterday, had to cut 1/2" off of the motor mount plate, finished it up today. leaking at head....that'll teach me to try to reuse old gaskets..... i don't really notice any difference, just is louder at the twice pipes any advice?

hey everyone. ive recently been thinking about this, and to me it seems to defeat the purpose. see the way I'm looking at this is if we take a turbo'd engine. with a compression ratio of 8.5 the bottom end is gonna be rather gutless and only be any good once it comes onto boost. now the way i see it the lower compression ratio means slower acceleration until the turbo spools up and a longer time to spool up because the engine isnt pumping as much air and it will also mean that the turbo has to push more air to create the same pressure in the cylinder as it would with a higher comp. engine. so from this thinking to me it seems that to have a decompressed version of n/a …

hey guys, having 2 issues at the moment, car is 4ac kesev. 1. my cam timing seems to keep jumping a tooth (or two). -belt is always kept adjusted tight has the spring on there and i leaver the bearing tensioner on a little more when nipping the bolt up to make it even tighter (not over tight). -belt is probaly 40,000km's old and doesnt show signs of wear -cam wheel and crank pulley don't really look worn. if they where then they would be chewing the belt out. -valve springs are stock, cam isnt. -belt appears to run true when motor is running and cam isnt bent or anything silly -not 100% sure but may only be happening when i give it a heap of revs (i regu…

got a few questions 1. my car is pouring out more smoke than a smoke machine (got dob in to the cops by some random) whats causing this is it burning oil? 2. my car has a random tenecy to not start when it starts if u try to accelerate it will stall u keep having to start the car and accelarte until it doesnt stall checked all the sensors there in good working order 3. a shit load of oil is pissing from my gearbox (the little gap wear the gearbox connects to the motor) what need to be done to fix it Gasket? Hi guys. Been very long time since I've been on here. Serious rust in the rolla made me loose interest But I finally found it again. But to fix/hide the rust damage I'm fitting flares What I need is to increase the track width in the front to fill the flares I'm thinking I need around 40mm a side ( but won't know for sure until I get the flares) I currently have xt130 struts and steering arms And was thinking of running some sigma or Cressida lca's but will need to do something about the massive neg camber Does anyone have any ideas? well as the story goes, ive got a ke30, wanted to put my 4G63 VR4 motor in it but found out it would be more hassle than it was worth so decided to go down the k engined route. ok now basically atm ive got a ke30 sitting at home with a 3k i'll rip out and ive since been collecting parts to build my hot k motor. So far at home ive got a set of 4AGE pistons (81mm diameter, 18mm grudgin pin diameter), two DCOE sidedraught 40 webers and 4k Main bearings (which I'm assuming fit a 5k crank but if they don't i'll cry!) firstly, should i go 5 or 7k? i know they share the same bore and its the stroke that makes them different capacity wise, but the engines, although si…

Hi, I have just got a 1600 2t out of a celica for free and i currently have a 4-ac with a t50 box, i know that the 2t comes stock with a t52 but i wanted to know if a 2t could go in to a t50. Also i was wondering is it worth it, replacing a 4-ac with a 2t. I believe that the 4ac puts out about 90hp (may be less as is the aus version and haven't taken the pollution gear off yet) and i think the 2t puts out about 100hp (not so sure about that)

ive got a ke30 with a 4 speed, I'm doing a ke70 5 speed conversion to my ke55 and I'm wondering if the ke30 pedal box will mount up to my 55. also will the 4 spd speedo cable fit the 5 speed and ke55 speedo? what tailshaft do i use to connect the ke70 5 speed to my ke55 diff? cheers Evan

I was thinking the other night and i was thinking of a way to get more air to the carbie and i thought of getting a crome pipe and puting it next to the radiator though the grill with mesh on it so no rocks get in and then feeding it to the carbie and mounting it on the carbie inlet thingo any way do your think this would do any thing at all to help the car or would it be a wast of time Thanks Heaps Luke

I recently done some work to my 4k. I got the head shaved down so compression is at 10.1 i think And had the oringinal cam reground but can't remember specs and got extractors with 2 and 1/2 inch exhaust but with stock carby. And I'm about to slap a sc14 supercharger on it and is wondering if anyone can tell me if it will just go pop or will it last? Please need some help?

ive got a ke20 corolla and i found some rims i liked but there on the internet so i want to be sure they will fit they are the right stud pattern but i wasnt sure about the offset. they are 13 x 5.5, 4 x 100 PCD with 46p offset and a 56.1 mm bore hole. thanks rollas . peace

hey i want to get my windows tinted on a ke55 coupe. does anyone work at a tinting place and is willing to do a cash job? I'm after the good shiz tint, nice and dark and wont fade, but legal too. pm me if you need some extra chrissy cash.

While most of these have fallen off long ago, I'm trying to remove the door trims from my KE55 coupe, the only problem however is that I can't get the winder off. The trims are in execellent condition and will be for sale one they are removed, as such I'm reluctant to just hack them off. I know they are held on by a circlip of some discription, I just fall short of knowing how to get them off. Any help in with regards to this matter will be appreiceated Cheers jordan

My window winders are doing the normal jam thing as I wind down. A little pressure on the glass helps. I have replaced the drivers front one before. I have two spare rear dorrs and was wondering if anyone knows if you can swap them? Also, what is the best dry lube to use on the mechanism? And yes, I went and bought that special tool......... hey, just wondering if anybody can get a hold of a wiring diagram for the ac system on my 1990 toyota dyna yh81r, I've got something not hooked up or missing around the distributor/ac control area and my ac won't turn on..... its been pulled apart for ages, and I've just resurrected it (components/leaks/gas/etc) but I can't turn it on!!!! it was a kettering ignition system and its been converted to electronic, and I'm thinking an RPM signal is missing, but not quite sure :thumbsup: Robert.

Hey Guys, Ive been wiring up a tacho in the KE55, got it all hooked up how i thought it went. It turns on and lights up properly. but I'm not getting any movement in the needle. so i guess i must have wired it to the wrong spot on the dizzy. can anyone tell me exactly where i have to attach the wire on a KE55, better yet, could someone with a tacho please take a photo of where they wired it to?
