hello everybody, I'm just about to start ripping my ke30 apart again, for a complete build, so i thought i may as well show my progress. I recently restored my ke25, with a bare metal respray, all the chrome, and the result turned out unbelievable IMO, so have decided that it is time for the ke30 to get a facelift, using the exact same styling  I shall quickly introduce my vehicle ---------------------------------------- Anyways, this is my ke30, when i it looked its best. It is always under development, particularly in the driveline department. I have to say it spends more time getting worked on then driven. The old m…

Definitely gonna need a MIG me thinks... Not too bad from a distance, 1 of 5 or 6 in OZ? Fabrication definitely required Factory air-conditioning...NOT! Japanese for "rusty"? Back end looks much like OZ T18, maybe easiest to cut the whole arse off and weld on T18 metal? It says "LEVIN", I guess that means I'm O.K. to post on a corolla forum. Hatch is thankfully relatively rust free, otherwise I would be boned... Oh yeah, can't start work just yet, still at previous owners place, waiting for engine to be pulled. Someone wish me luck, I am gonna need it.

I found this old girl a few months ago but had troubles getting onto the owner. My other car, a RN85 Hilux with a 1JZ-GTE, has been giving me a lot of dramas this year, so there was always a little thought in the back of my mind about getting a reliable daily. I found this purely by accident as it wasn't advertised. It was sitting under some carports at work collecting dust and hadn't moved for ages when I parked next to it and noticed the for sale sign in the window. It's a KE35 Corolla coupe, 3K motor with a 4 speed manual and only 122000kms. It's currently unregistered but only needs a battery and 5 new tyres. The engine sounds great and has no oil leaks. The body is…

Hey guys, This is the very first AE82 Seca I bought off a dying friend of the family in immaculate condition and with only 160,000k's on the clock for just 900 bucks, We have had it now for just shy of 4 years and its been a great car, It now has 203,000k's and the only thing i have had to replace is the water pump x2 (1st new one was faulty), The fuel pump x2 (1st new one was faulty) and the timing belt as the one that was on it perished at 203,000k's (hopefully this one aint faulty). Only mods done to this one are: - 4age (kept auto) - Wheels (ENKEI's). - Twincam wheel. - Tower to Tower strut brace. - Tinted windows. - Audio. - Plates (her initials and DO…

Hey, Just thought I'd put my little project out there, it’s the first time I’ve had a go at anything like this. I’m an electronics technician with a desperate need to work on a car lol. Pretty well much my first forum post too… It’s a shocker of a KE70. Rough as guts body, with the usual minor rust repairs, boot and wheel arches. I reckon its rear ended someone at some point in its life. Had a dint in the front right guard, now fixed but white. Interiors great, clean and doesn’t smell, very comfy too. But it once was full of hay? Suspensions, well very nautical at the moment. I’ve had better trips in boats. My major problems the 4-KC, I’m just about ready to t…

Hey Hey, Bought this for a daily. This is to replace my Corona for a while so yeah. Came with new front vented rotors and calipers off a Ae112 i think, So they will go on soon along with new rear rotors and pads. Has the parcel tray still in good nick which amazes me as i havent seen many around. 15x6 wheels, Might be 15x6.5 but not sure yet as i havent had a good chance to look. Adjustable whiteline rear sway bar looks bling, Has yellow rear springs so they might be kings, Not sure but meh. Front struts might be shagged as it feels very very soft. oh well. Interior is a bit grubby, Mainly dust but the dash is uncracked and that cover t…

Well i thought it was time to start up a project thread and let you all know what I'm upto and what my plans are. I Have 2 Ke's Sitting in my driveway, my old ke55 which i was running with the standard 4k and 4 speed combo, and decided to die on me one night, since that night, it has not been started or moved, it's been close to a year now. its got a near overrated interior, Its been resprayed a few years back before i got it, so its fair decent. The other is my KE30, which I've only had for 4 days or so, It's got a 5k engine with a 5 speed box behind it. its currently nopt running because it needs carbies reconditioned and fluids flushed and a few gaskets replace…

after a few weeks of pulling my hair out trying to get my car down from sydney, it finally arrived yesterday. its a ke26 panel van, mostly standard body wise, running a 13bt from a series 4 rx7. getting stuck into it this weekend, hoping to hav the motor/box out so i can start stripping it to get painted. basically replacing everything on the car, to an extent. getting the motor rebuilt, just bought a larger turbo for it, gonna get it bridge ported etc. its running an R31 diff in it atm which should handle the power for a little while, so i won't be touching that much. its running standard r31 disc brakes at the rear, and ke55 disc brakes at the front with ke55 struts. de…

Here we go again. I've bought another car. :lolcry: I really don't know where to stop do I. I know a lot of you have been wondering who bought that KE25 that was at the Ipswich wreckers up here in Queensland. Well I'm happy to say it was me and I'm making it official. I kinda don't know what I'm doing venturing into uncharted territory as I'm use to dealing with the KE3X/5X's. Thankfully she is pretty much complete other than a couple of bad spots. So... I've taken a few brief shots of the car showing what she looks like in her present state. I'll take more on Friday after I have her cleaned up and polished like I have done with all my cars. Tho dusty, the bod…

hi all, i got this corolla from a friend bout 6 months ago and have only jus decided to fix it up and make it street legal. It's a 1979 KE55 Sedan, when i got it it had major rust issues and the paint was cracked and faded everywhere, the rear bumper was bent and all door seals are screwed so it has never really had a proper wash. the main rust was in the gaurds and is also the worst place to bog. i have completely stripped the car and sanded it back, 90% of rust work is fixed, as you can see most of the car is now in primer and now just waiting to find a good painter. the last places that needs bogging is in the gaurds as you can see in one of the pics taken from…

So... I was having a couple of beverages with this german backpacker the other day, and, long story short, she gave me her car. Its a 1980 Mazda 929. 2 litre, 5 speed, Aircon. Grotesquely overweight, and more akin to driving a lounge room than a car.... with period correct brownest of brown interior, resplendent in crushed velvety stuff (striped and pleated) and laminex woodgrain. Sexy. Now ordinarily I'd just take something like this out bush and see how well it was engineered, but unfortunately: a: It drives beautifully b: It is 100% completely rust free c: It is completely original, unmolested and DEAD straight... other than the front.... So I've decided …

You've got to love the look of an old wagon and now here it is. Picked it up yesterday, what a sweet ride. Plans for 5K, 5speed, 14inch steelies & hubbies, lowered and tint. Don't know what colour to respray it yet. I'm thinking a plain colour, Non-Metallic. Not blue but, because PMP020 has already got one in blue, so i'd like to be different, if possible.

hi every one i have recently recovered a old and very rusty ke55 from a backyard near my dads work. it cannot be registerd again but i was thinking of builing it up as a bit of a fun car to drive around a mates farm and up the local forestry. I have no intension of trying to damage this car just for the sake of damaging it. My plans include rebuilding and modifiying the standard 3k and exhaust. Fitting sump guard and skid plate, welded diff, beefing up front and rear bumper's and putting in a push button start. What do you think will get pics of the car up later tonight

So I was having a chat with a fellow corolla owner, and he informed me of a reasonable condition KE36 sitting at, of all places, the dump...and he said they wanted to sell it. Now they wanted $700, and my mate told me he had talked them down to $400. I told him he shouldn't have told me about this, as for some reason, no matter what or where or when or how I am told about a corolla....I usually end up owning it within a week. Which is exactly what happened AGAIN. After a terrible experience at motor registry 8| asshole pieces of shit that work there!! ....................anyways, I decided to head out to have a look at this wagon. Now I have …

Hi All, Just thought i would update you on the final testing of our KE15 for this year. Just had it down at Four Performance at Parafield for its final tune and check. See one of the runs on You tube: We ended up finding out that the fuel pump was faulty which stopped the 4psi of fuel pressure needed for webers. It was running at about 1.5Psi which shows up on long power runs with the weber fuel bowl running dry, this then started to lean out the mixture at the high end. This was fixed with new fuel pump which should now maintain the pressure required. Bloody amazing what Dyno's can show when you are testing on them. The final power figure was about 105…

Hey guys. First to introduce my small history with ke70's & why i love them. A few years ago a had a granny spec ke70, bog stock, immaculate inside, out & mechanically, & planned keeping it that way. Then, one morning, i don't know what happened, i clicked (got bored i guess). Cut the springs & painted it sunkist orange. Mind you, it was my first full spray job on a car, so was pretty average. Had lots of fun drifting & cruising, but had to let it go eventually, & have regretted not only selling it, but f@$king it up with dodgy shit :) . Anyway, years past & my love have grown for KE's. Ecspecially the 70's. Was after a new car recently, somet…

I have owned a few Corollas and have visited this site over the last 18months. My first car was a Toyota Corolla Ke30 4door, the red-orange colour and was bought in early 2006 off my sister. Had a few mods done to it but its journey came to an end a week after i got my P’s. Yeah, the Macca’s hedge was not as welcoming as first thought, if i could have only spun 5 metres more so it was the driveway, but maybe not. Had a nice 3k in it that seemed absolutely unbreakable.
