Picked up my first car just recently in South Aus :) Done 80,000 original km's with full service history. Couple of spots of bubble rust (which I plan on getting restored), cracked dash and an unusual yellow paint area on the front panels are pretty much the worst things on the whole. I am the 3rd owner. 1st was an older gentleman who only did around 5000 kms per year and the 2nd being a younger chick who pretty much did bugger all aswell. So its all nice and neat. Heres a quick squiz before I get some more pictures Already has tinted windows, cd stereo and an alarm system, but have plans for paint restoration firstly, than suspension and brakes an…

Well as of today there are four cars in my stable. I found this car a few streets away from my house. It was on the day my sister was moving house and I thought it would be handy if i had a wagon to transport her crap. Well its been sitting there for months so I thought I'd make an offer. Turns out they've been wanting to sell for ages but have never found the time. The paint is looking pretty sad as its been egged and painted several times. The bay. This car has given me many surprises. When I popped the bonnet i discovered that it housed a 4K. I also discovered that the build date is 76 instead of 77/78. So somewhere down the line someone has placed a l…

Hey guy's pretty new to these forums as I just recently brought a AE82 1986 SECA. I brought it from my dads friend who owns Toyo Spares / Wreckers up sort of near lilydale. Brought the car for $3k, which included 7 months rego + name transfer fee's, RWC and everything that needed to be done for that (new windscreen, front right light, wipers + wiper washers etc) Engine has been reconditioned and had $2.5k spent on it... currently has 15,000km on it the body has 269,000km. Everything's in pretty good condition usual rust in the usual spots no dints or scratches, straight body. Usual so so... Once i got it around 1 week ago i gave it a good wash and wax, instal…

***Change Of Vehicle*** I have decided to put together an AE71 Panelvan as i had a spare bigport GE in the shed, I am hoping to have this one running as soon as i get the box and carbies for it, It will be running twin 45mm DCOE webers on a bigport adaptor (on the way from the US), Also need to get extractors and it should be done, I'm going to see how it goes with the stock 4age distributor with an ignition module, There will be no advance but i will just have it setup to run good at high rpm. Hey guys thought i would do a thread on my current project, it has changed a little over the past couple of months due to serveral reasons. Originally the plan was simple 4age, stick 2 1g turbos on it and have some fun till i blew stuff up then start again. Well after looking for about 3 month trying to find a "decent price"(keeping in mind that i bought the car for $300) for a gearbox i came across something a little strange. A friend of mine called me and told me that he knew a guy selling an ex race car which was a KE70, thats when it became interesing. the car was a red AE71 fitted with a 3SGE running LPG, also had a locker with 4.11 diff ratio, rear disc conversio…

This has been my baby for 5 years. 100k on it so far and there's an engine light that just won't turn off. I treat her rough through the roads, all the swirvy turns in Mountainy PA have a lot of 'fun' potential for me. I don't drive reckless where anyone else would be able to get hurt though, and I do abide by the speed limit (5-10 over at most) and a clean driving record shows this. Anyways. Here's my corolla, Figure I'd join a club where I had the car. /cheers

I'm working on my dash. I wanted some thing LIKE this just were the small gages are. this is what i had and wanted the gages to face me more eg on an angle. so what I'm going to do is cut some pool pipe 560mm that the gages fit very sung in. wile i was going to do this i thought i would fix my first cup i made. so i cut the pipe at an angle (i just guessed the angle i needed) and all 3 in there started glassing.. i just put a little hot glue to hold the cups.. and i decided that the gages should be spreed out more rather than bunched up. i added the plastic i cut off the end to the middle bits to make it stronger. and made shore the gages lo…

Just got my hands on a ke11 rolla on the (07/07/07.....might be lucky :y: ), this is my first rolla build with plans to turn it into a daily/hillclimb with a ca18de. Haven't done a whole yet just sussing the body work, housing the motor and box and getting all the parts together at the moment. I ended up using a ke55 tunnel, it hosts the box nicely with it out the car. Not to sure on how to go about making engine mount templates, any ideas are appriciated i would concider anything. will have pics up shortly keep an eye out James

figured i'd throw my rig up here had an AE86 but it was hard to be "individual" so i turfed that and went back to my first love being the 70 :D used a lot of parts out of the 86 to build a reasonable package to start off with. it had coilovers, LSD, XR4's and MKII's and powered by a JDM 16v, T50, extractors and zorst. not long after being finished a JDM front end came up so i had to have that, included lights, grill and the lower beaver panel. i threw on some chrome T18 bumpers to complete the look. got bored with that pretty quick so its been off the road now for a while getting a CA18DET  pretty much wanted to kee pthe old school look and feel …

Well since i have some spare time i thought i would make thread for at least one of my cars and my daily being the one i don't have to go into much detail with :y: Anyway i managed to pick up my 1984 AE71 Corolla in November 2006.. I found it on eBay with the seller advertising it as a 4age motor for sale. I contacted the seller for more info. After all questions were answered i came to the conclusion that the item for sale was infact an AE71 with a JDM Bigport 4age engine in it which was just out of rego and required minor pink slip. I carefully watched the auction till the end where i eventually won! YAY!!! So my brother and i began the 12 hour round trip of drivin…

Ok ............ here it goes. The original owner was a farmer somewhere in Austrailia. He at some point had sold it to a female college student, who didn't like the car after buying it and sold it to the previous owner's friend of 30 plus years. That guy had owned it for years and sold it to the previous owner who ran the car for many more years. He loved the car sooooooo much he brought it back with him to the USA in 1996. That brings us to now. I'm the 5th and current owner (and damn proud of it) and I'm gonna try my best to get this car back to factory original!! It remains right hand drive and is in complete original condition except for the 1997 paint job, which is f…

Hey Guys/Girls, new here so thought i'd introduce myself. My name is Mic, never really posted on here but am a regular on Toymods. Here is my new ride(a long story to go with it!) Well nearly 1.5 years ago, since I sold my Ke25 and since then been driving my R31 Silhouette. But something was missing. Just something about the R31 that wasn't there for me! Then i figured it out! I was missing the love of a Classic Corolla! So the search began November last year! One day while i was working at my old work, i saw a very nice Ke26 drive past me and go to the workshop up the street. So finally getting the courage to go talk to the mechanic who was working on it, i went…

Got another Courier; this one's an '81, has 108,000mi on the clock, mazda 2.0, 5 speed with a FRIED clutch. ABSOf@$kINGLUTELY no floors. The cab is so rusty the floor is gone, and there's nothing much left for the door hinges to bolt to. I got really wet driving it to work in the rain the first day. Why? He wanted $100usd for it, then told me I could instal a new p/s pump on his '74 chevy 350 and he would GIVE it to me. So it cost me 2 hrs labor, a $35 clutch plat I had leftover from Courier mk. II and a weber 32/36 carb I had in the shed due to the nikki leaking, I had to rebuild the idler arm, and I had a blowout. So those and the rego cost me about $150usd. It get…

Its a one owner 5 speed with air con that works great and its only done 110,000kms. The bonus was when the car turned up last night i checked the engine to see if it was the original 3K and discovered it was a 5K. I'll post more pics after it get the new wheels and suspension job. Have a set of 14x7 Rebel Wheels, lowered King front springs and new struts as well as re set rear leaf springs, a down draft webber, extractors and sports exhaust all waiting to go on.

Interior is nice n clean, Had to get a new front windscreen as when i was changing the pedel box over i broke the old one. Not really doing much to it as i don't have the time to take it off the road and work on it ( i have a 18 month old son), and i don't really need a fast corolla, i am more into j…

One of my dads mates had this just sitting on his back lawn so i decided to buy it for $50 (not the best photo) The only thing really wrong with it was just the outside and inside of the car. All the engine and gearbox and stuff worked fine and was in good condition. Since my dads a panel beater he gave it a respray so the white wouldn't look as dull and put new tires and rims on it. After that the interior needed a cleanup and new seats were needed. We also tinted the windows, put a pioneer DEH-P3950MP head unit in and 2 pioneer front speakers. Then we put some seats in gave the interior a good clean up and this is the final result. Now i want to…
