Yesterday I got inspired and decided to yank the engine out of my parts car so could get the 5 speed and anything else useful from it and cube the shell. Much to my amazement my other half wanted to lend a hand... so I gave her a phillips head and a 10mm socket and told her to remove whatever she could. Within half an hour she'd stripped all the light fittings, bezels and brackets and was keen to do more so I let her cut sick in the engine bay and another hour later she'd isolated the engine completely and we just dragged it out. She then proceeded to split the gearbox from the engine and we were done.... :P A few pics Cursing like a sailor at the hea…

Best quotes and sayings about car racing "Gotta work on the nut behind the wheel before you start fixing bolts on the car". "Racing makes Heroin addiction look like a vague wish for something salty." -- Peter Egan Colin Chapman: Simplify, then add lightness Roger Penske: the harder you work, the luckier you become Jackie Stewart: It is not always possible to be the best, but it is always possible to improve your own performance When you think you know it all, it's a sure sign you don't The best way to make a small fortune in racing is to start with a large one and work down from there On racers that favored implementation of restrictor plates…

Yo, today my cousin was talking about making a 1st fire up vid for the TT LS 300 where he said his mate had suggested stuffing the pipes with 50's so they blow out into a shower of money when it comes to life to replicate 'running the car burns money' so my question is does anyone know where to find fake $50 notes for entertainment or play as stuffing real 50's into the exhaust might be costly. P.S. I do not want counterfeit money and I have done a google search and an ebay search and it is all US fake notes.

Just stuffing around cos its bucketing down and I can't do bugger all else today, and I've noticed the Whereis.com satellite imagery is much more frequently updated than the Google ones... so I chucked my address in and there's my KE70 with black GT stripes sitting in the driveway! How cool is that shit!? I dunno about the rest of the country, but I can work out when my photos were taken based on how many and which cars are in my backyard... :) in my case, september last year which is MUCH more recent than Googles which are several years old. Mind you, google get their older images for free from the public domain, Whereis has to pay for them by loading their site…

Looking down at my keyboard this morning while purchasing something on ebay got me thinking. Do the English have a different keyboard on their computers? I notice how there is no "£" symbol on our keyboard, only the "$" sign.

I was flushing the cooling system in my 'cruiser today. When I was refilling the rad I bumped the rad cap..somewhere. For the love of god, I cannot find it. I'll go buy another tomorrow, but it really gives me the shits!! Once when I was an apprentice I managed to "drop" my spark plug socket into the chassis rail of an ea falcon. if that car is still going (most unlikely as it is a ford) my socket is still in there. There was no way to get it out!! So what have you dropped/knocked that made it to a place where no human could possibly put it?

Well today is officially the hottest day in the 16 years i have graced this planet with my presence. It's 47 degrees out the back, and our air-con isn't making it bearable. At dad's factory, they didn't stop working all day as their boss is a tightarse and he believes that as long as its under 60 degrees in the factory its okay. Dad informed me it was 58.4 degrees, unbearable, yet if they stopped working they would be sacked. Will this heat in Melbourne just go away? Maybe it's what drove that nutcase 35-year-old man to stop on the West Gate Bridge, get out of his car and throw his 5-year-old daughter over the side to her death. Let's hope he burns in …

Hey guys, Part of my uni course I need to talk to residential builders about different processes - such as timber selection for trusses, concrete mixtures, foundation types etc and get a letter or email from the person who is helping me stating they have done so. My issues is that I don't know anyone in the construction industry at all, and I work from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday full time. So I'm hoping maybe there is someone on here who could help me out from time to time? If you spare a couple of minutes, can you please PM me, or reply to this thread, I would extremely grateful. Thanks Tom.

Please read I personally think this is a little harsh considering the person is a new member...perhaps a nicer way of letting them know these things might be a more intelligent way to go about it hey? I'm sure if someone has what he needs, he can provide them with specific details to work out postage...perhaps he doesn't want his post code posted on a website for all to see? Sorry dad? I understand the fact that the rules need to be enforced...but this is more of a public humiliation than a nice way to welcome and teach new members...Perhaps he has never used a forum before, and didn't realise that when the page f@$ks out and he presses submit o…

If you would be able to mention What Service What Era or timeframe What rank or position you gained And just your experiences as a whole that would be awesome. Just to start off I am in the Australian Air Force Cadets as a Cadet Under Officer. Joined in 2004.

Wish list time. If I could have any 5 Corollas, this would be what my list would probably look like (in no particular order): TE27 Levin Corolla WRC (AE102 [i think] 3-Door Hatch) Initial D AE86 (Mmm, it beats Skylines) Current Model 3-Door Group N Rally Car (3-Door) KE55 with 4AGZE (hey, I had to make it so I've already achieved part of my wish)
