I am currently looking at a set of rims for my ke11 and I cannot decide if I should go 14" x 6.5" on front, or 15" x 6.5" then on the rear 14" x 7.5" or 15" x 7.5" If you look at the pictures below I have plenty of room to spare if I get the inside of the guards professionally rolled there should be plenty of room and that is the height it will be staying. I will also be keeping the original rims and tyres for those odd occasions  . If someone has some pictures or experience with this size rim on a ke1x vehicle I would like to hear your comments, pros and cons. thanks guys and gals :y:

Hey guys i have a spare 16v and 20v motor lying around minus 20v head, and plan on doing a twin carbed conversion with the 16v,however because i have looked at the 16v motor warrant sheet it failed on a few of things for the motor (excessive smoke and whatnot) and my mate being an engine rebuilder would the the 16v head bolt straight up to the 20v block or is there little variations.my mate says if the 16v block has to be used it will cost a lot more as the 20v motor was my sisters and it was the oil rings that let go only.any help with this would be much appreciated thanks.

Hi, Have been having trouble with my girlfriends ra40 stalling. It's an automatic and at first the problem started happening in gear when stopped, so I thought brake master cylinder, vacuums or torque converter. But checked all the vacuum lines and they seem fine, replaced o ring on master cylinder so that's not leaking or anything. But now its started stalling in neutral too, it's not idling at all anymore. Thinking carby or something could be the problem but not sure. Just after any tips. Cheers, Jake

Okay so i finally got my 18rgu today and throughout the whole day my dad has been complaining about how much i got it for. i bought it off a friend of dads, he was originaly asking for $1000 but dad hassled him down to $800. i was originaly thinking i was payin $1000 just for the engine plus the twin dellortos on it plus the extractors but when i went to pick it up the guy was like "what you see is what you get" and sitting with the engine was a radiator to suit the engine, an electronic fuel pump, and altinator, this fuel preasure regulator thing, and a msd motorcycle idnition thing. now my question is, was all of this worth $800 or not? and also, what does this msd ign…

Greetings all I'm a complete virgin to this site so forgive me if i post this in the wrong section :-) I have just got myself a new baby, a 1970 corona 4 door rt80 1.5 litre little beast. It is in cracker nick to, but its braking is something to be desired. Even after replacing the pads:-( My question is simple. Does anyone know how hard it is to replace the front drum brakes with disc brakes? I have been browsing the net. but have found diddily squat. it does seem that a later built rt80 had front disc's so I'm hoping that it will be easy...ish. Cheers

does anyone have the wiring diagram for the ignition/coil for a 1975 ke35. basically ive got 4 wires which i thought all went to the coil - 2 negative and 2 positive. ive put a 4age in and put a multimeter on the wires and checked them, put the appropriate ones onto the terminals of the 4age coil then checked the dash and all the lights were on (with the key off). so i took one of the wires off the negative terminal and it sparked, so i took it off and put a multimeter on it and there was nothing when i earthed it (the multimeter) to the body or engine manifold, but when i earthed it to the ignitor/coil bracket there was about 4volts going through it. so pretty …

I'm really not sure what model this is...seems to be only a limited run of them. The only difference I can find is some emissions changes and a compression drop. This is most likely the 3K-C Engine Engine Displacement (cc): 1166 Firing Order: 1342 Spark Plugs Type: Denso W16EP Gap (mm): .80 Compression Pressure (psi): 149 Distributor Make: Denso DWELL: 52±2 Point Gap (mm): .40-.50 Ignition Timing Initial/Static: 8@Idle C/S Fuel System Make/Type: Aisan Float Level (mm): 6.5 Idle Speed (rpm): 750±50 Emission CO%: 0.3-2.0 Fuel Pump Pressure (psi): 2.8-4.3 Fuel Capacity (cc/min@rpm): 900@5800 Oil Pressure (psi): >45@3000 Valve Clearances Inlet…

Hey guys, I own a 1997 Corolla, 130k on the clock and no oil leaks at all and very well looked after, nice and tidy. I am posting because I am looking for advice from someone in-the-know. (Please don't get the wrong impression) I am a young driver so am restricted to lower performance cars (for a good reason) and I'm not really a fan of wrapping myself or my mates around a tree. I wouldn't mind working my Corolla to increase it's performance and looks. I really like the look of a tidy, well done, corolla. But like I said I am looking for some advice. Is there anything you can do to these engines that would be at all worth while? I'm not someone who will be tr…

well, people always say you can put 1ggte pistons and rods into a 4k going off the measurements etc, so i thought to prove it true or false, having the majority of the ingredients. not a perfect experiement, but close enough. you will need 1ggte or gze or ge rods, so long as they are not gen 3 1ggte rods you will be fine, as these have a bigger big end. the ones i had had .25 oversize bearings, so they were a little tight on the crank, but for my purpose all was well. i also had no bearings on the crank, don't know what id done with them, bin I'm guessing. but it was bolted in, so again, close enough :lolcry: i took the rings off the piston for ease of use. and…

I don't know a whole lot about the 1K head and I've been offered a fairly worked one by a workmate. Yet to actually see it so I can't say about whats been done to it. I'm pretty sure they fit onto 5K blocks? If so would there be a gain from this or just a waste of time... or actually kill power? Either way I'll be making some form of meaty K-motor over my holidays coming up, just tossing around some ideas until then. Cheers.

Hello to all, I am a new first time corolla owner and have a question about it. It's a 99 with the 1.8 1zz engine....It has a misfire that happens at all times,I've checked spark and all 4 wires are getting spark.checked the fuel injectors and number 4 injector does not have a signal so it's not injecting fuel.I checked voltage and I get 12volts to the b/w wire and I also have continuity in the black wire from the injector harness all the way back to the ecu.I went as far as to bypass the harness and run a separate wire from the ecu to the injector and still nothing.it seemed to me I had a bad ecu so I got ahold of another one same numbering and all but still nothing.I'm…

Whats peoples opions on supercharging and turbos (what do you recommend for the 1ZZ-FE engine) ? Being a considerable some of money i want to be confindent that i made that right choice when i do go through with it. Thanks

Ok second thing I have a rattle and squeak over about 70ks coming from my diff only started in the last week seams to be coming from the front of the diff and there is a touch of play in the front bearing is it possible to replace it at home or just look for another diff? I need to get a new diff anyways as it's 4:30 and I want 4:11 but it's annoying on the way to work Thanks guys Miller

Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone knows anything about 2-stroke motors, or more precisely scooter motors. I have a Bolwell scooter and have fitted a 70cc big bore kit and an exhaust, the problem is that it goes really nice when it's first started but after about 5-10 mintues it just doesn't want to idle. Come to a stop, let it idle, and it just dies. I have to rev it to keep it going, but it idles heaps smooth just after starting. Can anyone help? Cheers in advance Jono
