Ok well i got my 4k turbo running now it is blowing a shitload of smoke out of the exhaust and onluy running on two cylinders does anyone know what is wrong:S

Outers are KE70 standard items off my car, went to put my ae86 struts on with the inners that are supposidly ae86 p/s arms but they don't fit the ae86 struts. they bolt up to the ke70 standard struts fine though and are shorter.. anyone come across this before?

Hey all, i have been researching, but maybe not enough i recently got an oil catch can, i have seen on this site on how to install them on a carby but not EFI I have an EFI 5k Turbo setup, there are 2 outlets on the rocket cover one in the middle and one towards the end (firewall) the middle one isn't connected to anything and neither is the back on it just has that check valve (one way valve) the problem i had is when i connected the middle hose to the EFI on de acceleration it was sucking oil from the engine into the manifold and blowing an insane amount of smoke! i have an oil catch can but not sure where to connect everything to. the way i …

My friend has AE90/Holden nova with dead 4A-FC twin cam carb motor. I've been looking for cheap 4A-FC but no luck, I found a low km well price 4A-FE injected motor and want to know if the carbi intake manifolds and exhuast manifold are direct bolt up fit? Also will it bolt up to the gearbox the same way? Engine mounts the same? Anyone know? I'd do a whole EFI conversion for her but she doesn't have the money.

hey guys, well the motor came out of my ke20 today and ive got a twin carbed 5k going in, the only problem is the linkages came in a ice cream container in about 100000 peices? and I'm not really sure how to put it all back together? so would any one be able to help me with photos of how theyre motor looks so i can piece mine together, or give me abit of a how to or a place to get further info or something please? thanks.

wats goin on lads and ladies if there are any on rolla club ha ha.. no offence meant at all.. decided to run an AE86 pedal box n just modify it (yet to happen haha) once it is in the interior will go bak in and the inlet manifold will go bak on and then I'm basically ready to get it wired up.. i have the existing looms and the computer ready to go.. wondering if anyone who knows thier shit would be keen to wire it up probably january.. if anyone is seriously keen and they definately know how then get bak to me with roughly how much coin wanted n we'll take it from there.. let me know.. heathrow

my light doesnt come on when i open the door anymore, I'm thinking its the switches on the door have gotten old. the light is switched to door and it works fine when i set it to on. where can you buy new ones? or should i try my luck with the wreckers, or is there sumthing else i can do?

Hi all i was after a fuel cap to fit a ke36 i was wondering if any one had a spare they would part with for $$ or would no were i could get one (preferably original) i have alredy bought a couple from diffrent places but they have been crappy generic cpc brand ones that continue to leak fuel down the side of my panel leaving ugly stains (also how would i go about removing the fuel stains in the paint)-the ajax isnt cutting it any help appreciated thanks guys

hey my ke is alsome at the moment except for a little problem which bugs me. its running rough it wont idle at a one speed it keeps goin up and down. also when your driving and you put your foot down the car sort of stutters then takes off like it isnt getting enough air or fuel. my uncle says ive got a air leak or crap in the carby, i cleaned the carby blew it out and put a new gasket between the carby and manifold but it still doing it but not as bad. i think i might have a leak where the motor and the manifold join. this problem doesnt stop me from driving it as i just recently welded the diff up its mad goin sideways at 60k around the corner while its screaming a 5…

ke20 stock motors have a cable or hydraulic clutch?. reason I'm asking is because i have a ke20 with a 2t celica motor and the clutch master cylinder is leaking want to know if the cluch is from the ke20 or the ta22. i bought it with the motor in it already so i don't know.

I was poking around the wrecking yard today and came across a 87 or so toyota van with a 3y engine. What shocked me was it looked an awful lot like my 3k..... are they related or am I just imagining this. if these are related I'm thinking swap mmmmmmm 2 litres........

First things first, I'm unsure if this is the right forum, so modes please feel free to move it where ever appropriate if I've stuffed up. Ok basically I have come across a fairly clean KE70 shell and the plan is to throw in a 4k. Not just any old 4k I'll strip it down to a bare block and be building it myself. My questions are. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find forged pistons, and cam's. I'm sure I can still pick up a gasket kit etc. Also I did a quick search looking for a 4kc build but there doesn't seem to be anything. So any advice you have will be great. Hey guys, i have a really bad knocking noise coming from the front of my car, I'm thinking it could be the steering rack? any ideas? is this a common issue?

The pinion shaft has come loose in my diff centre and made contact with the pinion and crown wheel chipping the teeth. The pinion and crown wheel still turn ok so I would like to lock this centre via welding with my arc welder. I have a new diff for the car so don’t care how long the locker lasts. It’s always had a lot of backlash anyway. What I want to know is: • Can I weld the pinion shaft to the differential case? Would I use cast iron rods? • Do I use cast iron rods when welding the side and pinion gears? Locker will be used at the track for sliding practice. Any help would be dandy.

Please, does anyone have a exhaust-intake manifold gasket suit 4K engine. My head is ported and has extractors and ive had a couple gaskets made up which work for 2 weeks then begin to tick again ... grrr! The one that was made for the head has now fallen apart. So, wanted to buy - manifold gasket suit 4K with ported head & extractors.... cash!

Yo all. Building me up a straight ghetto AE71 for 90% daily work, 10% possible drifting practice. So in this case, i have a few questions in regards to surge tanks. - Does the AE71 standard fuel tank have no baffling as standard, designating the need for an external fuel pump + surge tank setup? - If i was to place the surge tank in the boot, is it ill-advised to have my battery relocated to the boot as well? A hypothetical situation i was thinking was spark from battery into enclosed space of boot + petrol vapour = bang. - If that is not / should not be a problem, are there legality concerns in regards to the above setup on the street? Right, just need another brain to confirm that Ive cooked my ECU. Yesterday I was trying to fix my head light when I blew some fuses, but think I blew more than that. For a bit I had limp home mode, but then everything died, no engine light, no fuel prime, nothing. All other electrics, lights, stereo, heater etc are all still fine. Pulled the ECU out and it just revs as if it was still plugged. Anyone got one I could borrow and perhaps buy if it fixes it? Cheers

Hi, Went to remove the inner and outer tie rods on my KE15 today but the adjuster in the middle wont unscrew off them ;) I didn't try to force it as it looked fragile but how is this achieved? What is the best way to remove the tie rods from the connecting tube with no damage. Cheers Cameron

So recently bought and had installed a recon 5k motor, had all my old stuff of the 4k put on there. First question is while wearing the motor in like a grandpa ofcourse I've been noticing when I slighty put my foot down while not under load and in low revs I get a loud almost tapping sound? Second question is it worth putting a 5k started motor in or is the 4k one plenty enough? Think my current one is struggling so wanting to replace shortly. Thank you in advance Scott

Hey, Bottom hose on radiator got too close to the alternator and was cut. Need a new one now but don't know what hose to get. 2tg engine with a standard ke30 radiator. I have the hose that was on there but have no idea what it came out of. Hopefully someone can help me. Got pics below of where the hose needs to go and what was on there before.
