Hey guys, got a t-50 short shift, but requiring a spacer plate in order to bolt it to the gearbox. Where bouts you get one of these fabricated, or possibly know anyone here who might just happen to have one lying around :yes: Cheers guys

Hey guys, installed new carby. all good except for the accelerator mechanism While my Throttle cable isnt connected, the mechanism which it connects to, on the side of the carby; works "fine" doesnt seem to feel real good, but still works, springs back to closed throttle and idles at approx 1k RPM But when the throttle cable IS connected, it appears that it restricts the mechanism from fully closing. Is this a matter of replcing the springs which allow the mechanism to return to close the throat of the carby? Possibly missing a spring??? Thanks guys

Some of you may remember reading that i converted my ke25 from a 7k turbo, to a standard 5k which ive just recently had rebuilt. Ive bought a ke70 now and i want to put the 7k turbo into the ke70 for burnout comps, the problem is that the motor over heats really easy, it has a standard 3,4,5k radiator and a engine fan at the moment, I'm thinking that obviously i should put a bigger rad in it with a thermo fan considering the motor came out of a liteace van and the rad would have been a lot bigger then the standard one. But is that the best option? is there a better way? :no2:

Have just put a Weber 32/36 on my 4K-C KE70, with extractors and a 2 1/4 exhaust. I'm just trying to get it to run reasonably well for the moment because dyno tuning is a bit out of the budget at the moment, so id just like to here specifically what jets people are running so i have got a closer point to start jetting mine from, cos mine runs like shit so far and i don't want to spend to much more on jets cos there friggen expencive. Hi all, just been searching around your site to try and find information about putting a ca18det into my ke30. I have found that I can put the engine and box in with out to many issues i was just after some information on upgrading the brakes, chosing a good diff set up and any worthwhile suspension set ups. This is a 9 month project to get it on the road and legal so some simple good combinations for a good road/weekend warrior set up. I was looking at corona front discs with ln107 hilux 4 pot calipers on the front but not sure about the rear. as stated 04 forester rear suspension is knocking and sloppy if that makes sense. anyone know the common faults with them? its an 04 2.5X N/A auto. 170,000 k's.

hi all i have an 1988 ae82 corolla. i recently bought a new aluminium radiator but it was for an ae92. but still for a 4agze. i feel like a bit of an idiot. the part hasn't arrived yet but it's been paid for. will it still fit, or how much do i have to change? just get a new multi fit fan? cheers

G,day guys I'm new to this web site and to be honest new to corolla's them self. I'm looking to by a ke10 and swap all the drivetrain, diff, gearbox, 4AGE engine and ecu etc out of the AE86. I'm pretty much just wondering if anyone has done this before and if so what difficulties did you find. also while I'm here i was wondering if the old ke10 gearbox's have the same bell house bolt dimensions are the same as the AE86 T50 gearbox? cheers look forward to more discussion in future.

Hey guys, I got a really stupid question. Basically i got my car (a 3k) tuned a little while ago and it was running pretty good, after a couple of weeks it started to run dodgey....like it stalls everytime i stop after a bit of racey driving, would have big flat spots under heavy throttle use, and kinda misfires. So earlier today the oil light had taken a little bit longer to turn off after starting the car, so i put about 200ml's of oil in and all of a sudden it's running fairly decent again. Does the oil affect engine performance that much? I know that the head (even after being rebuilt) has worn valve guides, so that's why my oil dissappears everytime i start the car, …

Got a 32/36 on a 3T-C and noticed that when the secondary throttle is opening (after half throttle) the secondary accelerator pump jet doesn’t squirt fuel. Primary pump jet is sweet. Seems to be a slight stumble between primary and secondary and thought this would be why. Got 50/60 idle jets which I think should be about right. So yeah is the secondary accelerator pump jet supposed to work on these things? Help appreciated.

So I am doing a manual swap into my Ae82 4ALC, I pulled a transmission from an 87 FX16 GTS. I read somewhere they came with a c52, however mine doesnt appear to be a C52 from the pictures I have seen. It only has one "Ear" but looks almost identical to the c52 otherwise. Basically I need to know which CV axles to buy.. Does anyone have an idea of which transmission I may have, or what axles I need? I pulled numbers off the trans case: 61106943 And off the plate on the trans: 1NXAE89G0, followed by 1Z412164 Does anyone know how to decode this business? Thanks for any help in advance.

Hi guys, Just going thru the mess of wiring/relays i have, i am at the electrical part of my sr20/ke55 conversion. There is one relay i can't figure out what it's for. I think it's the relay that sat on the inner guard near the battery, what was that for? (starter motor??) Any help would be great. Thanks

Hey guys, i'm in the process of trying to get a rwc on my keto and was wondering if anyone would know what sort of cable the bigger one in the pic is? the smaller ones a standard i got off a mate, but i can't seem to find one that fits the box?... as you can see see the problem with the bigger one is that it simply doesn't have the cable in it.

i've managed to get myself a 5 speed from the wreckers to put in. at the wreckers i took the side plate off and dumped all the oil and checked all the gearsets for visible damage. all good. so the question now is how much oil do i put back in? and also is there a preference on viscosity and breed of oil? do i fill it through the side plate? it's a k50 box, thanks for your input

Hey, I've been looking at different stock toyota upgrades, and came across the 17mm tercel rear swaybar upgrade. This got me wondering, does the tercel have a borgy like E7s? Searching on tercel4wd/google, i found hints that the tercel has a T series diff, so I was interested to know if this is a viable upgrade option, like the T18 diff. My mate bought me an electric dizzy from a swap meet a few months ago thinking it was to suit a K motor, but it isnt. Its a Nippondenso internal ignitor type. has the part number of 100291-0190 on it. has a small inprint on it of 2017 too just trying to work out what its for and can't find anything on the net... anyone know where to look or have the info on hand?? cheers, Scott.

Hi all, I've got my wagon back on the dyno again and it's revving it's tits off at highway speed's. 4agte + T50 + stock diff = 4000rpm @ 110k's As I'll be on the highway for 1/2 an hour each way to work that's just not gonna cut it, I don't know what the ratio is as I forgot to check while I was at the tuners, but was thinking because it's a wagon it may have a lower ratio to cope with the larger load capacity? I think It's a little worse know that I have 14's with 75 series rubber on the back, but I don't know how much of a difference it will make compared to the 14's with 50 series tyres that were on it. hey all just picked up a ke70 for $200 had a stuffed motor so i put my good motor into it had a stuffed choke cabel but can't figure out how to remove it to replace it with my good one any help appreciated thanks :D

having problems with clutch cable atm. can't seem to find how it goes, i got some pics so maybe someone can help. Number 1 seems the obvious spot for the clutch cable to go thru, but that means it has to bend sharply to reach top of pedal (number 3) Number 2 seems right for it, but the rubber cup bit the cable go through don't fit in in thaat hole. I'm lost. very lost
