Hey everybody, thought some of you may take interest in my current project. I've fitted a centrepoint injection throttlebody from an EA f@lcon :P to the standard manifold, controlled by a DIY megasquirtII v3 EFI computer. This involved also fitting extra coolant and air intake temperature sensors, a return line to the fuel tank, and a high pressure pump. I also used the ECU to run my shift light and thermo fan, among other things. Having got this working I fitted a wideband oxygen sensor to the exhaust so the ECU can self tune. I'm a Datsun man, i love restoring them.... But i've always been fond of the old Corollas and after owning an 84 KE70 as a rally car i've always wanted one as a dailey. Anyways, i just sold my car, then my parnter in crimes car broke down, leaving us desperate for a car. It seems that, unless you stumble onto a bargain these days, most people want BIG$$$ for these machines, i so i bought an "in need of love" specimen. The guy who sold it to me was dodgey as, but i knew what i was in for so i bought it. I picked this up from wagga wagga last night, bought for $405 with a bit of rego left on it. The trip home was something else, the owners assured me that they had put fuel in it for me that morning, it was so low it didnt even make it fully into the nearest servo's driveway before coughing and spluttering (all of 1km) and stalling out completely at the pump. After we filled up we hooned the 130km home up the highway. Will eventually be gutted for drive line as I needed a good 4k for me ke30. Hey Guys n gals So I'm still working on my other project but i was getting the itch to drive a rolla again and i came across this little gem 1979 KE55 sedan 4k with 5 spd it has a bucket load of new things like battery,hoses, tyres, coil, pitman arm, shocks, etc etc It's in fantastic condition, just needs a couple of minor things an it'll be sweet Plans for this one include - new steering wheel, new carpet, fix L/H rear door handle and maybe a new stereo (the old AM can get a bit tiresome) That pretty much it at this stage, just going to keep it a stocker

hey guys time to start another build thread so i found what i thaught to be a ae71 spirit, turned out to be a ke70! owned buy a young girl, i asked if she was keen to sell and she was, i offered her 1000 without driving it, took it for a drive and noticed that mosdt of the car was actually f@$ked, gearbox was noisy in first, seat had colapsed, tappets where going off there nuts cd player worked some times, and was plain filthy, ended up getting it for a decent price to say the least, fixed it, cleaned it, drove it, crashed it, fixed it, drove it, then the engine decided it would stop holding its fluids (used 3 ltr of 20/50 a week!) but it shot off a coola…

hey there , well this is my ke30 i have striped it down to a shell getting ready for paint, my dads mate is a pannel beather whos showing me how to do most of the prep work befor he finishes it off and sprays it , i have a 13b bridge port sitting on my shed floor witch is goign in to it once it comes back from south coast rotory in october getting all new seals throw it , the car has no rust anywhere only tiny little peices of serfice rust i brought this car off the orignal owner for 200 the old lady i brought it off never realyy drove it it only has 54000 on the clock no mayjor dings just slight body rippel, hopefully ill have some pice of the motor soon but hir…

ok, boys....just bought a 1982 TE72 2 dr sedan 3TC, t50, factory air. it's been sitting 4 years; i put a battery in it, turned the key, and it fired right up. it runs on 3 cylinders, but the compression is good....160-170 on all cylinders. it smokes some until it warms up, the carpet is ruined from the clutch master cylinder leaking, the carb is plugged up. my plan is to lower it 2", do the exhaust (no muffler on it now) weber, extractor, fix the a/c. i LOVE the way david's car turned out....fook's too. the whit with a black hood looks awesome. pics when i get them $250usd. *edit* oh yeah....his name is "Bubba"

Well here is my new project car. To start off i am just fixing the few rust spots in her (have already cut the rust out just gotta weld in new steel u can see it in the pics) and going to colour match it all to the original colour. BUT the wheels from my Lanos are going on it next weekend, as well as the steering wheel i hope, as well as an exhaust in the very near future and a stereo, oh so many plans.. these are the wheels on my old baby i'm guessing it will be a slow process but it will get there eventually.. got no pics of the Rolla yet but i will before and after the wheels..

Hey all this is my puple baby. ca18 det powered ke20 coupe. the car is running at the moment was driving but is just about to go off the road for a r31 skyline brogwarner diff conversion, going to run 3.9 gears and a mini spool. the car has race seats, 15inch simmons usues the 180sx dash with lots of autometer gauges. big pwr cooler still uses the ke20 radiator with the 180 thermo fan, going to uprgrade but works well at the moment. saving money and looking into brake upgrades. will keep you posted on further devolpoments.

Hi all, my missus finally got her first car and I'm proud to announce it's a Corolla. The car is a 1990 Corolla Seca SPIRIT! It's powered by an auto 4afc power-house, has 170k on the clock, and has 15" alloys. After watching this car on the forum for ages, and looking at countless peices of overpriced crap i finally decided to go have a look a haydo's KE38 down at victor harbour. After the long drive down there i decided to buy the car because of all the added goodies it came with such as coilovers, brake upgrade, weber, extractors, 5 speed and exhaust. When i got the car it had just dropped a valve, so the 4k-U was running like crap (i later worked out that it was only running on 2!), so it was a slow drive home in the hot weather for my little bro while i sat in my airconditoned armchair (Aristo). Picked another ke70 panel van up a little while back. Much better than my other one. Specs: 4k. 4 speed. few extra little bits here and there. No rust at all! Windowless! Slowly getting it ready. Got screwed around something chronic when i bought it. its still defected. but i'm getting it off in the next couple weeks. don't have many photos of it. just ones from when i first got it. This is my KE70 pano, brought it bout 4 months ago with a blown head gasket. Did the dodge and just took the head off cleaned with a razor blade and put a new gasket on, and its been the best car i've ever owned. I do need a LH park light cover though, so if anyone can help me find one it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone. I bought my first car for $500 the other day. It is a 1981 3sp Auto with a standard 4k. The paint is fairly rough it even comes off onto you hand as you wipe your hand across the car. The seats are very ripped and there is a big dent in the rear bumper. My Plans so far it to paint it in a dark metallic midnight purple with 16" or 17" Chrome rims and Cream Leather interior throughout.

I picked up a KE10, about 6 months ago now, from a fellow member. She is a bit rough, but that's okay. I'm planning to use it on the track car. THIS IS A VERY VERY VERY PART TIME CAR. I don't a great deal of anything to it... Ever! When I picked it up it had flat 12" stockies painted green with a VERY dodgy white wall. Hey everyone I'm back, and in a corolla again finally! Here is the new beast a stock as ae111 sprinter trueno. Bought her from QLD and drove her the 2000k's back home last weekend. She only has 54,000ks on her and is pretty tidy, the inside more so than the paint anyway (lucky I'm an ex painter and can work some magic on her) The only downside is that she is currently an auto, but we bought a gearbox clutch and flywheel with her and sourced the rest of the manual gear of an ae101 last weekend and bought new clutch master and slave yesterday so the conversion will be starting next weekend (have a jzx100 cruise today so this weekends no go) can't wait so over drivi…

so were to start. i got this ke70 for straight swaps for my fully sick minitruck.... (it was not full sick) that is the 1st day i got the car so is this one fit a ae86 notchback boot lip, don't worry the mounts were all stuffed so didnt wreck it. how the motor looked when i got it, talk about proplems on how it was put together. the manifold had 3 of the 9 bolts holding it on. so once i had realised how much was done wrong in the car i made my mind up i was goin to strip the whole car and fix it all. started with a new bigport head that came with the car then it was time to try get it running, spend about 6 weeks tracing wires b…

Hi all, I just recently purchased an unregistered 1981 Corolla KE55 Sedan for $300 with only 264,000 k's. In pretty good condition, paint needs a bit of work but it's definately a work in progress. At the moment it is running just the standard 4K-C engine and 4sp gearbox. Hoping to maybe upgrade to a 2TG engine and upgrade to a 5sp T50 gearbox. I've heard this is the most common conversion...but unfortunately can't do all this until i get off my P plates (stupid new laws!). bought this KE30 for $700 about 3 weeks ago. Since then ive replaced the front bumper with a straighter one. Got new balljoints in front, new rear wheel bearings, and a wheel alignment. Replaced the big truck wheel with a not so big one. put in crack free lights, with perfect chrome trimming. Put chrome triming off a KE55 along the window bits. Took the but ugly seat covers off and left standard seats how are. Plan on lowering it 1 1/2 inches, better seats in front, swap out 3k for a 4 or 5k, bigger exhaust, CD player, and a boot install. here is pics as it sits now, sorry for shit pics, camera not working so had to use phone.

Well I have decided to put my 5k motor into the ke20. But first things first, I have taken it down to get reconditioned. I'm getting it bored out and fitted with flat top pistons if available seeing that the 5k motors came with scalloped out pistons because the combustion chamber is in the piston rather then the head, so this will up the compression. Also i'm getting a mild cam put in it and getting it ported and polished and bigger valves if possible. The guy said the motor will be ready to pick up by the end of the month.
